I never had a ps4 but i'm sure you are right. I played on def jam icon some time after gta iv was released, back then i had fun times with the game but it wasn't my every day game also.
This game animates movements and styles surprisingly well....which is sad that a smaller developer can accomplish this but large AAA fighting games like Mortal Kombat still look stiff and robotic in some aspects. Don't get me wrong tho...MK has been improving with each release but something like this should have been pinned down a LONG time ago. Fighting game animation is crucial to delivering an immersive experience as its part of the presentation. Netherrealm's art director/animation director should be taking notes
This franchise/concept needs some AAA love. Shaolin v Wutang is that dream game I've imagined for years. If it had more polish it could complete with the likes of Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Tekken. I especially appreciate how every character has dynamic blocking animations with and without weapons. My only gripe with this is you have a wrestling fighting style with no command grabs. A wrestlers that doesn't wrestle makes no sense.

Also,add a replay mode where we can watch in differnt angles.1 last thing to add is a sparring or "ballet" mode where as they clash,there would be a series of coreographed moves like on god of war or some resident evil games where if you didnt tap the corresponding direction at the proper time it would result in a hit.(if both fighters dont miss,then your treated to a ballet of flawless coreography) 3 consecutive hits would earn a delayed knockdown to were the victor displays his special style pose presentation.much like in the films.
I wish a big Studio would take whatever this one guy did and just turn it up to 11 as far as polish goes and release it. It might be the best fighting game ever made

If you like these types of movies, you HAVE TO give this game a try. It's not perfect but it's a Indie title and it's definitely made with love for the genre.
Was that new school Tony Jaa v. ol school Jim Kelly? Plus I caught JCVD battling it out against another ol school martial artist Sonny Chiba and as a back up weapon VanDamme wielded a pair of eskrima/kali sticks. The only movie I ever saw VanDamme use kali sticks in was that TimeCop flick. Mann! they even got Sho Kosugi from the signature Ninja films in full effect. I’m loving this game from the jump! Especially when I saw Bruce Lee (jkd) against Jackie Chan drunken style and Donnie Yen as Ip man, wing chun vs. shorinji kenpo girl which looked a lot like that hapkido chick Nora Miao was the glaze icing on the cake with cherries on top! This game is classic! they need to come out with a remastered version on the latest next gen consoles cause this would sell like hotcakes. this is fuckin AWESOMENESS!!

This game ticks all the boxes for me. I'm a huge fan of Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest so I recognize probably 75% of these character models. As an aside, you haven't lived until you've seen The Crippled Masters, redubbed into Spanish in a crappy theater that smells vaguely of popcorn, cheap weed and spilled beer. Walking to your seat silently hoping that the sticky crap on the floor is only soda.👍

Cool game, as a fan of beat'em up's I must say this is quite original and with all the well known characters, just awesome. I wish they made Bolo a bit better and there could be also bosses in the end too (Tong Po for example or someone from The Quest movie, the Turkey guy). This could be a big hit if it would get proper funding like MK.

The character choices and designs are amazing. The sound design is incredibly terrible. Animations are a bit rushed and choppy. Would love to see this remastered.

If they could add a create a fighter feature or at least add some DLC, that would be awesome. You could have Steven Seagal for Aikido, Dan Inosanto for Eskrima, Benny 'The Jet' Urquidez and Don 'The Dragon' Wilson for Kickboxing, Cynthia Rothrock for Karate. Just to name a few

Expand the background/environment, put some awesome wu-tang "esk" music behind this, and make the characters a bit smaller, and this game would be AMAZiNG!!!!!!

The character choices and designs are amazing. The sound design is incredibly terrible. Animations are a bit rushed and choppy. Would love to see this remastered.
