As usual a great “How to” just at the right time for me! Had a fiber laser 4days when I joined in watching this video, today I set about getting the driver sorted for EZcad2. 1 win 10 1 win 11 laptops. Both can now run EZcad2! However, and its a point newbs like myself should be advised may happen. Lightburn + the Galvo upgrade installs a driver, EZcad2 needs a driver and if / when installed….it wipes out the lightburn driver! At least it did mine! Aftervthe above, I dug out and old win XP laptop, as yet not got Ezcad 2 driver installed…maybe tomorrow With luck and I cab bet my laptops back for the diode lasers! May I suggest a video explaining the need for multiple lenses and which does what and why :)

Hello, I'm in need of somebody to help me out. Here's the situation. My gf and I have our own galvo laser machines. But she decided to go for Macbook instead of her PC. Now we've install windows parallels on her macbook m2 so she can use windows for the ezcad2 software but we're having a problem installing the drivers for the the machine. Please help.

I had one issue, When I went to install the drivers, my computer would give me a message that windows has the best drivers available installed. when I tried to run the program it gave me the error "failed to load lmc driver"message. I had to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them for it to work.
It may be stuck if lightburn + galvo driver for lightburn was installed, or if another driver that had a newer date was applied but wasn't the right driver for the board and computer, or if the pc was trying to search for and apply the driver by itself. Never let it search/apply for laser drivers automatically.
hi I have a problem. new 50w laser. I installed the drivers for windows. then I open ezdca2 and when I press the light button, ready comes out and the program freezes. if I turn off the laser the program unlocks. plus it doesn't give me the red light figure or even marking. can you help me thanks.

So I thought I followed the directions but obviously I missed something. when I open the file on the desk top it brings up all four files from the download. And none of them do anything. I have tried to start over twice, no luck. What am I missing or doing wrong?
Are you installing them from within device manager, or trying to activate the drivers directly? Join the facebook group or the discord community with the links in the description so we can take a look and see what's going on.

I’m having a hard time finding the ezcad2 I got every thing done all the way to 9 minutes but I can’t find the ezcad 2 shortcut or software to open the application
The whole ezcad program/folder should come on a flash drive usually with the laser, but if not, you can get a copy from our website. Copy the folder to your desktop or where convenient (so its not running off the flash drive). The program exe inside the folder, when right clicked, you can send a shortcut to the desktop and rename for the lens you're using with that copy. You can also copy, and then when right clicking to paste, choose "paste shortcut" wherever you want it to be accessible as another option.
Just got 50W machine from Cloudray, was getting error when installing the supplied drivers (Laser Mark Control Board V4). Code 52 - cannot verify the digital signature. V2 drivers that I found seem to work and install fine. Have you seen this?
@@boknows3915 The only way that I can get it to work is to boot my laptop with Advanced Boot option (Troubleshoot) and then use option to "Disable driver signature enforcement". It is a pain every time I need to reboot my laptop.
Did not work for me. My laser is older, and no driver I try will work. I have "USBLM-V1" and "USB Dongle v1.74" that show up. My software on my old win 7 laptop is 2.5.3, and it works, but i'm trying to use a different pc with windows 10 and I can't get it to recognize with the steps/drivers you provided.
We've used the process for windows 10 and 11 without much issue, but its important to use the right driver since they aren't interchangeable. ezcad 2 drivers are specific to lasers with the ezcad2 control board (there are several and typically only one will work out of the batch for your setup). One thing to note too is it may be a different driver than what worked on your win7 computer, especially if it was 32 bit, and you're now on a 64 bit version of windows 10. Ezcad 3 being a similar case to ezcad 2, it has specific drivers that will only work with ezcad3 boards. If you are getting setup with lightburn, you need to use the lightburn specific driver, since that also uses its own to communicate with the control board. That one is thankfully just 1 driver, and is bundled with the installer for lightburn. If you're still stuck, I encourage you to join one of the communities we link in the description and open a thread, it's the best way to get support and won't get buried in youtube comments :)
I bought a laser machine that comes with Its own software. In the config menu I can see that my laser type is RAYCUS. I am trying to install ezcad2 but the drivers no detect the machine for ezcad2 :(

I was thinking about trying lightburn software or maybe taking the galvo head off and seeing if the main laser is coming out of the fibre cable somehow? I take it the main burning laser is an invisible beam the unit looks brand new there is no marks or wear on any of it I opened the side cover and not a speck of dust anywhere question is what do I do next 🤔
@uallsuk Hi what do you have the same problem where everything will work like it will show the outline with the red laser but it will not burn anything no matter what setting you try iv had the laser driver to bits the only thing I can think of is the actual laser module has gone bad or the fiber optic has burnt somewhere nobody seems to know much about them I wear the safety glasses turn the lights off and you can see the laser module light up I need to work out the problem gutted
Is it possible to use EZCAD (IN NON DEMO STATE) without the LMC controller connected to it. I want to be able to make and save EZCAD programs on a different computer.
Can you update driver from Ezcad 2 til Ezcad 3 ? or do you need some new equipment for you laser to do that ? and what is the newest version of the software and how do you update to that? is there anythign you need to think about with setting or do they roll over ?

It's likely an issue with either the driver, or communication to the control board. Check that the USB cable has a good connection and then validate the correct driver is installed.
20w should be fine. I'd look for a laser with a high frequency range so you can do some of the cool anneal effects like we do with the gold here in the video. The JPT laser sources are great if you can find a 20 or 30w one.
Followed this on Win7 added Win 10 install. I have lightburn and Galvo LB installs its own driver. EzCad 2 is not an install and does not show in DM..pointing the update driver…to the ezcad2 folder..with include subfolders…it reports back the best driver is installer and shows lighturn..the same applies to pointing The update to plug …same result. So, its back to Lightburn I guess. Just like to have LB and ezcad functional!

Man recently just changed to the upgraded board for rotary. And my drivers are connected and fully updated but it still not working with EZcad 2. It only still works with Lite… any idea ? Kinda running out of ideas here
Thanks for your helpful videos. Lightburn stopped connecting to the laser and it’s just keep on framing. I have already replaced the cable. I had Ezcad installed and few months ago installed lightburn and the machine was working juts fine. Any suggestion?
You may need to double check your serial source type in the device settings, and also potentially the IO port assignments. If you're still having trouble, join one of the communities (FB or Discord in the link below) and create a forum post and the team or community can dive in and help troubleshoot.
HELP! I can't find a guide for installing ezcad or JCZ drivers for mac anywhere. I've joined the groups but am really struggling to sift what I need to get a galvo detected on Lightburn.
Have you purchased the LightBurn for Galvo license for your LightBurn installation? There shouldn't be any drivers required for a Mac installation it should just work. Also make sure your laser is on and connected to the computer or it won't show up.
@@LaserEverything It says the Galvo license is working! I've imported the markcfg7 file and I've switched usb cords and adapters as well. Laser is on. Anything I'm missing?

@@LaserEverything It IS a chinese laser.. they provided ezcad lite in the USB so i'm assuming its an ezcad board? Tried every port and direct from usb to usb port..

Hi , if I have already installed driver and everything and later some files get corrupted and I install a fresh one in that case how can I retrieve my parameter library with all my settings ?
Drivers wouldn't affect your parameter library that has more to do with your actual ezcad installation. If you still have your old ezcad folder go into it and into the PARAM folder and copy the files out and paste them into your new Ezcad PARAM folder on your new install.

Brooo I cant fix this... everyday i have to type in my serial number, today its saying dongle not found license is not valid. i tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them i do use an extender with a power cord in the middle. i tried deleting the drivers and reinstalling them and still cant get in. plz help.. ezcad3 and im using windows 11
This can be caused by a lot unfortunately. Are you using a hub AND extender, or just an extender? If both, you may need to bypass one of them to determine if one is causing the issue, or both. You may need to bypass and go straight to the computer to determine if its the extension. I've even seen some oddities if the port on the computer is being switched, if for example you have multiple clusters of USB that may have different controllers in the computer. That said, something to consider if you use a laptop and reconnect each day using a hub/extension/dock or swap ports, lots of things to consider, and unfortunately bypassing one at a time to determine if that issue stops is the best way to start.

They're cheap enough that it's worth trying. Also make sure you're using the 64 bit drivers from our website, LaserEverything.net/downloads and make sure the laser is turned on. Hello, i bought a BJJCZ FBLI B LV4 REV 20200724, original(has stickers and certified) but only EZcad lite version and Ezcad comunnity version can open with it, other say "the dongle thing" i tried to reinstall all drivers i could find, and no one works, and in comunnity Ezcad in about hardware say is LMCU lite!, im becoming crazy since the sticker on the board says is A version, and seller secured me is the rotatory option version, is any chance they sold me cat for rabbit, i mean they tricked me and sold me a Lite board with face of normal board? or im doing something wrong? thanks!
Just received ezcad 2 software as a package when buying SFX JPT50watt laser. This says its a demo copy ? How much is the licensed version please and where can i get it in the UK.
The demo warning means the software can not detect your laser. Is the machine turned on? Connected to the pc? Remove any USB hubs or extenders and try plugging the laser directly into the computer. The machine MUST be on in order to use the software. If you'd like to use the software without the machine head to lasereverything.net and grab the "Community Edition" from our downloads page.
OK turned on the laser and plugged in the usb lead from the laser into the computer. Now says no dongle present. Have they supplied a demo copy ?. Is that the normal way they supply laser machines to the UK.
No, that error means you might not have installed the driver for ezcad to operate and connect with the laser control card, (or laser isn't on/plugged in, which you already narrowed out). Generally means it can't communicate, whether its software or hardware related. If you installed lightburn + lightburns galvo driver, you will need to swap the driver to work with ezcad, the two software's each need their own driver, and only one will operate at a time.
Ezcad will only run within the Windows OS. You could opt for an ezcad2 compatible machine, which could operate using Lightburn on a Mac instead of ezcad. Ezcad 3 unfortunately doesn't have an alternative currently, so if its an ezcad3 laser, it would need to be windows.

Is there a recommended virus protection for ezcad? My Microsoft and also AVG are having issues with my installation and my seller is blaming those for it.
Yes. The ez2 boards are not capable of communicating with ez3 software, nor are ez3 boards capable of communicating with ez2 software. They are functionally different. If you have a need to operate one software or the other , you will need the appropriate control board for the software to communicate and control.

Have you ever ran into a V4 board? We have a 50 watt Raycus laser with a FBLI-B-LV4A board installed and I can not get any drivers to work.

Supplied drivers don't work all the time, it's not uncommon. It's okay to use what works.

It may not have an ezcad control board if it uses some kind of custom software. Could be an off-brand or knock off board.

Man recently just changed to the upgraded board for rotary. And my drivers are connected and fully updated but it still not working with EZcad 2. It only still works with Lite… any idea ? Kinda running out of ideas here

You may need to double check your serial source type in the device settings, and also potentially the IO port assignments. If you're still having trouble, join one of the communities (FB or Discord in the link below) and create a forum post and the team or community can dive in and help troubleshoot.
HELP! I can't find a guide for installing ezcad or JCZ drivers for mac anywhere. I've joined the groups but am really struggling to sift what I need to get a galvo detected on Lightburn.
Have you purchased the LightBurn for Galvo license for your LightBurn installation? There shouldn't be any drivers required for a Mac installation it should just work. Also make sure your laser is on and connected to the computer or it won't show up.
@@LaserEverything It says the Galvo license is working! I've imported the markcfg7 file and I've switched usb cords and adapters as well. Laser is on. Anything I'm missing?
@@davidroan9652 Have you removed any USB extenders or hubs? Tried a different port on your computer? Are you absolutely sure that your board is an Ezcad board and not Seacad or another clone?
@@LaserEverything It IS a chinese laser.. they provided ezcad lite in the USB so i'm assuming its an ezcad board? Tried every port and direct from usb to usb port..

Nope, just make sure you use the 64 but drivers with 64 bit windows and you're good to go.
Hi , if I have already installed driver and everything and later some files get corrupted and I install a fresh one in that case how can I retrieve my parameter library with all my settings ?
Drivers wouldn't affect your parameter library that has more to do with your actual ezcad installation. If you still have your old ezcad folder go into it and into the PARAM folder and copy the files out and paste them into your new Ezcad PARAM folder on your new install.

Brooo I cant fix this... everyday i have to type in my serial number, today its saying dongle not found license is not valid. i tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them i do use an extender with a power cord in the middle. i tried deleting the drivers and reinstalling them and still cant get in. plz help.. ezcad3 and im using windows 11
This can be caused by a lot unfortunately. Are you using a hub AND extender, or just an extender? If both, you may need to bypass one of them to determine if one is causing the issue, or both. You may need to bypass and go straight to the computer to determine if its the extension. I've even seen some oddities if the port on the computer is being switched, if for example you have multiple clusters of USB that may have different controllers in the computer. That said, something to consider if you use a laptop and reconnect each day using a hub/extension/dock or swap ports, lots of things to consider, and unfortunately bypassing one at a time to determine if that issue stops is the best way to start.

You'll need to physically upgrade to an ezcad2 controller I believe. They're available online and they're relatively cheap.

Giving me a “can’t find dongle. Software will use demo mode” not sure whats the fix.
Remove any usb hubs or extenders, then swap out the usb cable. Laser can't talk to the computer for some reason.

@@LaserEverything We removed all usb hubs and extenders, and still had nothing. I let her know the usb cable is probably the way to go.
They're cheap enough that it's worth trying. Also make sure you're using the 64 bit drivers from our website, LaserEverything.net/downloads and make sure the laser is turned on. Don't really recommend Cloudray anymore. Checkout Mactron or SFX instead. Better companies with better service.

Hello, i bought a BJJCZ FBLI B LV4 REV 20200724, original(has stickers and certified) but only EZcad lite version and Ezcad comunnity version can open with it, other say "the dongle thing" i tried to reinstall all drivers i could find, and no one works, and in comunnity Ezcad in about hardware say is LMCU lite!, im becoming crazy since the sticker on the board says is A version, and seller secured me is the rotatory option version, is any chance they sold me cat for rabbit, i mean they tricked me and sold me a Lite board with face of normal board? or im doing something wrong? thanks!
Just received ezcad 2 software as a package when buying SFX JPT50watt laser. This says its a demo copy ? How much is the licensed version please and where can i get it in the UK.
The demo warning means the software can not detect your laser. Is the machine turned on? Connected to the pc? Remove any USB hubs or extenders and try plugging the laser directly into the computer. The machine MUST be on in order to use the software. If you'd like to use the software without the machine head to lasereverything.net and grab the "Community Edition" from our downloads page.
OK turned on the laser and plugged in the usb lead from the laser into the computer. Now says no dongle present. Have they supplied a demo copy ?. Is that the normal way they supply laser machines to the UK.
No, that error means you might not have installed the driver for ezcad to operate and connect with the laser control card, (or laser isn't on/plugged in, which you already narrowed out). Generally means it can't communicate, whether its software or hardware related. If you installed lightburn + lightburns galvo driver, you will need to swap the driver to work with ezcad, the two software's each need their own driver, and only one will operate at a time.

Can I get ezcad on macbook pro?
Ezcad will only run within the Windows OS. You could opt for an ezcad2 compatible machine, which could operate using Lightburn on a Mac instead of ezcad. Ezcad 3 unfortunately doesn't have an alternative currently, so if its an ezcad3 laser, it would need to be windows.
@Laser Everything Do you have any parameters for engraving electrical switchplates? Im trying to get a black or close to black mark on the white plastic of electrical switches.
I've done a few things on ABS but it's been inconsistent. Low power, don't want to burn it as it off gasses nasty chemicals. Experiment safely.
Is there a recommended virus protection for ezcad? My Microsoft and also AVG are having issues with my installation and my seller is blaming those for it.

Yes. The ez2 boards are not capable of communicating with ez3 software, nor are ez3 boards capable of communicating with ez2 software. They are functionally different. If you have a need to operate one software or the other , you will need the appropriate control board for the software to communicate and control.
