On reading Don Black's autobiography, I got to hear about this song. A wonderful collaboration between two outstanding talents. Wilma Reading does it proud. To think it's been around for 46 years and I've only come across it now. Gems, very often, are not easily found; but when they are discovered they bring much joy, however late.
So beautiful, she deserves greater recognition in Australia for her career where she has performed with some of the worlds greats. Great Voice Wilma and what a range.
While I was watching "The Tamarind Seed," I tried to get Google to identify this song and the singer and it couldn't. I'm glad I was able to find it here.
Ah,this song grows on you and haunts you ! Delicate,poignant,langourous,refined and reflective of love, yearning and ache the lead characters in this movie experience ! John Barry's music is timeless and certainly adds to the enduring charm of this much underrated creation of Blake Edwards.
At last, this gem available again for us all to enjoy! John Barry at his best and sung by the fabulous Wilma Reading. So reminiscent of this lovely romantic Thriller of the 1970's. Thanks for the upload!
