This is the laziest cheapest Victoria’s Secret in it’s history. I’m curious what you would say about past shows. Start from 2005 if you do. I would definitely watch you react to all since.
Tha Gay Gaymer Yes, I would highly recommend 2005 when Giselle wore the most expensive fantasy bra ever, icon Justin Timberlake sexy back performance and my fave the 2007 think pink runway with Miranda opening
@@that_missing_link i don't think that was the time she wore the most expensive. But she wore that fantasy bra as well that time. Her walk was the iconic talk in that year.
Do they? Being born beautiful is out of their control, they didn't have to work for that. Staying this skinny isn't even good it just promotes eating disorders. I think we'll leave the title of people who "work so damn hard" to people like veterans, nurses, firefighters etc
Maria Athena easy kid, those women don’t weigh that little, you’re over exaggerating ;) but i’m not a fan of that there’s only skinny white girls on the runway tho and fucking kendall and bella uGHH
There wont it's a faze. In fact there is inclusivity when it come womens modelling unlike mens modelling theres plus size modelling where none of the fashion girls get work
Dude dont be scared to say it because you're right everyone wants to shit on VS but let's be serious the show is bloody glamorous as F. People are scared to admit because they dont want to look like they're not being progressive
The VS show is such a weird contradiction to me. Like they try to make the models 'relatable' and try to get you invested in them by publicizing their names and personalities. But at the same time they want to sell a 'fantasy' by airbrushing their abs, giving them all fake tans, and making them work out like 12 hours a day. So are they supposed to be relatable or not????
"this is the fantasy.. This is my nightmare" I died lol. Thank you for watching this, even though you knew would hate half of it before you started haha
Wow, the essence of much of your commentary seemed to flight straight over a lot of people’s heads, and it cracks me up to see people thinking you were glorifying Kendall Jenner
The brand is suffering on so many fronts. Firstly, they're over priced especially considering that they're not ethically or sustainably produced. Then there's the problematic and exclusionary brand image. And then there's the trend towards comfortable women's underwear, especially bras. They would be clever to focus a bit on bralets and supported camisoles, but I hope they don't because I don't want them to do well.
Me too. I was obsessed in the 00s but pretty much every since Gisele left I've been meh about it and not watched for years. This here was the best viewing I could have hoped for.
@@1313aves Of course their brand isn't suffering. Their models are insta famous which is basically cheap advertisement. The models have universal fans so they'll always succeed if they put models with a LARGE following.
@@1313aves Totally agree. I think its that saying "Ignorance Is Bliss", the general public wont know if a company's CEO is racist or not they only kniw the products and the advertisements. Like, the VS store near where I live still has 12 year olds girls to 45 year of women checking it out coz they know the brand is "sexy and comfortable" despite being overpriced. And not every article on the internet will speak out against VS unless theyre from a more liberal conscious media (coming from a "liberal" lol). It's just sad. People want representation to be true and not false but they cant have it without a profit agenda behind it. And as someone who's purchased from VS, i dont feel beautiful wearing my bralette, its not comfortable at all and makes my boob look super weird (look flat). And even on sale it was still £25 for no reason.
Victorious Secret is so bland and watered down. The music is even safe... The Chain Smokers and their 3 same chords and 2 note range. Uggghh great video though.
ALLAN KIRK I just ranted about not getting Victoria’s Secret’s popularity, but you know what else I don’t get? The chainsmokers. Why. It’s so bland and all their songs sound the same.
@@Sechari I'm a huge fan of EDM, but the Chain Smokers being at forefront of dance music annoys me because they do not innovate. Give me an Arca or Aphex Twin any day.
"She looks like she's wearing Vercase.." "She reeaallly looks like she's wearing Versace.." "Ok......IS SHE.. WEARING VERSACE??" LMFAO!!! The level of concern on your face had me CRYING!!!
I totally agree with you about Mary Katrantzou deserving more credit for her amazing work with prints. I’d actually love to see her do a capsule collection collaboration with H&M like the Moschino, Versace and Balmain ones.
i agree on more on the body inclusivity trend but at the same time, i dont get the hate on these models, they work hard for these bodies and that’s what they are paid for. if everyone can attain such figures then it would not become a job is it??? what i really what from these shows is more people of color, more asian please but not the typical east asian stereotypes, what about south east asians, the indians??? more africans, more latinos.
My question would be "selling the fantasy" to who exactly, who does he think his audience really is? The women who actually buy and wear your products or the narrow, old-fashioned, male ideal of female attractiveness. Does he not realise this isn't the 40's/50's, peoples idea on what is sexy or attractive is far more inclusive and expanded than back in the day.
i agree w you ---you can literally see it in their sales and ratings lol which have been declining for a while. This "fantasy" isn't connecting with their consumer demographic anymore. The CEO stepped down, the company is a mess, i mean VS's parent company (who's sales mainly come from VS) went down 41% this year alone. Women in recent years are seen to buy more supportive/comfortable bras and bralettes at a better price rather than a lacy pushup for $60. lmao it bothers me when people try to argue the VS Angel branding is still people's ideal because the company is literally going in the toilet because of it.
I am a skinny woman (5'11/180cm and 128lbs/58kg). Victoria secret stopped selling 30/65 band size, so i can not wear their bras anymore. So even skinny people get excluded
I hate to say it, but the VSFS is for men, not for women. It started as the first fashion show available to watch online, and was designed from the get to to focus on "sexy". I don't really know any woman who watches the VSFS and is like "oh wow this makes me want to go buy their clothes now!" It's for the men who want to oggle, and for women to feel "inspired" who want to try to live up to an ideal that is near impossible to obtain.
She is just there because of her family. Kendall hasn’t got a awfull catwalk, actually is good, but i don’t think that she deserves to be in such a big show when another models work very hard to get there.
also, these models train like elite athletes. It wouldn’t be very fair either if there was a fat lazy woman walking next to them who was out of breath by the time she reaches the front of the runway.
The show was filmed before the horrible comments were made. When the show premiered on tv, Halsey posted about the comments and stated she would be donating to charity instead. Check out her Instagram!
@@olivierduncan6926 Yes darling... I am That's the good thing about the internet...you never know with whom you are speaking 😊 Just know that plenty of the Victoria secret models are trans and remember I told you. This is a great channel btw.
I used to love the VS fashion show up until like 2013, i liked the models better, there were some fierce catwalks, the music matched the segments nicely, they had some amazing performances, the runways itself looked better in my opinion, and the designs were more interesting and fun. Also VS was never about the fashion i see the looks more like costumes that complement the lingerie some are good and some are just bad. Not that there weren't any misses but it used to be all in all more epic and entertaining to watch...but it all started to go downhill, each year it was more and more disappointing hence the low views. These models are not as good as the OG's (Gisele,Tyra..). All of the ones that i loved left Miranda, Alessandra, Erin, and now Adriana. This year's performances were especially bad, and i only liked 2-3 segments the rest was catastrophic, sad and boring. Plus Ed Razek's comments definitely had a negative impact on the company and i really hope the'll learn from this and start to be more inclusive. Btw love your videos Luke
So he pretty much just admitted the whole point of the show is just sexualizing women for ignorant cis straight dudes and has nothing to do with fashion....
E. Hanson the best part about it is that cis straight dudes aren’t the ones tuning in every year. It’s teen girls/LGBT+ teens, aspiring models, and people interested in fashion. None of these groups would be offended at a plus sized/trans woman on the runway
Eh, its less cis het dudes and more cis het women, cis het women have turned aspiration/thinspiration porn and self-hatred over the unattainable into a spectator sport.
Also like, nobody is a rita ora fan why is she all over fashion???? donatella and in this show and in magazines like i cant think of anyone who cares about her 😂😂
IKR. Im so fucking tired of these basic af celebrities like Rita Ora, Bebe Rexha, Anne-Marie, etc. We need people like Gaga, Katy, Rihanna, and Beyoncé to come back
i love all music on the inside they shouldnt pick a Trans Singer just because she’s trans. Can’t you just say “who really should be performing is Kim petras, an amazing pop star”. I don’t know her but I guess shes great.
I mean.. they’re models... they get paid millions because they’re beautiful they’re not going to choose an average looking woman and plus sized women’s bodies don’t fit the beauty standard
@@sophiesophie9146 you have to reevaluate what that "beauty standard" consists of, we've moved past the idea that only certain body types are deemed "beautiful" in media.
I am a skinny woman (5'11/180cm and 128lbs/58kg). Victoria secret stopped selling 30/65 band size, so i can not wear their bras anymore. So even skinny people get excluded
I'm so over Halsey. She's soooo preachy all the time and sooo quick to point out other people's problematic behaviour, but she has no problem performing at the VS show. What a hypocrite.
Melanie R-F my problem is that she waited until after the show to talk abt the comments, she could’ve talked abt it when they came out because they did before it aired
micayla I actually don’t have a problem with that, at least she didn’t say it before because people will forget about her comments after the show aired
Is the Victoria Secret show really relevant anymore? It’s not even fashion. It basically seasonal porn for straight men and unrealistic body envy for women.
Fasion is arbitrary so i can't really agree or disagree with that. Also, just because someone wears lingerie does not automaticaly make them porn stars. One more thing, if women feel envious that someone looks beautiful, that'san issue they have to fix because envy is never good.
I was 10 but I remember the Lane Bryant fashion show in 2003 that Anna Nicole Smith walked in when she was plus size and she and all the models were absolutely stunning and glamorous, I personally would watch that instead of the VS fashion show, like some of those looks,, the color combinations alone are....choices.
I wish more people would realize Victoria's Secret owns Lane Bryant. Also maybe they should create a section of trans women in the show or a separate brand catering to all types of trans women.
Aw I felt bad by the way you were reacting to Barbara Palvin. She’s so cute and just goofing around. I’ve always loved her poses at the end of the vs runways cos they’re original and suit the theme. She doesn’t just do the same old hip pop and kiss that a lot do. I guess it’s a matter of personal taste. If VS cringes you out by their flirty playfulness then it’s not the show for you. There’s tones of high fashion shows that require the models to be stoic and showcase only the clothes and not their personalities. VS is different. It’s all about the models making the runway their own. The models come first and the clothes second.
The whole point of a fashion show is to show off clothing, not the models. That applies to every fashion show. Why show up to a fashion show just to watch a model? It's all about the clothes.
''It' s about the models'' It objetifies their models showing their bodies in an empty way. Even veterans legends said they felt like they were treat as a' 'piece of meat'', like Laetitia Casta and Gisele Bundchen.
I hate how forced and unnatural all of the models look. It would have been actually hot if the setting seemed more laid back and there were some bigger models in the show
some bigger models have unnatural look too w/ their extremely tiny waist and big hips. it goes both ways. it's just how the fashion and modelling industry works. they would certainly not settle with the "average look"
VS televised show is for men. Point blank. This is for the male fantasy. So i get that he wants to keep the trans out etc because of this. ITS WRONG. but it brings in the coins. Its not exclusive, its on a local channel. Not meant for fashion industry at its elite, its for local men. Idk. I'm all for spewing the tea, but then again there is a brand for everyone, & if VS is not it, there are so many other options
@@ak-tn1ed because women as well like to look at beautiful women. And women in general like to wear lingerie to be seen by their sig.other. its like it takes 2 to tango but there is definetly a male lead. So regardless who the biggest audiences is, the show is catered to the male TASTE. As well as, if women are the biggest audience then the fantasy is that sexy blonde anglo american body. As much ad people wanna deny that skinny bodies are not the fantasy. It sells. It has for a long time. Its problematic but again. Coins. Plus people buy VS because its VS. The show has little affect on sales. It just maintains the brand's fun teeny young boppin thin will always be the new sexy vibe. So. Meh.
heh? every person has a different sexual fantasy and if he cares about his company he should be catering to them all. We say that the young, tall, white cis woman is a "male fantasy" but I don't actually think that's super accurate. A lot of guys go crazy for a big girl. A lot of men love a transwoman. My girlfriend is trans, and she's the one who gets hit on by guys when we go out. I get the ladies lol. Besides, I would have thought a designer would *want* the challenge of different body types. oh, wait, nevermind: that would mean they had to think...
I saw someone say that the show is more for men lol or that the brand started as a way to make lingerie shopping more comfortable for men so it makes sense it's all tacky and weird, they even said they're selling a fantasy to the masses
wlw cats yea Victoria’s Secret only exists because a man was embarrassed to buy lingerie for his wife. The story went something like that and then he decided to open up Victoria’s Secret he made a little money then sold the company. After that profits skyrocketed and he jumped off the golden gate bridge. Its really sad.
Saying ‘Kendall should be a Victoria’s Secrets exclusive’ proves his lack of judgement, since she has been not only one of the worst models on the show this year, but on the VS entire history. Clearly he has some sort of favoritism there, just another “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” bushleague fan.
lol um are you dumb....he’s saying she needs to only model vs and get off every major house runway. i think his opinions about kendall are far from favoritism.
@@kallysanchez99 1. We know 2. She still cant walk after years of being a runway model 3. Shes not that deserving and lastly 4. If you dont detect the favoritism, you're unfortunately misguided
The only thing that i tend to dislike is when people belittle the VS models. They may not represent the majority by any means, but the idea of bringing these beautiful women down to bring other beautiful women up is saddening, because it doesn’t help women see eachother as beautiful. That being said VS needs a lot of work, and it’s absolutely right to criticize THE COMPANY but not the girls who still worked hard to get on that runway, it’s just a matter of VS allowing other hard working women who don’t fit the 2000s “fantasy” image that VS thinks is the only one that sells
I don't think every fashion brand should have EVERY type of models, it's okay to specialize in one type of body. Second, I don't think any model (Winnie Harlow) should be criticized for being in this runaway after that guy comments, we should not look people down for something someone at the top said. I'm not gonna criticize you for being american just because Trump is your president. And last, we shouldn't criticize the models bodies and classify them as "unnatural" etc, everybody has a beautiful body if theiy're being healthy about it. Just as you say "plus sized" women are okay, skinny women are too. Positivism and love! (But those clothes.... they DO need some harsh criticism lol)
@@SMARTYTVyt yes you can, many of the VS angels vlog on youtube, they show their everyday life, what they eat and cook, when and how they train, their photoshoots and work with VS and it really gives you an insight of how things really are for them. Its actually very interesting and makes things "click" by seeing that you understand why their bodys look they way they look, they are extremely healthy and if you think about it they get payed to look the way they do, they get payed to work out, take care of themselves and perform up to the brand standards, to me its no different than an athlete that gets payed to train, eat healthy and perform in their sport.
@@xxsofihinaxx while i appreciate that, i know from personal experience that maintaining a low body weight when you are tall is extremely unhealthy and taxing. just as you said, they have to keep up with brand standards. do you think Victoria Secret wants to get the same criticism as high fashion now does? no. so they cover it up. the reality is, you can't maintain a body mass of 16-17 when over 5'9 without restricting under your bmr. I'm 5'11, I know from my own experience with modeling and body weight, I had to restrict like an insane person to get down to weights around 125lbs. that is exactly how eating disorders develop because, after a certain point to which you engage with restrictive and purging behaviors, it becomes more or less about the job and more about the feeling. the modeling industry is extremely competitive and extremely toxic. they often threaten models to get major surgeries if the agency isn't happy with how the model looks and if they don't they are dropped, some endorse very dangerous eating habits and they create a very distressing workplace environment for those involved. when they tell you that they "eat like everyone" remember they have a brand to represent, VS isn't what real high fashion looks like. it's a facade.
@@SMARTYTVyt Well, I have to tell you that is not true. It depends on your body type, metabolism, eating habits, genetics, etc. I am 5'9 and I weigh 125lbs and I am neither unhealthy nor have I ever had to restrict myself or had an eating disorder. I just have healthy eating and living habits. I eat three full meals per day plus snacks in between but they are healthy, home-cooked meals without processed oils or ingredients, if I want chocolate or ice-cream I do eat them , I just do it in moderation, I workout everyday so I am fit and not skinny. I eat enough protein, I consume enough calories, I feel great and strong and all of that is the result of good eating and living habits which is evidenced by the fact that my entire family is above 5'9, with my dad being 6'5 and my aunt 6'0 , and all of us, including my mom and sister who are also 5'9 and weigh around 125-127lbs, have never had any eating disorders, health problems relating to weight, etc. And before you say that healthy eating and working out is a luxury for rich people with a lot of free time or for people, whose job is to look fit, I am a full time law student, my family isn't rich and we are not naturally extremely thin, we just eat healthy and take care of our bodies, which is to say that it is completely possible that these models look like that without having to starve themselves.
Victoria secrets was fun until they started trying to shove that the girls train so hard like athletes and it's the best night of the model's lives and so empowering like please. Like it kind of makes the whole thing looks ridiculous for them to do all that just to walk down a platform and blow a kiss. Like just keep at as shallow as it actually it is so it's just some harmless fun. Edit: good to know the marketing they use is working
People downgrade modeling but it's actually a very difficult career. The Victoria's secret fashion show, being the most infamous fashion show in the world, is EXTREMELY hard to get into. Getting into the Victoria's secret fashion show is like the Olympics for a model. So yes, the girls do have to work hard on their bodies and on their diets as if they were athletes. It's a lot more than just walking down the runway and blowing a kiss. People like you like to talk all big, but I bet if you spent a week working as hard as a model to do what they do, you wouldn't have anything to say anymore. It's extremely hard work. Don't judge others until you've walked in their shoes.
@@wolfie9137 Teen Wolf yeah but if they are planning for me to give the same admiration as I do to an actual athlete... That's just bloody stupid. As someone who actually did an internship at one of the biggest agencies in the world (Storm) I see how hard models have to work but at the end of the day, all the work is unnecessary as they choose to do it and for shallow reasons so why should I care more about Victoria secrets than for shallow reasons too?
being a vs model is a job. just like every other job there is a criteria. if you don’t fit the criteria you don’t get the job. simple as that. however i don’t agree with not including trans women. if a trans women fits everything they are looking forward she should get the job. also over the years the vs clothes have become so tacky.
I personally don't see anything wrong with the size of the models, they are the usual size of models (which there's nothing wrong with if it's natural) and at the peak for their physique. But more inclusivity would be a nice plus and make the show more relatable to the wider audience rather than the fashion industry, especially since their clothes are sold to the mainstream market. The offensive comments are not cool though
But it's called a SHOW for a reason. Its not supposed to be average. It would be a pretty damn boring show if it wasn't that fantasy that they base their show on
@@alissaa2809 I'm sorry but curves are spectacular by themselves, they don't need extra. The girls are super skinny (not very healthy in my opinion) to show off the clothes not themselves.
So many people here are arguing against inclusivity with "ZOMG oBeSiTy" and "ur jus jelly". How about a show with athletes? Send a powerlifter down the runway carrying a bench with a couple of gymnasts on it. Put a tank down each side of the runway and have an Olympic swimmer swim down, hop out to pose in a glamazon swimsuit that shows off her broad shoulders, and swim back down the other side. The VS body type, while it does take a lot of work to maintain, is 100% form over function. I'd rather they showcase beautiful bodies that were shaped by the desire to DO something.
With all due respect, I know you're trying to be entertaining but you're coming off as so negative and so extra, it's not even funny and feels almost toxic. Clicking into this video, I thought you were going to deliver a positive, uplifting message about inclusivity and counter Ed's statements in an at least somewhat intellectual way, but the way you came about it really rubbed me the wrong way. idk if this video is supposed to be a funny video but I'm not laughing. You're doing too much honey. You know, you can disagree with the brand's vision and offer constructive criticism without being pretentious and condescending towards the models and the people behind the scenes that actually worked hard to put the show together. The girls and staff did nothing wrong. I'm surprised you even dissed Barbara's walk- I thought she was charismatic, natural, and beautiful. I'm a gay man myself and I hate it when other gay men feel entitled to trash other people's looks simply because they're gay. That's not how the world works.
So I take it you’ve never watched his videos before 😂. Honey that’s what he does do, give constructive criticism. Is he not allowed an opinion? A lot of these outfits were trash but 🤷♀️😂. There was also a lot he complemented, so what’s your point lol.
Honestly their beauty stands are COMPLETELY. ABSURD. I mean it’s 2018 people, you don’t have to be a thin white tall young woman to be beautiful. Yes, yesss drag them through the mud sis !!

Okay, I love you but Kendall shouldn't be an angel, if you didn't notice, they edited her walk to only her final pose and the reason for that is that she can't walk (there are videos of her walk from the audience's snaps online, her walk's a mess). Also she always looks awkward on editorials and out of all the other models, I think she might have the less "wow factor". Aside from that they need a new design team and new fresh ideas also younger more open minded people on top.

Alright, I read the comments first before watching the videos. I'm very conscious when it comes to derogatory comments and people take you too literally :/ it was still a quite entertaining video!
Winnie Harlow is not really a nice person, she said a lot of really colourist things. She has a real thing against dark skinned black women, plus shes friends with kanye.
and there's nothing high fashion about her, people cast her to be like "ooh look we're so inclusive, someone with a skin disorder!". No remarkable walk, look, anything.
saying a PRIVILEGED as FUCK model whos check has already been cut for this subpar gig for not walking right or that the fits they put them in are terrible will never compare to dehumanizing and insulting a whole group of unrepresented people. also you clearly havnt watched the whole video so thanks for showing your ass.

So, its okay that lot of victoria secret models have gone trough plastic surgeries. But they dont include transgender models, because they werent born female. Honestly, I had enough.
Suhaila Suhaimi your comment isn’t annoying? bella hadid is just one example of a VS model with plastic surgery that changed her entire look this persons comment is about their opinion on the hypocrisy lol the “yall” youre referring to are hypocrites if they don’t also criticize lack of inclusivity in other facets of the fashion industry but like *what does that have to do with this persons comment*? just bc u want to be cynical and downplay yourself for being “ fat” and “eating disgusting food” doesnt mean VS models are actually better than anyone for NOT being fat or eating bad food trans models also work out and diet to have an athletic physique too so like what’s ur point lol ?
Versace, Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs also there was a first Vogue cover with Valentina Sampaio! They do include transgender women. They should include girls all sizes, all ethnicities and so on. There needs to be diversity because We look up to these people.

I think that the be next year or the year after we’ll see plus sized & trans models in the brands desperate attempt to get views. We’ll also see more social media girls walking: erika Costell & alissa violet types.
I know and it will only be pandering. I agree on more representation but not in the name of forced advertisement. Just do it coz you support it not because you want sales. Its false and tacky. Also the music has gotten atrocious they've picked B rated artists to do their performances.

Since almost nothing in the show is sold in stores(which is fine) they should do more designer collabs. Its such a big platform. Why not be like. Look at these amazing models. Look at these VS pieces. Look at these amazing designers we got to work with
Ok, I am not trying to hate or anything, but I am kind of sick of youtubers like this. So you are telling me that you love Bella Hadid, who is like one of the thinnest models there, but those models' bodies aren't real!? Secondly, maybe people do enjoy more thin models than plus-size because most people dream of being either normal or skinny, and also it isn't ok to show people that it fine to be plus-size, because it is not. It is not even healthy. Also these models work for their bodies and train all the time, and then someone whose only job is to eat while criticizing them, just says they aren't real or fantasy. Honestly, I would love to be like them and most people do but don't admit it so that they aren't called out for hating on plus-sizd people. And I really want to know in what pose exactly should the models stay to entertain you. Also VS is all about the spirit and being honest on stage, so if don't want to see models being happy about another person, you can just watch any other fashion show. If VS wants people to enjoy the show, they should have some standarts. Maybe those trans gender people who were on the casting didn't answer the criterias and that is why they weren't chosen, not because of homophobia. And how is it possible to like those awful clothes just because they were a collaboration with a designer, but they were way too bright and colorful. So, as I said before, I am just expressing my opinion, exactly like you do, and I don't think that it is fine to talk bad things about the show or the models after they worked so much. So, no, I am not hating on you. Just saying:)
Do you know the size of a plus size model before you run your mouth? They aren’t unhealthy and they work out wtf we are just saying we don’t need to see super thin models and the fact you want their bodies is exactly the point society has made you want it all your life if we saw more NORMAL sized models it’d be healthy for us to look at and people would still watch your opinions are v backwards I don’t think this comment will change a damn thing but I’m sad to hear you think like this x
@@jessrobertson8188 Well, have u ever thought why does society think like this, as I said plus-sized isn't healthy, normal sized is, and I am not saying we should be super thin, but thosr are really healthy and they look thin, so I prefer being thin and healthy than not being thin and not really healthy, because I agree that genetics has a big part in this, but also if you eat a lot or junk food, so yeah, I think society is right in this case. I won't argue with you, everyone has an opinion.
*Thank you* for eating while watching this!! The whole “skinny Olympics” energy of this fiasco annoyed me to no end (glorifying their starvation diets, etc), so glad this has ceased to exist
I stopped watching this spectacle years back. It was a combination of a few things that put me off watching the show. The fantasy died. Also wearing wings had to be earned! And why is only slim considered as sexy? Also, the perform-on-demand-porno-mannerisms lost its sparkle. I totally support inclusion of plus size/ trans models.
Preston Tandy The bost shows for me were 2003-2005. The backstage was still a mess and I loved it. In 2006, it started to get too controlled and organized. Plus the putfits of 2005 had a real concept, like toys, candy or Russia, even though they were a little silly.
The only performer who seemed to sing live was Shawn Mendes (and maybe the rock band), the other ones where lip-syncing (especially Halsey). No one can sound like a studio recording while swinging their microphone around like Tarzan in the jungle while holding it so far away from their mouthes.
Valeriable I KNOW RIGHT. I was surprised at how nobody noticed. I mean the mic was so far away from their mouthes and we’re supposed to believe they were singing live? Shawn obviously was live since he was out of breath at moments
My biggest issue is the music, like get someone interesting who actually needs the press. Can we get some variety in music? Like you can do better than these basic pop tunes, you can do *gasp* interesting pop tunes. Please give me something more. Shawn Mendes was probably the best performance, but idk. I would love to see some Transgender artists for when they inevitably have to do that to solve the controversy. I nominate Kim Petras and SOPHIE. Although SOPHIE might be a bit too experimental and intelligent for the VS audience.
What's all the drama with transgender people and vs??????? Why are people so desperately trying to SHOVE transgender people in the vs fashion show??!?!?

I mean I get the point of this video I guess, but the way he is acting just really annoys me. I do get that VS should be more diverse, but trash taking the models is wayyy over line and doesn't have anything to do with it. People have that body type naturally, and people get bullied for it. And also diversity isn't about belittling skinny people, because that doesn't help the problem, it only turns it around. Instead of belittling one group to give another more credit worship all body types at the same time! Soooo please show ALL people respect

I’m soooo over this show and their models & honestly I outgrew the entire brand years ago.

Lady Locket I don't think that VS is the old fashioned ideal. I would say the contrary.
i agree w you ---you can literally see it in their sales and ratings lol which have been declining for a while.

"The models come first and the clothes second."
Pretty true because people know VS models by name, high fashion models not so much.
true, but at the same time a fashion show is kind of a fashion show, not a pageant.

It’s their show, they can choose who they want.

We don’t need fat people, they gross
some bigger models have unnatural look too w/ their extremely tiny waist and big hips. it goes both ways. it's just how the fashion and modelling industry works. they would certainly not settle with the "average look"
VS televised show is for men. Point blank. This is for the male fantasy. So i get that he wants to keep the trans out etc because of this. ITS WRONG. but it brings in the coins. @@ak-tn1ed because women as well like to look at beautiful women. And women in general like to wear lingerie to be seen by their sig.other. its like it takes 2 to tango but there is definetly a male lead.

EXACTLY! Its just a pantomime!
@@wolfie9137 man, come on...
Models DO train very hard to walk.... people constantly downplay how much training and work goes into being a model.
Can't take you seriously anymore after you said that Kendal should be an exclusive Victoria secret model ...

being a vs model is a job. just like every other job there is a criteria. if you don’t fit the criteria you don’t get the job. simple as that. however i don’t agree with not including trans women. if a trans women fits everything they are looking forward she should get the job. also over the years the vs clothes have become so tacky.
The point is that the criteria is bad.
Their criteria though is being prejudice against others - transgenders, plus-sized
"I know your body talks but what is it saying" ICONIC. I NEED IT ON A SHIRT.
It's kind of stupid.
Where does he say that, I missed it!
I'm pretty sure the only reason they know the songs is because of rehearsals
same, pretty sure they heard them a 100 times at rehearsals
I find the lack of luscious boobage and asses threatening to burst out of the panties super boring.
@@ysucae my man/girl 👌
@Littlest Pineapple Finally someone said it
So many people here are arguing against inclusivity with "ZOMG oBeSiTy" and "ur jus jelly".
That's not how the world works.
that's the left for you...
So I take it you’ve never watched his videos before 😂. Honey that’s what he does do, give constructive criticism. Is he not allowed an opinion? A lot of these outfits were trash but 🤷♀️😂. There was also a lot he complemented, so what’s your point lol.

It's even more absurd that people are legit defending Ed.
He's dissing her and VS
You don't get the joke because you think that being a vs angel is a good thing. They are commercial and tacky, so Kendall is perfect for them.
Being a VS angel is a good thing, so is being an HF model. Commercial does not equal tacky, what's tacky is Insta models, kardashians... @@Andrea-dm4gd
@@thenewclassic4 Commercial doesn't equal tacky we agree on that, Kendall just fits into the commercial aesthetic better. But Victoria secret has always been tacky, it's basically a male fantasy portraited as women empowerment, if playboy was a fashion brand it would be Victoria secret. It has always look cheap and tacky and they look for models who portrait a hairhead bubbily persona that is fake and bimbo-like. They are just yikes all around.

Since almost nothing in the show is sold in stores(which is fine) they should do more designer collabs. Its such a big platform. Why not be like. Look at these amazing models. Look at these VS pieces. Look at these amazing designers we got to work with
“Kiss up to who? Kris Jenner?” Iconic
I completely agree with you!

Do you know the size of a plus size model before you run your mouth? @@jessrobertson8188 Well, have u ever thought why does society think like this, as I said plus-sized isn't healthy, normal sized is, and I am not saying we should be super thin, but thosr are really healthy and they look thin, so I prefer being thin and healthy than not being thin and not really healthy, because I agree that genetics has a big part in this, but also if you eat a lot or junk food, so yeah, I think society is right in this case. I won't argue with you, everyone has an opinion.

Valeriable I KNOW RIGHT. I was surprised at how nobody noticed. I mean the mic was so far away from their mouthes and we’re supposed to believe they were singing live? Shawn obviously was live since he was out of breath at moments
Shawn Mendes living his best life surrounded by gorgeous women is lowkey brilliant. Son is trying to downplay how much he’s enjoying it.
