21:38 I mean, I’ve been saying for a couple weeks now that I think the idea that Maria has played a good game is actually just because she’s played so closely with Charlie. Any time we’ve seen the two of them come up with a good plan it originates from him.
I think Charlie votes out Q if he didn't find out about Venus's idol. It's telling that all the women voted for Venus. There was clearly a conversation we weren't privy to.
When venus dropped the ball i screamed NNOOOOO!!!!!!
Good recap as usual. I’m not even gonna bring up the fact that you & David coordinated your outfits to match the lamp & curtains. Nope! I won’t do it. LOL!!!!

The start of the episode I was like WOW YESS Venus she was doing so good! I can’t believe she told Charlie a hint and then didn’t play it no QUEEN. I hope Charlie wins!
I only wish it had been Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock...😅
At this point of the season if you find an idol you're going home
I was shocked when Maria made Q and Liz rock, paper, scissors. She really thought her hands would be clean because she didn't "make the decision". But the not making a decision is so much worse. And her build up about hunger! It was just a bad move on Maria's part.
Yanu did that dumb fake idol plan early on and either Jess or the Survivor gods said, “No real idols will be played this season.”

Maybe I was dreaming but I could have sworn that Maria DID say she was including Q in the running because she owed him for taking her to applebee's. Despite that, it was a really great recap this week! So, glad to see that the right person is wearing glasses this time! I do remember David predicting that Maria would be going home this week. I also remember agreeing with Sara that he was nuts for thinking that. I believe Sara said something like "that's extra information that they don't know" which I thought was spot on and I'm shocked she doesn't remember being so perceptive.
I had the exact same reaction as both of you during Venus and Charlies conversation. I legitimately believe that every player from the new era actually believes that they are NOT allowed to play their idol until the final 5. I think if every single person at tribal had announced that they were voting for Hunter, Tiff and Venus that all of them still would not have played their idol! I'm being totally serious.
And I just KNEW that Q was the one who voted for "Venise".
Remember Venus also harken back to Tiff going home with an idol.
Jeff must really want the fake idol situation to be possible. The idols are so sad looking. Especially after just watching Australia 😂
22:21 even if Liz had won rock, paper, scissors, this still wouldn’t have been a great look for Maria because it makes her look very indecisive, which is generally not a quality of anyone’s game that wins them jury votes.
Super sad to see Venus go. She was great and brought chaotic spunk to the game. I think Charlie may just pull off the win for this season. I’d love to see a Charlie and Kenzie final two. Love the recap as always.
I kept saying Liz Liz please Maria.....Maria lost the game with that rock paper scissors decision....Sarah and David she just lost ....she is crying next episode
Sarah & David you are on 🔥 in this recap and there is plenty of material to burn.
Maria couldn't have looked worst, grinning ear to ear back at camp after tribal and later the botched reward selection (all Maria no input from Charlie).
The preview for next week alludes to Maria finding out that she has been blind to something ... maybe she realizes Charlie is working against her.

They didn't think 2 idols were back in play since NO ONE really believed Hunter had an idol.
They thought Hunter was bluffing. That's why they didn't search for his idol.
Also I don’t think we’ve seen more than one post-merge idol hidden at a time. Like when Drea and Maryanne both played theirs, we only ever saw one idol found after that.
@21:08 would be hilarious if Maria is in the final 3 and if Liz/Venus/Q asks her to do rock/paper/scissors with the other final contestants so they can decide who to vote for. @27:30 I agree. Both Charlie/Venus have had trust issues in the best so when Venus told him that, it makes sense for Charlie to vote off Venus. @32:17 I agree and it was great how Venus said it like it is. Even Kenzie mentioned in her confessional that Venus is the only one who hasn't lied to her.
@40:27 I agree. Information is currency out there and if you have that 1 ride or die person who you can share information with and trust 100%, that will help you strategize and maybe even correctly use the advantages (i.e. idol, extra vote, knowledge is power, etc.)
I wonder if someone has an idol we don't know about. Remember when Marianne had a secret idol?
4:19 Yeah, I think the narrative that “Venus is so negative” got thoroughly debunked this episode. When she dropped the ball an inch from the net and still managed to smile and laugh about it, after dropping it near the end however many times before? I would’ve been so frustrated I would’ve pulled an Owen and accidentally broken that stick.

Maria picking Q instead of Venus for rock, paper, scissors is weird. Q just ate and Liz has rice, at least. Venus truly hadn’t eaten & you can tell. It would’ve been better if she just owned up to picking who she wanted instead of making a speech and big deal about it. Picking Liz or Venus would’ve made more sense for that lil speech.

Charlie wins the game if he gets out Maria at final four but I can see Maria blindsiding him first.
Honestly... these blindside move claims are just bamboozling. Kenzie started the fire with the Tiff vote, with out that, Maria wouldn't have made the move. And with the Soda move.. Venus was vocally about soda since the beginning of the season. So to me It was Kenzie's Move and Venus' move. IMO
I think picking Q for that was the end of her game.
What if Survivor cures Liz’s food allergies?
I was impressed by Maria up to this point, but she was a complete B tonight! Not a way to win the jury!

Yes, there are times in life you just need to be humane and show kindness. Picking who she did added nothing to her game.

It was Ben who voted for Linsey not Charlie because I was wondering who wrote Kenzie’s name down so I paid close attention at the end summary.
They split the vote in case Venus played her idol.

Maria had no balls to just choose., 'm a libra and I'm not indecisive at all. But I am glad it wasn't Liz. If Maria wanted to pick Liz it would have been her first pick. Liz acts like she deserves to go because she went on the show KNOWING she wasn't going to be able to eat.

I think you're underestimating Marie. She made the decision that she only needs 4. So she picked Q and Ben. She knows Liz is a loose cannon. The problem is she doesn't recognize how much of a threat Charlie is.
She didn’t make a decision, she let a children’s game make the decision for her.
To be fair, Liz does have rice. I don't have much sympathy for her. She knew when she signed up that she would be in this position. Gluten intolerant AND allergic to coconuts?
...am I a bad person because I found it hilarious Liz lost paper scissors stone (what we called it growing up in Chicago)??? Then I'll be the *worst* person because I LOVED it! Especially losing to Q!!! I. Cannot. Stand. Liz!!! HeeeeeeeeHeeeeeeeeHeeeeeeeeeeee
