Howdy fellow adventurers, soooo...this is the 4th time I've had to upload this video due to copywrite issues. It took me a few guesses as to what the offending details were until I realized The Pirate and the Princess did such a good job singing at Karaoke...it tripped the AI bots! Remember, it's always watching now guys and gals :) So how about anyone here NOT subscribed to their wonderful shanty boat lifestyle channel head over there and do so. They just uploaded a new video, so your first comment can be something like "why you making Brenton's job so hard guys?" ;) or just tell them Wavey sent you.

Hi Goldie, Ozello is a special little spot. Only 10 miles or so from highway madness...yet a world away. Ever had blue crab bisque? No one filmed me singing! Lol ;)
@@backwatersandbackroads Never had blue crab anything! Does it actually taste different? I understand them not filming you sing though! Sometimes you just have to listen to the perfection …….. right?🤣
@@AloneinRemoteAlaska Goldie, from what I understand, all the crabs have a different taste to them. There's also Stone crab here. They do something interesting with them in that you can break off the claws and throw them back in and in a matter of...days? They grow back! God's amazing designs ;)
I keep the butane stoves in my camper. Love those cause they dont sit up in the air like that. They self light too. Meal looks awesome. We have a rat terrier who camps with us.
Eastern Shore of Virginia is loaded with end of road towns. My wife and I plus the dogs were there early spring last year. Only down side, ticks. Me the dogs and the wife, it was real bad. Now that was from walking trails. So we just did other stuff. Like exploring the end of road towns which turned into a great time. Food in the area was lots of seafood and it was great.
Well now you did it! Added to my list of places to explore ;)

Another good video. I worried about wavey being tied up next to the water while you were touring. Didn't know if that water had gators in and would hear her barking. The meal looked great. Safe travels!
Hi Tony...I think Wavey would annoy the gators away with her screaming ams baying! ;) caught another catfish last night. That seems to be what's around my little part of the bay. I hope to catch something else. Stay tuned ;)
That looks so fun! Maybe after the motorcycle thing I will try a little boat life but as you know these trips and adventures are starting to get expensive! When I started this life 7 years ago I could live off a few hundred dollars a month but them days are gone,that barely buys my gas now.
So true man. Its only going to get harder and more $$ so I say do it while its available. Needs to be more a lifestyle than a vacation....as I'm sure you know.

The Nomad would be a great boat for CR. It takes some getting use to the depths and channels, but for the most part it's mud and sand. How's the repairs coming?
@@backwatersandbackroads I am just about to get started on the refit on the Nomad. I need to rebuild that nice galley countertop, which self destructed in the humidity. Also, get the bow thruster working, paint the entire hull after fixing some collision damage and add some interior lighting.

RUclips is getting almost impossible to navigate as a small creator. They demonetized this latest video for something I can't even figure out. I uploaded 4 times with wvwet possible reason I could imagine. Nope. Demonetized. Its basically turning onto mainstream TV :(

On my pontoon i was getting so much wash, i had to build a bracket with 2 pieces of aluminum flat bar to get it lower than the factory mount on the toon. But thats not near the engine. I have a Yamaha F150. That close to the motor will have so much wash i dont think it will work imho. You could fashion out of aluminum flat bar a v shape in front of the transducer to be a wedge to push crap out of the way in front of it.
Thanks for the feedback. I follow what you're saying. One problem is I can't get the boat out of the water to build anything like that. I might need to use some kind of pole.

Mostly cheapest cut from sams i can get. 3 days of raw beef is like 13 bucks. Hes 75lbs..
Beagle could eat for a weak on 2 1/2 bls.
Its just os cheap to buy real food for a dog beages size

Hey, Brenton, just spit-wadding here but have you ever done (or thought to do) a US-41 "scooter travel" log, starting at the Miami southern terminus all the way up to the northern terminus past Copper Harbor, up the Keweenaw? That might be a really interesting introspective of our country.
I've done almost all if 45 from mobile to Ontonagon. I think I've finally cured myself of really small scooter long distance adventures after key west. I'd love to do all of 41 on my ST1100. I'll work on it John. O hope you're well up there.

Its mostly an illusion man..living in edits and clips. It had its moments, but that's the grand illusion of media (as Styx sang about so well) ,)

Good question. They protect them pretty well. Seem to be a huge $ draw for tourists. Very friendly animals

I’ve been to that Grand Marais MI town a few times. Usually ride the Lake Superior circle tour every September and we get breakfast there. Is it hard to get into and out of the kayak from the boat. I want to do that with my boat, which has a 3 foot swim platform on the back (maybe that makes that even easier ? ) anyway I need a dinghy solution of some kind
The older I get Nate, the harder it gets to get in and out of a kayak. So far I've never went in the drink (off a kayak anyway) it's harder with a beagle on your knees. My dream dinghy is a Portland Pudgy

You definitely need to go to the Rainbow River state park in Dunellon. It's well worth the $2. I have never seen bass so big. Also, the king spring at CR is full of huge snapper swarms and sometimes 6 foot tarpon schools. I'm tempted to snorkel at night so I can't see the roped off areas.

Brenton it doesn't get any better than that. I've eaten at the backwaters the last time i was there there were some ducks there that we called Russian ducjs because on the top of their head they hD a ring of fearhers that looked like a dur cap
If your thinking about going to Homosassa it's the halls river and it's much more developed and Touristy don't know if it's your kind of place but look on your map at Ingles just noth of you if you go out to yankee town on The Withlachoosee river i think that you'll find it far more to your liking. Coincidentally it's where the movie follow your dream or that dream don't remember but it starred Elvis Presley
Dave, have you ever navigated the salt river from CR to Homosassa?
@@backwatersandbackroads I've tryed but it was very shallow now i must confess i didn't have any charts on that one i bumped ground twice and gave up both times the bump was mud but i do know there are a lot of limestone ledges there also not unlike the halls so no i wasn't confident in my abilities.
One other cautionary word sbout the area in general i know a guy and saw his boat after he hit a rock 10 miles out in the gulf off crystal river very shallow just be careful my friend
