How to make a naked hero 9 or gopro lite complete tear down and assembly step by step making it stress free! check out Tom Courts sic content / tomcourtkite
Definitely stress free! Using a heat gun and utility knife was much better than using a rotary cutting tool. Easy peazy, lemon squeezy. Thanks for this video!
Thanks a lot, I followed your video step by step and it was much easier that I thought. All worked perfectly and my GoPro Hero 9 which had a broken main screen became a Naked one that will suit perfectly on my Cinelog 25 !
Good idea with the razor knife. Less mess. I used a hand held hack saw. It was faster but a mess. That ribbon cable is also a pain in the ass because it wasn’t a exact fit. The flex was more harm than good but like you a little fingering around and it pops in. I did heat my front screen with a heat gun or blow dryer. It just fell right out. Good video my friend 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks dude! Yeh I'm guilty of being extra tentative just incase, I deff could of got through it quicker. Yeh I didn't want to heat gun it as I had pieces of glass missing from the screen and it had touch response issues so thought I'd better be safe the sorry👍
Nice video will the front gopro screen work with skipping to add the mirror reflected part you took out at the end which you placed at the back of the first screen ?
I have problem with powering on my naked go pro true a balance lead tho. I bought one of those usb-c to balance lead conector and solderd the balance lead part to the power supply cable with the plug. But there the bec board doesn’t get fully powerd. Am i missing something ?
I bought a bec voltage limiter board on its own you have the option for 5v or 9v regulated output and made a power lead with that making it output 9v which the gopros internal bec board could then regulate further and have no problem
hi, while disassembling it i completely destroyed the battery pin holding the battery cable at 6:30, you know if someone sells them? i cant find that piece. i want ot try to weld a new one back in place

Can it still capture audio?
On one of mine I left one of the mics still connected and so it does but all your hearing is prop noise
