Gosh I know I've commented this multiple times but I just can't get over how unique and good your teaching style is. I've never seen someone teach the scales with the major and relative minor notes only highlighted. I feel most comfortable with keys G and C so far but yesterday we had to change the key of 2 of the songs in our set to C from G originally last minute and idk why I struggled to keep my brain in the Am pent instead of the Em. Maybe I'm still not seeing the fretboard as accurately as I thought? Either way team jellyfish, keep kicking butt as our RUclips teacher!
Awesome and thanks for the kind words. Yeah, you are really learning on the fly. So many people don't get to play with others and you are going to gain so much from that. I will see what else I can come up with to help you. Keep going one day at a time. Guitar is a lifelong journey. Team Jellyfish for the win.
@mrelmoresmusiclab and I know I'm also the guy who keeps suggesting things such as the time stamps and 5 things learned but here is something I don't see much and I don't know if you've done a video on it but maybe like something short on technique tips? I know I need to stop gripping the fretboard so tight and play more relaxed but it seems like my barre chords on acoustic are struggling to fully ring out even though I know you mentioned you really only need the top 4 strings but even then I don't know if its my wrist angle or index pressure. So stuff like would be cool since you've got so much theory on the channel I think a short technique video would coincide greatly as someone and I'm sure many others notice our technique isn't the best especially in high pressure situations such as mine yesterday changing on the fly! 🪼
Sounds like some great ideas and I'm down to try something like that for sure. I will work on something over the next few days. I have this really cool idea for mixing up two songs from different artists and seeing how we can come up with something totally new from the parts of those songs. Should be fun. I just need to framework it right. For example...."What if Janes Addiction and The Beatles had a Baby?" Take one song from each, put all the chords in a hat and pull a few and come up with a new arrangement. haha. Gotta keep trying new things I guess. Keep playing.
Team Jellyfish 🪼 in Georgia. The new graphics look awesome. Thanks for all the work you put into these videos. Picking out triads to play with these scales.
