      As it should be. Boxing is the greatest test of an athlete in my opinion. I started into this sport later in life and have mad respect for anyone that has the guts to step through my club's door and wants to challenge themselves. I have nothing to prove to anyone else but myself. 🥊

    I have followed their careers since the late 80s but especially after that first fight. That was a helluva match up between two fighters in their prime.
    Glad to see them reach such a level of maturity and civility such as what we're seeing here. When two warriors go to battle they can't help but respect each other.

      @allpositivenetwork 9 месяцев назад +2

      Well at the time both were up and coming and it was on the Bowe-Ferguson card as i was in high school at the time. Nobody knew both Roy and Bernard would go on to have better careers than Bowe. We just didn't know what we were watching back then though Roy was destined for greatness since the olympics.

    • @princekareem6872
      @princekareem6872 8 месяцев назад +2

      Precisely, Roy was already an upcoming star but Bernard was still an underdog at this time of his career, so it was not the dream fight we wished around the year 2000. Their first fight in 93 was too early and their second fight in 2010 was too late sadly.

    • @allpositivenetwork
      @allpositivenetwork 8 месяцев назад

      @@princekareem6872 I don't think it was too early. it was just ahead of its time. Just like Donald Curry and Marlon Starling. they both fought early in their careers, then a couple years later or so,, they fought again.. After Curry moved up, Starling was the man at 147. So it was just right. Just like Tua vs Ibeabuchi and Byrd vs Ibeabuchi. Today, we never get fights like these. Guys wait 4 and 5 years to fight the other top guys in their division.
