I’m honestly done with any Star Wars content after 2012. The combination of Disney, Mark Hamill turning into a political Sith, and these shill RUclipsrs like Star Wars Explained, Kyle Katarn, and the rest of them has just taken my care and enjoyment for this franchise away. I’ve got LOTR/Tolkien, One Piece, and the new Batman franchise is going to be a masterpiece imo. To be fair about the book cover. There’s been plenty of Star Wars books with terrible covers. Some of them are actually great books too. And there’s plenty of great books in general with that awful live action photo looking cover art. Idk why they make those covers but it’s not uncommon. I’m honestly done with any Star Wars content after 2012. The combination of Disney, Mark Hamill turning into a political Sith, and these shill RUclipsrs like Star Wars Explained, Kyle Katarn, and the rest of them has just taken my care and enjoyment for this franchise away. I’ve got LOTR/Tolkien, One Piece, and the new Batman franchise is going to be a masterpiece imo. If The Penguin is like The Batman, I have tons of excitement and hope for the future of Batman, the only superhero that I’ve ever cared for tbh.

Yeah I got more into anime during covid, and was shocked to see how many great stories there are. Really shined a light on how terrible Hollywood and Disney are managing their ip’s. At least at least we’ll always have the old stuff.

I can’t imagine having the Star Wars Explained mindset of trying to eliminate the competition. When I see larger channels in the same space, I think it’d be cool to do a collab or something. I actually got to meet Molly and Alex at DragonCon 2023 after they competed in a Star Wars trivia. I was attending but I was supporting the setup and had friends competing and it was actually cool to see how much knowledge they had. I went to talk to them after we cleared the room so the could get to the next panel could set up and I raved to them about how much I enjoyed their content and how cool it was that this was their job producing Star Wars content. But they just blew me off like WTF.

To be fair about the book cover. There’s been plenty of Star Wars books with terrible covers. Some of them are actually great books too. And there’s plenty of great books in general with that awful live action photo looking cover art. Idk why they make those covers but it’s not uncommon. That being said, that book is dead on arrival, and I feel so bad for that author.

These channels are playing influencers to attack a large number of full fledge Star Wars fans for their own greedy gain, and by falsely accusing Star Wars content creators and many fans for expressing their freedom of speech, and the lack of Entertainment that Lucasfilm are doing with the franchise.
We must make haste to put a stop to their channels and content before they cause more damage to the whole fanbase. Let us band together to put to stop on those channels.
