That is because he is singing too much in his throat. He has too much "scuro" and not enough "chiaro". You can hear too when he goes to a top note, (and even some of the lower ones) that he wobbles alot. It also isn't one nice clean sound from top to bottom, his top register sound different to his lower. It''s a shame because he has a beautiful voice and he could be really fantastic if he just found a bit more "ping" and squillo.

@@Yves_Ka Yes it's much more open and relaxed, which naturally will produce a good amount of squillo anyway. I prefer him then, even though it's still not quite balanced. The more current one sounds as if he has tried brightening his voice, but has just added constriction in the throat.
