Man, you just can’t go wrong with Helloween. And they have SUCH variety of music too, from power ballads like this and The Tale that wasn’t right to speed metal thrash from Walls of Jericho to early power metal (Keeper albums) to really heavy (Push) to lighter rock and roll ( Why) to funny quirky stuff (Dr. Stein/ Perfect Gentlemen) to sweet melodic lullabies (Windmill) . There’s never a dull moment with this extremely talented band. I say explore Keeper of the seven Keys live from United alive next. It’s an absolute masterpiece.
You're right, it's a reunion. Not only singers (Michael Kiske who left in 1993 and Andi Derris who replaced him) but also their original guitar player (and singer too) Kai Hansen, who left in 1989.
Original singer of the Helloween are Kai Hansen, Michael Kiske is second who replace Kai in 1986. The third and the longest singer in the group are Andi Deris. Already 30 years in the band.
I just came across your Helloween reaction. I like it. Like others in the comments section, I can only recommend the live recordings from Wacken 2018, especially the breathtaking version of How Many Tears. Because I'm already looking forward to more Helloween, I subscribed to your channel (but also because there seems to be interesting things to discover). If you like "Flying-V" style guitars you must check out Powerwolf. Apart from the fact that the guitarists play custom Framus guitars, Powerwolf is an excellent band with good videos and fantastic performances. Recommendation: Demons Are a Girl's best Friend - Live at Wacken Open Air 2019 or Sanctified With Dynamite (Live). Thanks!
Hi bro. Been liatening to Helloween since the 80s. Going through all the changes and reunion. Still my fav band through all that..pls react more. Regards from Malaysia Edited-Pls revisited Helloween's halloween live in Madrid.
My youngest daughter was born in 1985. She turned 38 in August 2023. It doesn't seem possible! This is an amazing song. In this setting, I think it really gets its due, with all of the audience loving it so much, and singing along. Great reaction. Thanks! I look forward to more of Dan's Helloween covers, too. 😀
My 50 year gap in rock/metal had left me totally unaware of Helloween. This was the first song I ever heard by them and I certainly liked what I heard. I will be coming back for more, whenever you react to one of their songs.
Thank you! YES more Helloween!! Already have one ready to go. Should be up soon so keep a weathered eye on the horizon (or just turn on notifications 😁) Thanks for the sub, too! Welcome aboard 🚂 🤘❤️🤘
This is really going down memory lane for me, I used to love Helloween they were always on my get ready to go out music list and as the only place I went to were rock places they were played a lot. Great old band, They are still on my cleaning place list, it's surprising how much you get done with decent music playing🇬🇧
I have a cleaning playlist too! It's usually TOOL's Aenima or my Tom Waits playlist. Already have the next Helloween one lined up, so check back soon! Cheers from NY!
Germany had a lot of great metal bands over the last 40 or so years. When it comes to power metal there are 2 bands to compete for the german power metal crown: Helloween and Blind Guardian! I personally am more on the BG side, but Helloween are still childhood heroes to me and this reunion of all 3 singers ist nothing less than a dream come true!
Long live the power ballad!!! Of course I had heard of them, but never listened to them much. I enjoyed this. Thank you Bill! As always, love to you both❤
OK Bill, I'll try to keep it short. The original singer of Helloween was Kai Hansen, the guitarist with a red V or a yellow single cut. He was the one that hired the second singer, Michael Kiske, the bald one and stayed on guitar. Andi Deris was the third. This scene is very emotional because this is Andi's ballad, like a Tale that wasn't Right is Kiske's, so him bringing Michael to sing it with him shows a great man and a great pro. There's a triple live album from the tour, recorded in Madrid. Best way to re-connect with Helloween. Should be easy to find on RUclips or in physical... Anyway, the tour went so well that Kiske and Kai became members of the band again, recorded an album which had songs from every member of the band and yesterday they announced they were working on another. Sorry if the wall of text is too much information, Bill. See you around.
Oh, my friend, no worries! In my world this was very short! 🤣Go to my reaction to Dimash video comments to see some real novels! I really appreciate the info because, I admit I was getting confused. Thank you, buddy! 🤘❤️🤘
I see you heard Baby Metal and Ningen Iso here's another Japanese metal band that's guarenteed to blow your mind. Inspired by metal bands of the 80's like Iron Maiden. Formed by the bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Miho's idol is Steve Harris and Haruna is a huge Helloween fan they recruited Midori and Miyako(M&M) for a double guitar attack and Miyako also covers any piano they do, having been classically trained from age three. Asami the singer reminds me of the female version of Bruce Dickinson with her operatic style of singing. The band mostly do their own stuff but they do have three covers, Love Bites (and so do I) Halestorm, the song they named their band after. Lzzy Hale invited Asami on stage when they were playing in concert to sing it with her. The second cover they only have an audio version but it's still amazing cover of Judas Priest Painkiller, and the third cover is Helloween Eagle Fly Free done live in studio during covid.here's the link to that Eagle Fly Free (Helloween cover) ruclips.net/video/To21HILZvYE/видео.html Here's a link to a more recent performance they did Knocking at Heavens Gate. This performance has new bassist Fami who in 2022 became new bassist after a year long hiatus of Lovebites due to Miho leaving in 2021 August. Both bassists are extremely incredible This was the first live performance for the band without Miho, and first with Fami on board, and being the first time live since 2021. Asami proclaimed to the audience at the start "We Are Back!!!!!!!" Hammer of wrath /Live heavens gate ruclips.net/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/видео.html
Thank you, my friend! I took your tip and filmed a reaction to Holy War which I thought was a cover of the Megadeth song but, as you know, it is not. Should be up sometime in the coming week so check back. Thank you for all the info too, I really appreciate that. 🤘❤️🤘
anytime love to share the bands with folks who may not have heard them there are dozens of amazing female or female led Japanese bands they all take pride in precision @@BemusingBill
Love helloween and seen them live donington 88 they opened the festival, Megadeth ,guns n roses, Dave Lee Roth, kiss followed them and headlining was iron maiden..the iron maiden performance was still the best one I'd ever seen.. I'd really love to see you react to Esse Quam Videri by Mordred
Wow! Seeing them live! Jealous, brother jealous 😁I'm looking for that video. Seems hard to get a good version (there's a version from Headbangers Ball lol) I hope the one I picked will suffice. Thank you, my brother!
