Google is using AI or machine learning in their products. I think they get a huge advantage from that. Smart devices are superior to the devices where you have to tune everything automatically. Google should make an USB microphone that tunes the sound automatically. That would be helpful.

Now granted maybe my experience has to do with Dell but I've had WiFi issues, one that caught on fire (albeit midly) and plenty of blue screen of death. I've yet to have a single issue with ChromeOS and if I need a dev machine or apps that aren't available via Android I can install a Linux distro on it. The form factor is has been as awesome and sturdy as MacBook pros too. That's all the reason I need.
I don't understand why Apple doesn't update the MacBook Airs. They could blow this out of the water if they just did a spec bump - it'd be running a real OS, they could probably keep the $1000 price tag, etc. The only thing keeping most people away from MacOS for laptops is the price tag, as their only affordable option is getting pretty old.

DoodleMe DoodleDum everyone has their own preference but I think you are in the minority on that one. Phone just looks outdated with those bezels. Speakers only take up a little bit of room so they couldve made them much smaller like the Pixel 2 XL at least.
Despite the audio jack being useful for a lot of people, it's a major location for water intrusion if the phone finds itself submerged in water. Removing it increases a phones water resistance and a lot of phone manufacturers are attempting to move away from having it, Apple just happen to be first and got flak for it cause their solution was the terrible buds.
You don't make any sense with that logic, all samsung phones still have a headphone jack and have a higher IP68 water resistant rating. Many have done tests and it showed that they can survive under water much better than Iphones without a headphone jack.
