I was sooooo shocked by Maria's vote. How did she go from wanting to get Charlie out because he was a threat to win... to not voting for him?

My problem with the Maria vote is how cold it was, she expressed no empathy toward Charlie or recognition of his game or their alliance.
Just happy Maria didn’t win. She showed her true colours at the final tribal. Snake!
Maria: I saw the fire in Kenzie's eye when she was making fire." Yeah. That's called a reflection. Worst reasoning to vote for someone, ever. And right after that Q saying he voted based on their answers to his stupid question about what they were going to do with the money. Who cares!!! Vote based on who played the best game!!! Sheesh! Needless to say, I think Charlie should have won! lol
So much for outwit, outplay, outlast.
Maria is evil inside for not voting for Charlie. What about being family? Her #2? Poor character on her part. Thank you to you both for great recaps and great season! ❤
Maria is free to vote for whoever she wants to win but given the edit, it does seem more a villainous move. With the whole rock/paper/scissors move earlier and now this?

Ben's speech to Liz on the beach had me literally guffawing!
7:03 I’ve seen a lot of people pissed about this, but I honestly loved it! It was really exciting to watch, and such a smart and bold move! Liz did what Jeff has talked about: ask him for forgiveness, not permission. If you ask him for permission and he has to make a quick decision during a challenge, he’ll probably say no.
If people are mad about this move they should be mad at Jeff/production for not stepping in, not Liz and/or Kenzie for trying their hardest to beat the biggest threat. 🤷♀️
I personally think Maria should’ve done a better job managing her threat level if she didn’t want to have to rely on winning immunity.
I’m happy to see Kenzie win, she reminded of Carolyn from 44, so I wanted her to make to the finale.
I don’t see any similarities to Carolyn at all. If anything Kenzie was most like Yam Yam.
The delulu of "I played the best game and am going to win" from the goats of this season (Q & Liz) has been so great!

Thought it was just me. It seems she can dish it out but can't take it. Cried all day when Charlie didn't take her on the challenge, like only she has the option to play her game her way, and nobody else should have that option.
@@jillianvash1989 oh no, Maria’s very obvious and inexplicable bitterness towards Charlie has been the most talked about topic I’ve seen on Twitter and Reddit since the episode ended. The fire making thing was the weakest lie she could’ve given, imo.

Seemed like Tiffany and Q were voting for Kenzi no matter what.
That terrible start for their tribe, then making fire at the end, ended up winning it for her.
@36:39 some q's for thought: LIZ - how much weight did she lose?!? CHARLIE- Did he know about Venus having an idol? What was his reaction when he was sooo close to going home had Maria told Q to use his idol? MARIA- Why didn't she tell Q to use his idol when she knew about Charlie's plan? Would she have voted for Charlie if he opted to do the fire challenge and have that fire in his eye? BEN - Nicholas Cage. 9:36 I think it was more that she knew her chances were slim, and her best bet was to try and rally Charlie + 1 other vote to put on someone else.
Seems like the new era really trends towards very social players winning!
But was she more social than her? Everyone liked Charlie too. He hands down played the better game in all aspects.
@@Hoop_23 I agree- I would have voted for Charlie! I thought he had it in the bag. But it seems like every season in the new era the jury cares less about strategy and more about who was friends with everyone.
This cast was very unique in that they all wanted credit for moves and didn't recognize how others contributed to those moves, which meant that people with big moves were immediately voted out and that meant to survive you needed to go underground. With so many huge egos on board those egos weren't willing to acknowledge other people's accomplishments, which to me meant if you wanted their vote you had to give them the credit. This is why I think Charlie's points weren't swaying votes... in most other season Charlie would be the clear winner bit this season the jury seemed to take offense if you took credit for a move and subtle moves were invisible and not taken seriously. For a traditionalist this seasons outcome would behave been infuriating but for those that enjoy when something different happens it was a delightful. Personally I'm torn because Charlie is both a lovable player and a great Survivor strategist and I also enjoy when a purely social game is recognized (because it's usually the physical and domineering players that get the bulk of the credit) so I can't decide if I love that Kenzie won or if I wish Charlie won. I'm just glad it wasn't Q or Liz, while they were entertaining they were also aggravating with their entitlement.
Yay Kenzie! I was so happy to see Charlie and Kenzie in the final 3.
@27:55 that's a good point Hunter made. @30:47 yes what's up with the need for credit this season??? Kenzie made subtle moves like not telling Hunter to use his idol; comforting Ben despite him voting for him and when he needed someone the most, etc. @32:48 I wonder who Ben will vote for if it was a tie vote! @33:10 I wonder if Charlie opted to be in the fire challenge and win, then Maria would have voted for him. Also, maybe Kenzie was a true mastermind by somehow persuading Maria to vote for her over Charlie. I was shocked too since I thought Maria/Charlie were the Denise/Malcolm this season (though in Survivor Philippines Malcolm ended up voting for Denise to win.) @34:58 I wonder if any of the 3 simply stated a lie just to win Q's vote? I mean, how would we really know how they'll spend it? Ultimately Kenzie won because of FTC and jury management. Tiffany seemed to be very pro-Kenzie. Great recaps as always! Thank you.
Q was not charlie's move....if you have to.say it was reaaly liz and kenzie that convinced maria that they are with her...and the maria move, it was everyone's game not just his..people are really overestimating charlie

Yes Kenzie gave the best answer for why she wanted the money. She deserved it, but I'm surprised at Maria not voting for Charlie. Kind of a turn coat if you ask me. But in the end the right person won
I actually like Ben’s answer for that question the best.
@@JNDReacts yes helping parents is good but wanting to donate money is kinda generic but Charlie was the same way and maybe even more so. Anyway it turned out for the best as far as I'm concerned. But I do believe that Ben's answer was better than Charlie's for my own reasons that I won't mention
Great Season with a kind of a dud Finale. Thank You Both for you excellent analysis!!!, it makes the game better, feels like chatting with friends who enjoy it as much as I do.
After last night’s finale it really hit me why I dislike the new era Survivor. Probably not a popular opinion but I really can’t take the niceness as people are being voted out. I really can’t take all of the crying and breakdowns we have to endure now. I really wish we could go back to the days of villainous players and bitter juries. Probably not as nice for the world but it made for way better television.

@@mwangi10 , I guess she was bitter by her vote but I’m even talking when people get voted out now. They all think it’s a badge of honor to be blindsided and everyone is always saying I love you and what a great game you played. My theory always has been you lost therefore it wasn’t that great of a game.
let us not forget that Liz drove that Tevin blindside & apparently Liz is really not a millionaire and just said that to minimize her threat level and was planning to drop that bomb in the FTC.

The new era now has 4/6 women winners which makes me very pleased. The previous 15 seasons before season 41 only had 3 women winners. Just curious if anyone has thoughts on what has made the difference in the new era.
Hmmm, with this vote it starting to look like people are voting based on gender and not gameplay.

Kensie is lovely, but Charlie was robbed by poor final TC performance and a bitter jury member.
Maria answer why she didn`t vote for Charlie was stupid. If she wants to be bitter, take it out on Liz or Kenzie, they work together to get her out, she didn`t even work with them, but to take it out on Charlie, because he got her before she got him out, Charlie is a class act, I can`t say the same for Maria. Bitter women.
i honestly thought if charlie won it would make for such an underwhelming ending, kenzie winning was such a good moment to watch for me
I feel like Liz cheating for Kenzie is an issue. Could any player put your puzzle together or throw your ball or swim your lap? Why didn't Maria contest this? She lost the game because of this?
Plus why didn't Liz or Maria have questions in the finale?
Why didn’t Jeff stop that? All these players must have said to each other before the challenge ‘whatever takes to get Maria out’? At what point did Liz sacrifice her chance for Kenzy?

Tbh kenzie and ben did not deserve to be in the final tribal. They suck at challenges and Liz had to help Kenzie to get rid of Maria just to fail on making fire. Undeserving final 4 besides Charlie.

Survivor 46 was a disappointment
Honestly as much as I don't care for the money question, I dislike these fake ass answers Charlie and Ben gave even more. Trying to squeeze in some charity in there as a last ditch effort to pull on people's heart strings, like give me a break pls 😏I'm so glad the chaotic mess that is Q was not having any of it 🤣The first and most likely the only time Q and I would end up on the same page 😅

You say this as if there hasn’t ever been surprising winners in survivor before. Did Fabio winning also say something about the decline of America? Or is it just Kenzie for some reason lol. Survivor is a SOCIAL strategy game. And Kenzie had great social strategy, literally helping people cry through their panic attacks. Her social strategy was great and it’s why she won.
I’m not sure why you’re making it political….if anything it just shows how much you’re projecting your opinions out onto the world
