I had the x1 and honestly it’s the first Hoka in 9 years that I found slippery, hard in cushion in forefoot, and back padding eroding quickly. I decided to give Hoka a 2nd chance with the X2. I am not disappointed. These are phenomenal. Bouncy, fast, yet with good cushioning, lightweight (6 gr in size 8.5) and no terrible vibration in the quads. A major improvement The heel does contain some padding and holds my heel well in place. Did not notice any slippage. Much better than the x1. We ll see about durability
I bought the mach x 2 yesterday and I ran a half marathon to test it out. there's a little bit of a heel slippage but you kindof forget it when when you're deep in your run. its a great shoe. if you're looking for a fast daily trainer, I would recommend it.
I just bought the Machx2, and before that I had been running in my Pegasus 38. I saw an immediate improvement to my timing, cutting my 10km from 1h16m to 1h flat. Simply incredible. However, the heel was sharp and my heels was scratched as a result.
@@ramirezsmith9791 nope, i wore slightly thicker socks and they were now fine, i suspect it takes a bit of breaking into, and at the heel there's a slightly sharp sliver of fabric (?) that you can kinda twist away from your ankle and it removes some of the irritation. All in all i do recommend this pair of shoes if you're keen, but i reckon you'd really need a thicker pair of socks for the first few runs to be safe.

Best review so far on this shoe. Actually contained useful information unlike most reviews.

There is an arch support poking sensation with this shoe? X and X2
The idiots that agreed to this heel counter should be fired!
Is good for flat feet?
CMEVA (X1) and SCEVA (X2)
