I went to visit Weeki Wachee when I was a little girl and fell in love with mermaids for the rest of my life! Now I am actually in Tampa Bay RIGHT NOW visiting from Canada for the second time this year, this time with my 7 year old son who I am taking to Weeki Wachee for the first time today! Great video. My son has a production company so I do have some insight of video production. I live in Clearwater and travel mostly outside of Florida but when Covid hit I mostly stayed close to home. I finally tried Weeki Watchee ( after 40 yrs here ) loved it. Rainbow too. I am going to try crystal river area . Staying at a bed and breakfast called Blue Lagoon and hopefully try the bobcat you mention in video. I am so excited. Thanks for the great information 😊

I miss the area loads! Rainbow river state parks camp grounds are my home away from home sort of speak. I just wished that reservations did not take 6 months to a year to schedule in advance.

In these springs areas you don't have any gators, so its pretty safe.

My step daughter just said, " He didn't show the crocodiles there ?"
There actually not many crocs. There alligators which I should one during that cat boat tour. Crocs are more aggressive with people whereas Alligators usually will leave people alone.
Yes , we have a river to the south of us with cayman, alligators just over 3ft long, kids swim in the river and people swim freely, they don't seem interested.
