I'm impressed. I was initially interested, but not enough to buy another carrier north of $200, as I already have several. But this video may have convinced me. Especially as someone that sweats sitting still in 75°F weather 😅

We feel your pain! Just remember that sweating is a good thing as high sweat rates are generally linked to individuals with high metabolic capacity.

I like both the gen 2 and 3. But I still tend to use the gen 2 more.

genuine question: with the carrier being mostly laser cut and the ballistic plate being exposed, would that not lead to the plate being slowly degraded from weather/environmental factors?

Good question. BLUF: no, not at all. Here is an article from our INSIGHTS blog with a detailed answer to your question:

Would a Premiere Body Armor STRATIS Max Level IV plate fit in this plate carrier?

We walked over to their booth here at GOAs GOALS (Gun Owner Advocacy and Leadership Summit) here in our hometown of Knoxville, TN to test this for you, but they did not have a Stratis Max Level IV for us to test fit in our ICEPLATE EXO Gen 3. However, here is a link to our complete DFNDR Armor packages which we’ve curated specifically for ICEPLATE EXO Gen 3:
