He did an awesome job, it was a disturbing scene and the whole theater was on the edge of our seats, so I think he accomplished what he was supposed too lol
There was a pretty good breakdown of this scene where 1. Jesse’s character, although in a uniform does not bare a flag of allegiance thus why Joe doesn’t know how to talk to him in the sense of communication style leaving them not knowing which side they’re fighting for, it any side at all. 2. The glasses he wears, would have him seeing red the entire time both figuratively and literally.
I always thought the most realistic portrayal of a current day Civil War was Euel Arden’s novel, Down Here in the Warmth. Great book. How can you go wrong with Militia on the streets of Manhattan.
I cant wait to see this movie. Very timely given the way many North Americans are pro civil war. Why would anyone want a civil war. I dont think most undersrand what that really means.
Wearing rose colored glasses really tells the story of the character. They have their view of what America is and it’s totally and completely distorted. Super deep.
I don’t know I’d like to play a role like that. Not because I’m a terrible person or anything I just feel like terrible people are interesting to play.
When our country and world needs a positive vision of future goals we can work together to achieve, millions of dollars are instead spent on THIS MIS-USE of the creative imagination!
Idk why ppl didn’t like this movie, it came from the man who gave us both 28 Days and Weeks Later and on top of that he made Ex-Machina, what else were you expecting from him? He kept his end of the deal and made this dystopian and empty and uncomfortable and stressful as much as possible, this entire film gave off 28 Days Later vibes so it’s got my vote 🤷🏽♂️👍🏽
he was a loyalist because he called jessie and lee “real americans” for being from missouri and colorado but joel a “central american” for being from florida and he was about to shoot joel before sammy saved the day

His scene was so stressful watching it the first time
He actually scared the shut out of me and the best part was that he was a human without a creepy mask
Hes really good at playing a bad guy.
Yes! Let's not forget his incredible performance in the episode "USS Calister" in Black Mirror. It was scary as well too!
@@wxyzmarkus6834and in breaking bad
I actually love him when he plays a good guy though. He’s got lots of range but he’s been type cast cuz of Todd
His scene was one of the most memorable in the film.
He played Todd who was horrible
Here he is kind of a mature version of Todd in BB, not necessarily a good thing to be at all. In any case, equally brilliantly acted.
WHAT KIND OF AMERICAN ARE YOU?TRUMP 2024
This started his nickname, “Meth Damon”.
Yeah he def reminded me of Todd Alquist. Same personality, similar appearance
Fr Todd was a fkd person.
most intense scene of the movie, a great last minute change
That should have been Garlands first call. Nobody plays a bad guy like Jesse.
He did an awesome job, it was a disturbing scene and the whole theater was on the edge of our seats, so I think he accomplished what he was supposed too lol
Favorite part of the movie. Also I did not know the two were married.
Me neither. He played.. they all play that scene so well. If this film was is a anti-Civil War campaign then that scene is the cherry.
Same
They played husband and wife in “Fargo” Season 2, and in “The Power Of The Dog”(2021)
@@HighStrangeDrifter They met during the filming of Fargo. That's awesome
He played the role PERFECTLY.
"Nobody wants to play that role"
Err, I think most actors would want to play that role.
like Christopher Lee used to love it.
@@rattelv426 He would love it, but the character would have to be more posh and ask, "What manner of Englishman are you?"

I didn't realize who the actor was .
His performance was absolutely terrifying.
He literally played a psychopath lmao
The most memorable part of the whole movie.
He looks like evil Jim gaffigan
😂💯
HOOOT POCKETS!!
He played a horrible dude in Breaking Bad too.
Jesse was fantastic. He scared the crap out of me. When he started to scratch his left cheek. You knew someone was going to die.
Dude asked one of scariest questions in terms of the movie-What kind of American are you. Scary.

Hong Kong was not the right answer. Idk what Donnie was thinkin there
If a civil war were to break out this scenario will be a lot more common than what we think.
@@Gentleman_And_Scholarhe wasn’t thinking. He just watched his friend get shot and maybe wanted to go down with him.
@@Zephirite.Naw he was just scared AF, and figured he was a deadman walking.
Well you think he's gonna just summarily execute everybody cause he has a history of that type of thing but then you realize the glasses
He played the role perfectly, Jessie Plemons is a PHENOMENAL actor, he just slinks in to every character he plays and plays dark so well! 😬🫢
He did the scariest beard itch in history with the silliest glasses
The ending was magneficent and plot twist lol
Wow never would've guessed these two are married.

Jesse played it brilliantly, he play awkward roles well
I like his performance here. His role playing a villain keeps getting better and better. He nails it.
one thing for certain, im getting those red glasses
he was really effective as a bad guy
Best part of the movie. This guy absolutely rocks psycho rolls.
"Nobody wants to play that role."
*Looks at the popularity of The New Order mod for Hearts of Iron IV*
- "You sure about that, lady?"
He made his whole career playing psychopaths.
Dude one of my favorite movies ever. It was so thrilling and stress inducing. It reminds me of Oppenheimer
They should have given his role more screen time. Like someone who has personal vendetta with the group and starts hunting them to dc
Rose colored glasses......great metaphor
He did an amazing job, this is one of the realities most people in society can't grasp that people like this are still among us
His character was terrifying and intimidating.
Jesse is great in every role he's in.
I always thought the most realistic portrayal of a current day Civil War was Euel Arden’s novel, Down Here in the Warmth. Great book. How can you go wrong with Militia on the streets of Manhattan.
This part of the movie is what hit me the most. He definitely stole the show!
Easily my favorite scene in the movie. I was genuinely worried about the characters during this scene he played a loose cannon so we'll
So this is literally like that meme where they say the actor wasn’t supposed to be in the film he just showed up on set one day
Jesse did a fantastic job.
Didn't know they are a couple. Now he is famous. I'll remember that face for a long time.
He was amazing for not having prepared for the role!!!!!!!!!!
People definitely want a role like that.
Especially Hollywood sociopaths
Loved his part.
He did a great job because it was disturbing. That's called great acting.
He nailed the role to a T
Jesse is one of the best actors working easily
That was the most chilling part of a very unnerving film.
I think he also got "Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Nods."
He was absolutely brilliant in that role.
No one wants to play that role, she said. Yeah right it's the best scene in the whole movie.
one of the most important scenes in the movie
He plays those roles though and does well at them ! Todd breaking bad !!
Man was the best part about the movie
One of the best scenes, he nailed it
He was excellent! That scene made the movie for me.
Well.. He is an established actor.
Jesse killed it
Excellent role play.
Just ordered my glasses from this scene.😊
Right deccission from Kristen, Alex must give high appreciatte for her insiative 👍🏻👍🏻
He definitely stole that entire scene!
I'm pretty sure he liked those roles lol. Id imagine it's fun to play the bad guy. And he's looking a lot better from el Camino.
He played it perfectly!
His character stole almost the whole story of the film
Hate the character. But probably one of the best short performances in the movie.
If your answer is liberal that's the wrong answer 😂😂😂
I play that everyday
One of the few high points in an otherwise unremarkable movie.
Small role....huge performance.
maybe best scene in the movie. the acting was awesome.
I thought he was matt damon😂
I know a lot of guys who would want that role haha
Was one of like two cool scenes in the movie
I think Jesse killed it.
Finger on the trigger and chicken winging his elbow. Yeah, terrifying.
I think it's intentional. The character is LARPing as a soldier and is not actually trained.
His act was unpredictable
He played it well, I hated that character and that's the point
I cant wait to see this movie. Very timely given the way many North Americans are pro civil war. Why would anyone want a civil war. I dont think most undersrand what that really means.

I think jesse wanted to play that role
Leave Landry alone now
He is my favorite dude in the movie wish he had a longer more prominent roll!
