I love how Exit 8 became a sub-genre of Observation Duty genre.
It's kinda like the rogue lite to the rogue like.
@@deadzoneternity and Vampire Survivor from Batsugun (Bullethell)/Touhou.
And these game titles became a name for a Genre.
Literally my favorite thing to happen in video games in a long, long time.

Imagine having to do this every time you leave your apartment. Going to work? Have fun climbing all the way back up when you get home! Went out for dinner? Get walking! work off that meal!
i love watching these in bed to fall asleep to. My brain just takes over and i dream of myself being in a similar world. this one had me in my home city where there was people dressed in all black walking around shouting "there's an anomaly, point it out to us and walk there to claim the cash prize. But when people got it wrong they were chased down, ran over and killed by dutch people on bicycles.
The starting floor having more papers than "normal" is so f--ked! You can't make a spot-the-difference game and then have continuity errors!!

I love this game mostly because it had a pattable cat. 10/10 would scream again just so we can pat Ginger.
First time taking damage you had no shadow, I had to replay it to be sure, and even then I wasn't sure until you had a shadow on the next floor! Super sneaky, I bet that gets a lot of people

Imagine if one of the anomalies is just that you can't pet the cat on that floor
Edit: 12:25 Not exactly what I mean. I mean more like the prompt just straight up doesn't appear. Might be immersion breaking, being a UI element being the anomaly, but it would be funny

It's funny. Usually the number in the games title ist how far you have to go. But they just called it "stariway 7" even though you have to get to level friggin' 70!

Silent Hill 2 and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race
The anomaly when the cat turned into a monster, that one was the one you heard from below it. In other words, the game had an anomaly ready on the next floor and it was active.
yeah, he realised that as well after a later red-light event made him mess up again for the same reason.

I really like this game and the genre in general - hopw there is more to come
Sidenote: the dev should fix the anomaly clip through ceiling though
Also more anomalies, like more variety and more sneaky subtle stuff would be cool

Just realized that the mannequin model is the same as the roblox horror game, uploaded by Insym, titled 'Roblox Horror Games are Insane' lmao. I noticed this while watching the past videos I missed.
If going down when there’s no anomaly didn’t deal damage can’t you theoretically just instantly go down on every floor and then just continue upwards whether there was actually an anomaly or not?
So there is no punishment for going down? You can always go down and check if there was an anomaly or not and go up anyway. Or did i miss something?

Oh man, I'd love to see a game like this, or like I'm On Observation Duty 3, where one of the anomalies is "Phantom Object" aka an object no longer has collision. I think that could be pretty neat and would be something to look for via movement while you're looking with your eyes
i asume is " easier" when you can ask over 1000 people if you are missing something... :) ( not trying to be mean, but maybe it explain why people says is more dificult than other exit 8-likes)
