I graduated college last month, and the day I took my last final exam, I just took a walk around campus listening to this, taking it all in. It was very bittersweet - I had finally done it, the one thing my family had asked of me for my entire life, but it also meant the end of what has been one of the life-changing (positively and negatively) chapters of my life. I had a lot of reflecting to do. It was a very cathartic and emotionally charged experience.

When I saw the gallery section of the game, I really felt nostalgic. Remembering the time when Tekken was very popular in amusement centers back in the 90's the time when there was no internet and online gaming, just pure enjoyment with your friends playing together, now you will no longer see it.
Back in 1999 me and my friends would go to a cheap mall just near our house. We play Golden Eye in N64 and there's a lot of kids and young teens spending time playing in Play Station booths and arcade consoles. Tekken was among the popular games back then. Gaming before the 2000 is good talk back when gaming magazines were no non-sense and full of good news in games, but now games don't even last 6 months.
Vivienne Koo Ya I remember my first time playing tekken. on a Sega City stage with motion controls. Characters punched crouched etc based on your movement. was so cool in the 90s
We'll miss you Tekken 7. Thanks for bringing so many new people to this series we love so much. Thanks for the good times. The hype moments. The crazy roster. The death combos. The tournament runs. The amazing stories. For Heihachi. There's so much more to say, but I'll just say: Thank you Tekken 7
T7 will be my first Tekken game after a long break from the series and this ost is so fitting for the ending of the mishima storyline, yet it also sounds like a new beginning for the tekken series in general :') makes me so happy but also sad to come back after such a long time
I set this as the background music for tekken 8 when Heihachi released so his face is on the menu while playing this song. I get to relive my tekken 7 days 😭😭
This main menu has the slower melody and no lyrics! Calm before the storm kind of feel...perfectly suited for Kazuya's and Heihachi's final duel!! Motion you rock bro!
@Jeff Glasgin BG2. Osu? xD, some tony hawks. nfsu1/2, some mmorpgs. One step from eden. there is probably more but there is no way i would remember all of them lel. but yea it makes turning on the game a lot easier
This shit is fucking beautiful, and yes I had to cuss. I've owned every Tekken game since the first one back when I was in 5th grade, I'm a 32 year old man now and this track has me feeling some kind of way....Somewhat nostalgic, regretful, and excited at the same time.
I know Heihachi or Kazuya is going to die in this one, at this point I'm not really sure who is the true bad guy. Heihachi is by no means a good person, but as more of the story is revealed he seems to be turning into more of a protagonist then Kazuya ever was. The promotional art where one half is Heihachi's face and the other half Kazuya's kinda hints at who is going to win. Heihachi's face looks weathered, tired, and regretful, and Kazuya's looks powerful, ominous, and twisted by hatred.
Andreas 444 Jin is the worst he's as bad as Kazuya and Heihachi, he's just pouty and angry at people just like those two... Im expecting more then one person to die in this game. One of them being Jin... Jin wasn't even playable with the first release of Tekken 7 makes me believe Harada and the team are kind of sick of him. My guess is they'll move entirely away from the Mishima Zaibatsu and either not include them at all or in drastically reduced. Either way after 7 Tekken will never be the same again that's for sure
Getting into Tekken lore, and ya know what I just realized. Heihachi was an asshole to the highest degree, but he stemmed out so differently compared to other fighting game baddies. Where Kazuya represents a great evil fighter, Heihachi never brought that vibe in a casual point of view. He had personality. Other games or some of his endings were hilarious. He had a charming laugh and was not afraid to throw down to a challenge. Watching the Akuma fight was really great, and this man was able beat the living hell out of Kazuya, despite him taking his Devil powers to the max. That final fight is something worth seeing, and a fitting end to everything that happened. Now learning about what happened to his VA too also feel it's brought to a sad full circle. Rest easy Unsho. You've been a great one of a kind voice, for a TRUE king of the iron fist.
More like he was always the villain. It's just that nobody knew his good intents until his final breath. It doesn't help that he always had a barrier around his heart and didn't share how he felt or shed a single tear until his final fatal battle. Quite the tragedy.
this wallpaper of Heihachi is perfect its like he reflecting back on everything he ever did and in a sad way looks tired and ruined and knows he has to fight he has no choice because he knows he lost everything.....including Kazuya Kazumi and many people suffered because of his ways of putting a end to everything.(I know there will be one last chapter to the game jin has to finish it.)
Tekken 7 was my first ever Tekken game. I know I'm not a true god of Tekken this way but I remember turning the game on and hearing this for the first time saying, "wow thats a scary looking old man". This theme always brings back that memory. Slowly I played the story mode and when I played the beginning chapter I noticed that the kid (Kazuya) had the same name as Kazuya in the character select. That's when I started getting deeper into the story of this game. 5 years later I know everything about the lore and story. Still I come to listen to this to get a flash back of my early Tekken 7 days.
Back to '98, when I was 4 years old, my dad just bought me Playstation X and Tekken 3 was my first game that I ever played. We've been playing together almost every single day, Eddy and King are his favorite pick, and mine is Hwoarang. Somehow this theme really bring my memories back. Now, I'm 24.
There is a solitude in this music, nostalgia bringing back childhood memories of Tekken 2, the complexity of Tekken 3, the 4,5&6 I kind of forgot, and the 7 that is just way out of this world ! Best game in this world.
I remember listening this years ago but never find where it was from. Recently i started to play Tekken 7 myself and just found this. I wish this was the current Main Menu theme still. It's magical, enchanting really. It's soothing my soul.
Throughout the 28 years of my life. This is the one song that has made me remind myself that no matter the hardships and downfalls you go through. You're never in the solitude of failure. Listening to this after these years made me more motivated to keep pursuing my graphic design career and want to better myself overall. I'm about to test for a Major IT exam, and this song will definitely be what I need. For everyone going through soemthing... you got this and you are doing your best. Never guve up
Season 1's theme was the welcoming and soothing sounds of a journey that was gonna conclude in something in terms of the story. Season 2's theme drove home the fact that there was gonna be a switch-up in the competition and the roster. Season 3's theme ramped up the aggressive nature, now that frame data and counter/punish practice is a thing, so you can really practice your gameplan properly. Season 4's theme exists.
Busy life, just today I finished Tekken 7 story mode, having downloaded it only yesterday, I have been playing Tekken 6 till now for several reasons, and I kinda cried when he stood up for the last time to fight Kazuya... And my heart broken when he lost... Amazing story...
Tekken 1-7 are childhood memories, I will forever keep the collection, and I hope Namco continues 2 make awesome Tekken games. I've been a loyal Tekken fan since the 1st Tekken and I will forever be a loyal fan, I love Tekken, so GET READY FOR THE NEXT BATTLE KAZUYA!
I think alittle of Heihachi's thoughts went kinda like this when he approached kazuya for the final time heihachi: this is fine, everything will be settled here. when this ends win or loose my son, I will never see you again. this is something only I can do.
This theme has gotten me through so many hard times over the years I deeply love this song. So many good memories of staying up with my old roommate grinding this game trying to get better at it. Then when I had friends from the marines pass away it hit even harder remembering all the times we played online together. I can't stop the tears thank you for this loop.
Tekken 3 Was my first Tekken on my ps2 in 2004 Loved it ever since this menu still gives me chills R.I.P Unsho one of the many talented voice actors during this time of voicing heihachi during this tekken game and ofc goodbye to heihachi himself it's been an honor
I feel like this theme has such an emotional vibe to where it says if I could quote Batman.... "You were here from the beginning.... Now.... You get to see how it ends" 😢😢😢 R.I.P Heihachi Mishima
Heihachi isn't dead. Coz he is connected to Ogre's bloods so after he fell into the lava i think he went on a devil form. Also the time when kazuya fell on a volcano explosion he didn't die so that is a tip that Heihachi is not dead. He died on the same place where kazuya died after their last battle.
T7 needs to add a feature to where you can change the seasonal music for it’s last season. Or add this song back. It would be a great conclusion to a great game
I remember Tekken 3 being my first Tekken and not turning my PS2 off because for some reason the PS1 game didn't wanna save to my PS2. Then I jumped to Tekken DS, Tekken 6, then TTT2, I fucking love Tekken. Finally I made my jump to Tekken 7 and listened to this beauty. Tears in my eyes man. Went ahead and hit Arcade, chose Devil Jin, and had a fucking blast. LONG LIVE THE KING OF IRON FIST TOURNAMENTS
Tekken has been with me for awhile. When I first got my PS2 which was my first ever console, I had gotten Tekken 4 along with it and I loved it to pieces. While I may not be considered a true fan like these guys in the comments, as I've only played Tekken 4 and Tekken Revolution. I still love Tekken enough to know all about the lore and storyline. So believe this when I say, I WILL be getting Tekken 7 one way or another.
WHY DID THEY CHANGE THIS!! I'll never forget when I first booted up and this played with Heihachi in the background I couldn't wait to hop in to story mode to see what was about to go down(I was able to avoid spoilers). When I finally finished and went back to the menu it all made sense.
I actually dropped some tears?! Wtf! This is just a game....... I think. I just don't get what kind of message this is trying to send me. Am I missing something important? Most powerful Theme I've ever seen!
I dropped some tears too. It gives a melancholic, almost triumphant in a way, while also giving a "pyrrhic victory" sound to it. After you finish the story mode, this will make you cry even harder.
This goes to the man himself - the lunatic, the power-hungry tyrant, the devious strategist, the man of power, the man of unbreakable will, of uncompromised strenght... the man of the hour, the one who started it all... *eyes watering* ...the brute... the provocateur... the meanest, manliest... son of bitch I ever known in my life... The True. The Absolute. The King of Iron Fist. I miss him already...
Ive been a fan of tekken for my entire life, I first played tekken 3 with my dad on the ps2 when I was 4 years old. Crazy how time flies by. Tekken is, has and forever will be my favorite video game franchise.
Heihachi Mishima is dead? Wait for Tekken 8 first. Heihachi never die (look the final scene in Tekken 1, when Kazuya threw him down the cliff; or in Tekken 4, with Jack's attack)
I played all the tekken games from 1 to 7,when I was 14 till I was 37 years old right now, when i went to the gallery watching the cutscenes one by one while listening to solitude,it drove me to tears,I have no regrets playing tekken games it makes moving forward in my life. 😢😭👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼
As Tekken 8 is coming close to being released, this music continues to hit harder as time goes by as this is truly will be a final farewell to Heihachi forever

T7 will be my first Tekken game after a long break from the series and this ost is so fitting for the ending of the mishima storyline, yet it also sounds like a new beginning for the tekken series in general :') makes me so happy but also sad to come back after such a long time
VShine This theme is also sorta like a, welcome back.
true :)
VShine will be my first tekken as well :D
Same ^^
What was the last tekken game u played?
I set this as the background music for tekken 8 when Heihachi released so his face is on the menu while playing this song. I get to relive my tekken 7 days 😭😭
This main menu has the slower melody and no lyrics! Calm before the storm kind of feel...perfectly suited for Kazuya's and Heihachi's final duel!! Motion you rock bro!
Ryoku X there's a version with lyrics if you didn't know. that one was pretty somber imo but yeah I agree. Brings the mood for an epic climax
Jonathan Thai I heard the one with lyrics, quite intrigued by that version
Ryoku X I must hear the version of the song with lyrics 😍😍😍
mirajlove It's in the credits if you haven't looked already.
Kind Trash QwQ what is it plz
Why does this game has such an awesome main menu theme ? Usually they just put the "round soundtrack that nobody notice".
@Jeff Glasgin Minecraft and Battlefield 2
Older games don't even have soundtrack at all. Hella good change, tho.
Crysis 3
Kingdom Hearts my friend
@Jeff Glasgin BG2. Osu? xD, some tony hawks. nfsu1/2, some mmorpgs. One step from eden. there is probably more but there is no way i would remember all of them lel. but yea it makes turning on the game a lot easier
This shit is fucking beautiful, and yes I had to cuss. I've owned every Tekken game since the first one back when I was in 5th grade, I'm a 32 year old man now and this track has me feeling some kind of way....Somewhat nostalgic, regretful, and excited at the same time.
Lamesauce85 😭
Lamesauce85 Probably because this is the last Tekken game in wich Heihachi&Kazuya takes the spotlight.I think T8 will have more Jin.
Lamesauce85 Agreed
You've been a great one of a kind voice, for a TRUE king of the iron fist.
heichachi was a strict father and corp leader all of his reasons make sense even his own grandson betrayed him
So is he like the Vegeta of Tekken, starts off as a villain but becomes a friend type character?
More like he was always the villain. It's just that nobody knew his good intents until his final breath.
It doesn't help that he always had a barrier around his heart and didn't share how he felt or shed a single tear until his final fatal battle. Quite the tragedy.
Rest In Peace, Heihachi.
this wallpaper of Heihachi is perfect its like he reflecting back on everything he ever did and in a sad way looks tired and ruined and knows he has to fight he has no choice because he knows he lost everything.....including Kazuya Kazumi and many people suffered because of his ways of putting a end to everything.(I know there will be one last chapter to the game jin has to finish it.)
Probably in 2020 though.
@@nightcrawler763 boy are you far off still
Tekken 7 was my first ever Tekken game.
Damn this deserves billion💀🔥
Back to '98, when I was 4 years old, my dad just bought me Playstation X and Tekken 3 was my first game that I ever played. We've been playing together almost every single day, Eddy and King are his favorite pick, and mine is Hwoarang.
Somehow this theme really bring my memories back.
Now, I'm 24.
❤
i could listen to this whole day, thanks yellow motion
it's been 4 years you still listenin to it right?
There is a solitude in this music, nostalgia bringing back childhood memories of Tekken 2, the complexity of Tekken 3, the 4,5&6 I kind of forgot, and the 7 that is just way out of this world ! Best game in this world.
I just ended the story and the arcade mode and I cant stop listening to this,Great job Namco.
This brings tears to my eyes, Man it's been a long time. Dunno why 🥲
When i play the game for the first time i say: "wtf this is not Tekken music"
Then i finished story mode and now i love it, nostalgia
Rip Season 2 newcomers
They will never experience this song
Proud to be a S1 Player
You can change it back
@@thedarkside826 how?
Pablo Luigi On PS4, I’m pretty sure you can choose the audio that plays in the menus.
I miss S1
Never has a fighting game menu screen gave me so much feels.
I agree, this song gives the game a really good atmosphere
Never guve up
Thank you bro hope ur doing well. 🥹
Beautiful. So beautiful... I... I want to cry.
DVJK7 Tekkenfan Already there. XD
Busy life, just today I finished Tekken 7 story mode, having downloaded it only yesterday, I have been playing Tekken 6 till now for several reasons, and I kinda cried when he stood up for the last time to fight Kazuya... And my heart broken when he lost... Amazing story...
Really need a Tekken 7 mod that just brings back the original menu and music.
If you have the ps version you can bring this song back to the menu
In the console version you can choose which soundtrack from which game you want it to have besides it's own
@@imanoljesusdelpozo4907 only on the ps version tho
@@zaylinlynn8522 Oh, I didn't know
man...I actually cried at the end of this game bruh...😢#Tekken4Life
Tekken 1-7 are childhood memories, I will forever keep the collection, and I hope Namco continues 2 make awesome Tekken games. I've been a loyal Tekken fan since the 1st Tekken and I will forever be a loyal fan, I love Tekken, so GET READY FOR THE NEXT BATTLE KAZUYA!
thanks so much yellow for uploading this beautiful masterpiece
It's hard to hold back the tears! 😭 Tekken sure has come a long way... 😭😭😭😭😭😄😄👌💕💕
Why did you put so many emojis
@@stipdip7785 women
I think alittle of Heihachi's thoughts went kinda like this when he approached kazuya for the final time
heihachi: this is fine, everything will be settled here. when this ends win or loose my son, I will never see you again. this is something only I can do.
i wanna cry for heihachi but then kazuya had a good reason...but heihachi and kazumi tho...the feels and conflict are reall....
Kazuya didn't really know what happened to kazumi so he blamed heihachi
Migixkem Jord
Wasn't it said that Kazuya saw him do it?
i remember staring at the main menu mindlessly then tears started flowing for no reason. good times
I came back here cause the GOAT has returned.
Same bro man refuses to die😂
This theme has gotten me through so many hard times over the years I deeply love this song. So many good memories of staying up with my old roommate grinding this game trying to get better at it. Then when I had friends from the marines pass away it hit even harder remembering all the times we played online together. I can't stop the tears thank you for this loop.
Im sorry for your loss.
marines got wrecked lmfao
@@rashid8646 you laughing that my friends died what a joke you are.
@@rashid8646 When u die I'll write lmfao about it everywhere
P.S. Greetings from Sibera.
Tekken 3 Was my first Tekken on my ps2 in 2004 Loved it ever since this menu still gives me chills R.I.P Unsho one of the many talented voice actors during this time of voicing heihachi during this tekken game and ofc goodbye to heihachi himself it's been an honor
I feel like this theme has such an emotional vibe to where it says
if I could quote Batman....
"You were here from the beginning.... Now.... You get to see how it ends" 😢😢😢
R.I.P Heihachi Mishima
So damn true
Wasn't that lex luthor?
Heihachi isn't dead. Coz he is connected to Ogre's bloods so after he fell into the lava i think he went on a devil form. Also the time when kazuya fell on a volcano explosion he didn't die so that is a tip that Heihachi is not dead. He died on the same place where kazuya died after their last battle.
Feels so sad to see only 1M views of this Masterpiece, The world seems dead to me ☠️
T7 needs to add a feature to where you can change the seasonal music for it’s last season.
Or add this song back. It would be a great conclusion to a great game
@@TheAuraRealmYes Exactly,
@@TheAuraRealm You can actually do that. Just choose a custom playlist and pick 'Solitude' as your main menu theme. That's what i've done 👍
m2k yeahh, why do they even have to change this masterpiece to some crap
m2k
I’m on pc, and pc doesn’t have Jukebox built into it
Gotta mod it but the mod doesn’t work anymore
Same here
POV: you’re here after Kazuya has been announced for Smash to hype yourself up with this absolute banger
Are you a psychic?
No, it was actually in my recommendations, but I still like this song. I kinda miss it too.
Nah, I came back for personal reasons. I'm using Karma/Electric Fountain and Heat Haze Shadow for hype.
My body is ready
Nah. Smash is trash
"They say what makes a tiger strong is it's lack of humanity." To people wondering why Heihachi is such a dastardly man.
I miss this :'(
This theme reminds me of my bestfriend who died 2 years ago due to a car accident. We played this series since the 3rd game. Painful memories.
Im sorry man.. :(
Rest in peace, old man. i swear, i will miss you in TEKKEN8
He’s still Alive
I wonder if Bamco will make us feel the same way we did about Heihachi for Kazuya now that T8 is coming
Just ridiculous!! The developers have to be insane to produce such an incredible masterpiece. Goddamn musical genius's that they are!
This goes to the man himself - the lunatic, the power-hungry tyrant, the devious strategist, the man of power, the man of unbreakable will, of uncompromised strenght... the man of the hour, the one who started it all...
*eyes watering*
...the brute... the provocateur... the meanest, manliest... son of bitch I ever known in my life...
The True.
The Absolute.
The King of Iron Fist.
I miss him already...
DevilGearHill BEST APPRECIATION EVER
no i dont lmaoooooo
Ive been a fan of tekken for my entire life, I first played tekken 3 with my dad on the ps2 when I was 4 years old. Crazy how time flies by. Tekken is, has and forever will be my favorite video game franchise.
I was broken when leaving this game for a while and coming back to the change that omitted this tune.
Very late but... the song itself and the Heihachi key art in the dark goes insanely hard ❤
The fact I felt some emotion behind just this soundtrack makes me so hyped! TEKKEN FAMILY 3 MORE FUCKING DAYS LEFT LETS GET SOME FIGHTS PERSONAL!!!!!!
When Arslan Ash won EVO 2019 and this theme started playing as he celebrated, brought a tear to my eye
Let's play this song at Heihachi's Funeral..
Heihachi 1994-2017. Father of 3 sons and boo of Kazumi.
Rest In Peace. Best father in the world
Luc Konosuke Didn't know Heihachi was in his 20's. Maybe he just looks old?
The Eddy Main He was born this way xD
+Dark Raider The best kind of dad..
Heihachi Mishima is dead? Wait for Tekken 8 first.
Heihachi never die (look the final scene in Tekken 1, when Kazuya threw him down the cliff; or in Tekken 4, with Jack's attack)
Also his VA died as well who also did joseph joestar(part 3) and mr satan
Will always be my Main Menu theme in Tekken 7, even today.
Played this game all summer in 2017 and this song was and still is my favorite in the whole game. Makes me feel so nostalgic
I can’t wait for tekken 8 been playing tekken since the 4th one . Not only that this soundtrack is amazing
Well I’m from 2024 and he’s still Alive
When i first bought this game i was prepared for an epic theme song and wasn't prepared for such an emotional song. Still amazing tho
I want this one back it is so goated
JUST. 4. MORE. DAYS.

I CANT FUCKYING WAIT ANYMORE OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That makes two of us, pardner.
early 2017 is almost upon us
2 more days over here in the UK. PC release is on June 1st for some odd reason.
This song makes me feel like this is the last Tekken. And its so emotional that i love it
I remember getting this game the year it came out to ps4, This was the first thing you hear after the cutscenes. What an opening, almost telling you thanks for buying the game, hope you get ready for this ride. I enjoyed this game until i bought it on PC and still play it to this day! Thanks Harada
Omg this theme is perfect for my gymnastic workouts 😩😩😩😩what did us Tekken fans do to deserve such a beautiful theme
I hope this song is in smash lol one of the best menu themes
Aloneness (which is a remix of Solitude) will be added to Smash so that technically counts! Best part? It's going to be a new version of the song for the Mishima Dojo stage!
@@lightbluesquid @Gustavo SmashBro00 The remix also incorporates The Long Goodbye and there's even a little bit of this song in particular at 0:03 in the arrangement (it's at around 0:10 in Solitude)
It’s 2019 and I still can’t get over this game and how Heihachi put his effort in everything for the good of the world, even though he had his dark moments.
Summer 2017 Nostalgia. Hard to believe it's almost been 4 years already.
*Edit: Heihachi... It's been 7 long years... Welcome back to The King of the Iron Fist Tournament.
Exactly the same
Exactly the same
I'll never forget bringing this over for the first time and playing it from evening until dawn with the boys in August 2017, good times
It's crazy how long ago this game got released, i feel so old knowing it's been over 6 years since this game was released damn
