Hey steve, it'd be fun to see a review on the soviet-era animated estonian short film "Süür Toll" It's pretty eerie, the soundtrack consists of estonian chanting paired with orchestra music, it's directed by rein raamat(i definitely typed that out wrong) and animated by the late Juri Arrak, Juri's illustrations actually add to the films eerie nature with his surreal and kinda dreamlike artstyle. Hey, even if they learn it from Sonic of all characters, if at least ONE kid learned to recognize the signs of inappropriate grooming then I'd say it counts as a plus.
This is one reason i disagree with the massive censorship of media in recent history. People feel the need to "protect" children from knowledge like this, but if they were to actually be taught about it in an appropriate way, they will be able to recognise when they are in a dangerous situation and escape it. Children are just too naive otherwise.
This episode was never actually banned in the US, such claims were just perpetuated through a game of 90s internet telephone. There was this one video (sadly copystruck) that actively tried to find any official record and couldn't, and theres also evidence that it aired on Kids WB and Cartoon Network.
I remember when the show Dinosaurs had to do an episode about drugs which involved a "Happy Plant" that makes any dinosaur that eats it extremely high, and a bunch of them end up getting addicted(up to and hilariously including Earl's hotheaded boss) and concludes with the son Robbie addressing the audience as the set's being disassembled where he pleads them to stay away from drugs so they won't need to make episodes with these PSAs anymore. It also definitely focused on the comedic angle.
I suggest the old anime "Arupusu Monogatari Watashi no Annetto" that's a japanese anime that has a lot of "feels" moment, it's the story of a broken familly in the early 1900, a kid got injured and becomes disable, the culprit is another kid that tries to keep the secret but he suffers when he sees the other kid won't recover, basically he tries everything to help but it's just going worst, at some point the kid wants to (censored on youtube). There is a potential for a cool episode for many reasons as it could be a real story. Of course no one remember that anime, it's about 40 episodes of 20 minutes. I wish someone talk about that anime as it's getting forgotten, I don't know if an english version exist but it was available in Europe, then they published the DVDs.

I don't know if it's a Mandella effect, but I swear I saw an episode of Captain Planet once that went straight up sadistic when addressing the exotic animal smuggling trade. Like, dead birds falling out of hub caps, a tiger being forced to run a gauntlet while game hunters shot it. And Maatis' monkey wailing in grief at the loss of one of his family. I've been hoping to become a cartoon reviewer one day, and one of my ideas was to review banned/censored episodes and discuss my thoughts on whether or not it deserves to be banned, but until then, you can use some of my ideas: - _"Stark Raving Dad"_ (The Simpsons) - _"Kootie Pie Rocks" (original version)_ (The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3) - _"Man's Best Friend"_ (The Ren and Stimpy Show) - _"Leap Frogs"_ (Rocko's Modern Life) - _"Electric Soldier Porygon"_ (Pokémon: Indigo League) - _"Mid-Life Crustacean"_ (SpongeBob SquarePants) - _"See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey"_ (The Powerpuff Girls) - _"Mister Skinnylegs"_ (Peppa Pig) As for my thoughts on this episode, yeah, I can understand why it was banned. It didn't seem like the writers were really _trying_ to handle the subject with care, but rather just having fun with the very concept as a way to stick it to the censors and moral guardians, which makes for great satire, but is probably not the best for it's target demographic.
There is evidence that this episode wasn't banned in the US, it actually aired a few times on Fox Kids, Nickelodeon & The Hub & was also on Hulu as well.
Here is a banned episode worth covering; Electric Soldier Porygon from Pokémon. This episode caused over 700 viewers, particularly kids, suffering seizures.
i thought the same thing. the episode makes alcohol seem way more fun than it is. i remember hating my first beer as a kid, and the smell and taste was awful. when i was old enough to drink (16 where im from) i only ever did so to get drunk, not because i liked beer. if i saw my favourite characters drinking as a kid however, i definitely wouldve drank more and tricked myself into enjoying the taste. this is a well deserved ban.
I VERY vaguely remember this episode but I remember it being heavily edited to make it seem like a dream sequence, with Plucky being woken up several times during a presentation. I think it was actually on 4kids.
Honestly, stuff for kids still more adult than the real deal! Where else can you find the episodes like the joes identiy data getting stolen and their family used against them? Lot before the movie!
There's a belief that someone at the higher-ups of wb animation loved Elmira so much cause it was reminded of their child or something that the show runners were forced to shoehorn her into everything
It was a bit of both. While I can see why a child would think that drinking seems okay, some people do love to complain and they can sometimes go over board. But then again through-out the episode the characters are explaining that they are showing just how dangerous alcohol can sometimes be. So it’s a mixed bag.
It’s a shame that the episode got banned, but at the same time it does go into the idiotic “d.a.r.e.” mentality and is a newer version of the infamous “reefer madness”. Alcoholism is bad. One bottle of beer is not going to destroy your life. Still, a funny short with a grim ending, and I’m glad that I caught it as a kid.
I clearly remember watching this on a CRT TV with rabbit ear antenna in the early 1990’s. So I know for a fact that it aired at least once. I grew up in the USA, so it’s possible it just didn’t air in the UK.
This came out a year or two after Don Messicks, good friend, daws Butler passed away. I wonder how he would react to this episode if he was still around in 1990
The thing is this episode was never actually banned and was just misinformation spread by the internet. I saw this episode multiple times as a kid, aired up until they stopped showing Tiny Toons. Love you're stuff Steve but you should of done better research on this.

@CrAzYGAMINGWOLF "epsisode" instead of "episode"
@@knezzo1646 Oh I see.
It's still showing up like that for me
Your "complaining mom" voice made my day xD I love your channel so much.
The 90s was a crazy time for cartoons and I’m glad I got to experience it
I swear I saw that episode back then. I LOVED that tiny toons made fun of the cringe moral segments others were using.
I thought it wasn't technically banned tho. Have you even watched Pop Arena's video on the same episode?
I think modern kids cartoons should teach the dangers of drinking
What a great video to watch after a hard busy day a video review of the banned episode of tiny toon adventures
Great video as always Steve your videos always makes me happy
I definitely recommend Code Lyoko next Steve that show was my childhood from the plot the characters and the animation and music the theme never gets old and want to know what your thoughts are on the show
Great review as always Steve and merry Christmas to one of my favourite reviewers 🙂🎄
I love how you show good and bad shows and when there was something done bad l always think of the
"Oh, they didnt"
I've been hoping to become a cartoon reviewer one day, and one of my ideas was to review banned/censored episodes and discuss my thoughts on whether or not it deserves to be banned, but until then, you can use some of my ideas:
- _"Stark Raving Dad"_ (The Simpsons)
- _"Kootie Pie Rocks" (original version)_ (The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3)
- _"Man's Best Friend"_ (The Ren and Stimpy Show)
- _"Leap Frogs"_ (Rocko's Modern Life)
- _"Electric Soldier Porygon"_ (Pokémon: Indigo League)
- _"Mid-Life Crustacean"_ (SpongeBob SquarePants)
- _"See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey"_ (The Powerpuff Girls)
- _"Mister Skinnylegs"_ (Peppa Pig)
As for my thoughts on this episode, yeah, I can understand why it was banned.
I remember the beer episode I swear to god I remember
Here is a banned episode worth covering; Electric Soldier Porygon from Pokémon. This episode caused over 700 viewers, particularly kids, suffering seizures.
The episode definitely aired in the USA when the show was still in progress, in the 90s. I remember this clearly.
i thought the same thing. the episode makes alcohol seem way more fun than it is.
i remember hating my first beer as a kid, and the smell and taste was awful. when i was old enough to drink (16 where im from) i only ever did so to get drunk, not because i liked beer.
if i saw my favourite characters drinking as a kid however, i definitely wouldve drank more and tricked myself into enjoying the taste.
this is a well deserved ban.
babe he uploaded
Took him a month to upload a 8 min video, we’re spoiled ☺️
I VERY vaguely remember this episode but I remember it being heavily edited to make it seem like a dream sequence, with Plucky being woken up several times during a presentation. I think it was actually on 4kids.
Honestly, stuff for kids still more adult than the real deal! Where else can you find the episodes like the joes identiy data getting stolen and their family used against them? Lot before the movie!
Why don't the Tiny Toon characters get more attention its like they were confined to there own show accept Elmira for some reason.
That's right Elmira Duff was added to the last season of Pinky and the Brain
There's a belief that someone at the higher-ups of wb animation loved Elmira so much cause it was reminded of their child or something that the show runners were forced to shoehorn her into everything
It was a bit of both. While I can see why a child would think that drinking seems okay, some people do love to complain and they can sometimes go over board. But then again through-out the episode the characters are explaining that they are showing just how dangerous alcohol can sometimes be. So it’s a mixed bag.
This banned Tiny toons episode was a PSA but I love the message that they tried to approach They could’ve done that more
Sup nerd. This vid got u a sub. It was the Dan Schneider dig at the end, gasser. Keep up the good stuff.
Hope you can reupload the videos of the banned Tom and Jerry episodes and the Dinosaur anime movie.
I remember the episode! I must have been lucky to have caught it the very first, and only time, it aired.
He misspelled the title of the video as well
I clearly remember watching this on a CRT TV with rabbit ear antenna in the early 1990’s.
When he first said one beer I thought I was about to get jumpscared by MF Doom. Rip the goat.
Heh, yeah.
Fox banning this gem of an episode and yet Nickelodeon looking at
Ren & Stimpy
LET ER RIP!!!
You should review banned episodes of South Park they’re fascinating to watch
I remember watching this episode on RUclips as a kid and was so confused why bugs bunny drinking and thought it was a fan made joke video how I didn't know it was tiny toon
I actually remember when this aired... Good Golly, this was a flash of nostalgia.
8:18 love how the only thing that shocked me was that wtf
Buster: How’s does it feel DUY driving while intoxicated?
Plucky: Ah that’s ridiculous idk how to drive.
Every time I start to watch your videos you post a new video
