This is a much better system than the Roland. It's a true Midi device that can be used with a myriad of other DAW based software. For $399 plus the laptop you already use as a DAW, you're up and going. I have a Godin with the Roland 13 pin output and 2 Roland synths, this does more.
There are two things not shown on this video - how do you connect from the laptop to a PA/Guitar Amp? There is some sort of box on the table. what is it? Second, there seems to be some sort of foot control. what is it and how do you use it?
I would have liked to hear pads or strings layered with the regular guitar sound or an acoustic sound to see if you can get a realistic virtual acoustic guitar.
Is there any demos where the Fishman is accessing native Logic X instruments? I’m concerned I’ll be getting trapped in a proprietary Fishman world that only really sounds good if you’re using the Fishman instruments provided.
How do you amplify the Mac for live playing? specifically, what does the signal chain look like starting from guitar>fishman triple play wireless>Mac with soft synths>???. There's a ton of plugs coming out of the left side of his Mac. What is that box sitting next to the Mac on the right?
Hi, great video. The software you talk about, sample tank, amplitube guitar rig and so on, are the demo/light version or the full one? To use both guitar and midi do you have to plug guitar in your amp and the pc output into a mixer or pa system ? How is the midi sound coming out from pc? Good quality or noisy at high volume? Ty I'm very interested to buy
Believe it or not latency is not as good as you might think. There's quite a bit of it on this system. One other thing that they don't show in multiple video reviews of this device is chord strumming. You can't strum chords as you would with folk songs or rhythm guitar. It all comes out late and garbled. I sent mine back.
Looks cooll, I've experimented with DAWs midi output to another channel from audio with other effects and it was pretty sloppy picking up the pitch changes. It's possible but usually requires a gate and a VST that will midi output. This looks much nicer. I use Reaper, so I"m assuming it will work okay with my DAW, but can I attach it to my bass?!? It would probably require a different pickup config... I"m gonna have to go research this a little more... Thanks for sharing, and I look forward to getting into it further...
can I use the triple play using my phone 6plus on stage? and how and what do I need? I already purchased the triple play after seeing this video but don't want to use a laptop on stage.
Nice demo - makes me want one, though I really don't need it; I already have similar Roland gear, but it looks like this tracks a little faster for MIDI. Just wanted to say thanks for staying away from BS 80's blues rock, which most demonstrators apparently think is still real mainstream music LOL. I play mainly Jazz, R&B, and Gospel, and I can easily imagine from this demo how my own work would go if I got a FTP for desktop production. I still don't like schlepping laptops, but if I get on a gig where I really need to play samples with tighter rhythm than I can do with my Roland, I will check out the FTP. One of the other comments mentioned strumming. You can do this with MIDI but IMHO you're better off doing that kind of thing with an audio-only processor, like the Roland COSM models in VG type stuff or Boss GP-10; or Line6 Variax. You will get more nuance, easier tracking, and easier control over the sound. FTP looks like the current top of the heap for triggering a sampler, but I doubt it can match the guitar modelers for that whole bag. HTH
Just unreal F*cking cool and awesome! Does it actiually work as well as is shown here??! So cool xD It would come in handy with my looper pedal or song writing.
hello .the extra volume pedal to be connected to triple play Fishman fc-1 as it should be as a comine volume pedal .do i want a particular padal midi ?
does this transmit raw midi output? i want to use this in my daw as a midi controller without using the sounds included with the packaged software edit: question answered
At around 50 seconds you say 'you can get started right away as soon as you get it home'. It is massively complicated with downloads taking several hours and it is a million miles away from being intuitive! You call this video ''everything you need to know' but I need to know how to get a single sound to come out of the computer after hoiurs and hours of trying every which way and despite the test signal working through the speakers various patches are in red and no end of re-scanning, reloading, uninstalling, installing etc will fix it. What your videos shows is that you are a higly proficient guitarist capable of showing off the best features of this system. even installing one of the many plugins I then find I have to attach a midi keyboards to set itu p. No! plug abnd play should mean what it says. I made an expensive time comnsuming mistake. RThe roland GR55 despite its heavy thick umbellivcal cord is plug and play.
Why piano sounds on a guitar...? I mean, it's cool, but I can't see a situation where I wouldn't just play piano. Are guitarists attempting to replace an entire band?
You don't use it to replace one, it's just a good option to have should you need to fill in a 3rd hand for the keys, or layer an existing guitar tone, or have a real legato phrasing option (the real selling point for me).

Just do yourself a favour and try ( 30 day nothing left off) Jam Origin Midi Guitar 2 . No hardware and works like a dream for me.

The Triple play pickup is BRILLIANT'

2:59 This is going to make some guitar teachers very very happy
i wanted to hear you strumming, and how well is it captures. you only do arpeggios
Actually watch again, he did strum the piano
Yes but you havent covered basics such as what the controls/knobs do on the guitar itself because that is the control centre!
that lick at in the intro is sick - super fusion :)
can you post the whole tune?
Iam waiting for time, when guitarist will sounds like drums and drumers will sounds like guitars.
iannickCZ that time is now sir~
Have you ever listened to djent?
nice job, I was wondering if it has any cons.....I am about to buy one!thx

I had the same Question - and 3 years later No One has Answered us!
Audio interface.

Wow, excellent. What model Hagstrom guitar is this? It looks really nice.
Beatiful device, by the way what is the guitar model is playing?, it looks like a Hagstrom one, but I can not recognize the model....
I would love to know exactly what the Drum layout is on the NECK. Anyone have this info? I am using Connect for iPad.
Sold! Thanks for the video!!!
Excuse me Mr. White, is there a patch on that software that can create a polyphonic distortion?
Can this play realistic orchestral instruments? And can this control kontakt sample library? And inside FL studio?
Yes - this will play anything that takes midi
Any good for live work
Cheers
Nice video from Heisenberg
I wonder what if it has a fretless bass sample? It would be cool if it did. I'd buy it right away...

I am left handed and play left-handed models. will it have any effect on the base uses of this thing?

how to order this midi wireless guitar controller?
i like it badly!!!
can I use the triple play using my phone 6plus on stage? and how and what do I need? I already purchased the triple play after seeing this video but don't want to use a laptop on stage.
This software is taking for ever to download
What pedal controller is best when live with this system???
Hi - One question before I buy. Can I use as Midi Controller in a DAW?
Yes
Does it have a good "growling sax" type sound?
I would like to see it used as a controller of good sample patches , the 140 patches that come with it lack abit.
Been thinking of something like this since I started playing guitar.
Nice demo - makes me want one, though I really don't need it; I already have similar Roland gear, but it looks like this tracks a little faster for MIDI.

I have a Roland Ready Stat can the pick up install on this model?
Just unreal
F*cking cool and awesome!

So cool xD
It would come in handy with my looper pedal or song writing.
will it fit a semi hollow like epiphone sheraton? your semi hollow seems to have the bridge lower than usual
Pls,
How can I purchase it?
can it create a preset and save it for easy access on some songs?
How is the latency ?
What guitar is that?
Hagstrum. Burr Johnson signature.
can you use the controller with logic?
Sarah Sherlock He actually MENTIONS Logic!
hello .the extra volume pedal to be connected to triple play Fishman fc-1 as it should be as a comine volume pedal .do i want a particular padal midi ?
how much does this cost
First saw these at a Breaking Benjamin show; very interesting!
can it works with One Man Band software arranger real-time?
o amigao oque vc ta usando no pc pra dar esse som por favor
Bought the tp a few years ago there's issues with the software support wasn't much help Roland gr55 is much better it works
So long story short - I can buy this, plug it into my guitar, plug the other end into Logic and then play? $400 total??
Yes
Can it use as logic pro x midi controller?
Will it work on my 8 string guitar?
David Ysasi yes, maybe... But the last 2 strings will sound like a normal guitar I think
does this transmit raw midi output? i want to use this in my daw as a midi controller without using the sounds included with the packaged software
edit: question answered
Would it work or not?
Can this interface with any Daw.
can we use the guitar library of kontakt with this device..?
thats a hot guitar
tell me it does upright bass
Walter White?
There is no explanation of what the computer interface does and how it works! That is the very least I want to know.
Again.... a video showing that this thing is good for again... jazz, funk.
Just use migic or jam origin
Niceee 😅
This thing costs as much as my guitar.
$509.00
Написание табулатур расстроило! Программа не воспринимает подтяжки,хамеры и пул офы! А легато распознает через раз!
He's too much of a salesman.
Cool Guy Duuuuhhh...

sax sound sucks..
Ymel Y midi sax usually does
Why piano sounds on a guitar...? I mean, it's cool, but I can't see a situation where I wouldn't just play piano. Are guitarists attempting to replace an entire band?
The J-Key It's any synth sound you want. The legato options alone make it worthwhile. You can grab a 3rd hand keyboard overdub, here & there, too.
Thomas Jester But why on a guitar? I mean, it might be easier for guitarists, sure, but I mean come on!
Why the hell not?
Thomas Jester But why? I mean, I imagine a keyboard for midi would be probably easier and about a quarter of the price.
You don't use it to replace one, it's just a good option to have should you need to fill in a 3rd hand for the keys, or layer an existing guitar tone, or have a real legato phrasing option (the real selling point for me).
Crap.. That is why people today can't play anything well.. Just buy a synth or a daw!!!
what guitar is that?
