    Awesome can't wait to see this with those running and driven plus a good exhaust on the back . Headers would be really good to own for my eurosport 3.1 lol wake it up a bit

      We are going to get it back to the track once they are on to see what kind of a difference they make on a stock 3.1! Should be able to get a rough idea of hp from 1/4mile trap speed

    Headers are gonna be a huge help! Gained a bunch of power when I put them on my 3.1 before switching to turbo.

      Hope so! We should be able to find out what the gains are worth since we are just doing the headers for now. Iirc it went 16.8 before the headers lol

      GPheaders make any header, but you pay a big chunk, so I have no choice but to throw that money out the window to get one made🤭

    I have a 87 z24 when i was in high school. It had 500k on the clock when i got it. It was a 4 cylinder 2.8l. 2 of the cylinders were dead. I had slid in to a curb and the front wheel got hit back in to fender so i sawalled the fender to keep it going. That thing was a tank. I use to off road it too. Definitely a fun car. I think it had over 750k when it died. Best 500 bucks i ever spent. 😊

    Found out the best ignition system for these motors if you wanna try a feel!? Get the 3800 ZZP coils, Taylor 8.2 universal ignition wires, and Champion Iridium spark plugs gapped to 0.065 and MAN!! Let me tell ya when I shifted my 2.8 from 1st to 2nd, I thought I broke a motor mount for a second🫢, and I revved that MF to 5600-5700 Rpms with almost no valve float problems!!! I just made a beautiful ignition system for a 2.8mpfi that no one else has done! If you can do a test video from oem to this setup, that be awesome!😉

    Been watching your post and I really enjoy them. I have a 1992 3.1 out for a refresh. Would you have a recommended performance upgrade strategy to share? I would like to get 190hp.

      The heads need ported for sure. I would use 3100 pistons to get your compression up to 9.5-9.6:1 a decent cam (similar to the old crane 260H ) larger throttle body, custom computer tune/calibration and headers/2.5 exhaust. We are going to build this car similar. Might not get you 190hp but should be close!
      Most swap to a 3400 because its cheaper and gets you started at 175-180hp

    Looks like decent fitment into a j body. Curious question: what vehicle were these headers originally meant for? They look kinda like m body/grand am style. 👍

      They were a small production run built for the J and L body, by wot-tech iirc around 10 years ago. But it looks like they never test fit them on an automatic.

    What is going on?? Where is part 2? Hope there is no serious complications to this! Dual cut out the sum B1T€H and get a serious exhaust system to go with it! I need a set as well as I watched and purchased all the upgraded goodies for my 2.8 thanks to you👌 just hesitate to get the 3400 manifolds

      I bought them used. I believe they were made by wot-tech about 8-10 years ago.

    Are those headers stock and whst vehicle dud those come off

      They are aftermarket made for V6 Cavaliers/Sunbirds. I believe they where made by wot-tech and another company, but have been discontinued many years ago.
