Excited about the new Hokas. Sad about all the price increases. What used to be a cheap sport is now a very expensive. Welp, I will buy last year's models
Thanks for the preview! Can't wait for the new cielo to drop. Mach x3 is basically a whole year till we gonna see these is stores. Would ve loved ro see them earlier
I’m excited for the new Cielo X1. One of the things that was holding me back from buying the original version was the weight compared to other race shoes, so I’m glad they’ve done something about that. I’ve been looking for a new marathon race shoe for next year and this has just moved to the top of my list. Hopefully it retains all of the great things about the original version as well.
@@berthein5476 Basically, it's their new running retailer exclusive shoe. But it's a bit sad that such a legendary shoe with 10 editions has kind of taken the backseat for them instead of being given the premium treatment.
Clifton is competing with Brooks Ghost, so I’m absolutely not surprised they increased the drop. They’ve got the Skyflow now, so it makes perfect sense. Also Clifton’s toebox almost looks anatomical now! 3:49
Good stuff. Hoka is one brand I've always struggled to get a good fit in. The only one I recall working well was the Bondi 4....going waaaaay back about a decade now I'd say. Haven't tried a Bondi since but maybe next year will be the time!
I personally still consider the Mach X2 my favorite shoe of the year. I have had zero issues with the heal and the ride might make it the most enjoyable shoe in years. Literally just looking at it sitting by my front door makes me want to go out for a run whenever I see it. I'll check out the X3, but hopefully the release of it will mean some discounts on the X2!
Low key excited about the Bondi 9. The 8 was great after breaknin for comfoy protective ride but it has no bounce. The 9 looks to be a great upgrade for us heavier joggers
Hoka used to be a well kept secret of runners...and then it became a fashion statement. You see it in Sydney with multiple Hoka exclusive stores in some of the highest end retail locations in town - and the stores are packed. They are on fire, they are pricing accordingly but the fashionistas keep coming along with the poorer serious runners...
They’ve gotta get on with performance, but they seem to be catching up with midsole technology. It’s right on time, because On is eating up that athleisure segment
@@KoIhara From what I see in Sydney On has a noticeable but not huge lead over Hoka in terms of what I see on well to do people's feet. But ASICS is definitely not too far behind. adidas and Nike have really fallen out of favour...
The "Clifton" 10 is NOT a Clifton! I have been using the Clifton since the first version. What was Hoka thinking but turning it into a completely different trainer with that high of a drop?? I'm out, I guess. I'll stick with 0-5mm (Bondi, Slyflow, Skyward X, Mach X, my Altras, etc.)
As someone who haven’t liked the clifton, because of my wider foot and I prefer 8 mm drop it might fit me well. But it seems to become more a everyday/work shoe than a running shoe.
At this point it’s not even a guaranteed thing that the new carbon racer would be better than the previous generation. Rocket X 2 was so good that I’d prefer that they don’t mess with it much
How they don't lose the bounce and "fun" that the Cielo X1 had. Sure, it was a little bit heavier than ideal, but that bounce and fun factor were off the charts, especially for a mid or back of the packer who still wanted to move. Hopefully they don't lose that in the 2.0.
The x2 felt so good, but the heel is a huge problem (just check the reviews on Hoka website). I was hoping they woul do a midlife update like mach x2 ver.2 to fix that. Shame we have to wait almost a year for the update. Oh and no Mach 7?
they really struggle with colorways. they always start with these carnival colors and the release a cool color after you finally buy the clown shoe. Bute great shoes otherwise. So if you like the colors get em'.
i would guess late winter/early spring. the way they were discussing the MX3 being later than the others and being a fall release, i'd think late winter/early spring. the X1 came out in february
Looks like the new Cielo is a cross between the original Cielo X1 and the lighter Rocket X2. I have the Rocket X2 and was looking at getting the Cielo X1 for marathons, but I might hold out for this new one now.
Clifton with 8mm?? Instead of keeping everything the same and update the foam with a double PB/EVA blend or something alike, they increased the signature 5mm drop that makes a hoka a hoka. Baffled.
Really Don’t understand why the mach x 3 has a late release , hoka knows they messed up the heel so why fix it and delay the release. Just own up to the mistake and fox asap.
Hoka should really stick to trail shoes. Road shoe colorways are terrible. Cielo X1 2.0 is the only slightly interesting shoe to me. I'll buy the X1 for a marathon trainer when they go on sale...
hoka had never released a X shoe as X1. everyone has been just X. and then X2. so when released as X1 i thought it was odd. so not surprised it's now X1 2.0. X1 is part of the name, not iteration
Hopefully these updates help revive Hoka. They have been getting there but kicked in their own game for some time now. So many better options in other brands these days.
HOKA has killed it over the last year and half. starting with the Mach 5 and Rocket X2 up to the recent release of the Mach X2, even with the heel issue that shoe is a banger. and not everyone has the issue with the heel. Skyward X, Cielo X1, Skyflow, Mach 6, their trail shoes, all have been great shoes. Clifton and Bondi were stuck in the past with the old EVA and had become casual/lifestyle shoes more than running shoes. Many people still use them for running because they work for them, but those people are missing out on some great shoes and new tech
The highlight of the year at Believe in the run: The charming Bekah with the new Hoka lineup.
As soon as she said the word “volume”, Thomas was out. He was there physically, but mentally he left the building.
Synch lol
Excited about the new Hokas. Sad about all the price increases. What used to be a cheap sport is now a very expensive. Welp, I will buy last year's models
I had thought that’s the way most folks go. It’s bit tricky retaining the long-term memory of shoe reviews from 1 year ago
Id argue with the enhancements in shoe technology that newer models are able to go longer and are more durable.
Thanks for the preview! Can't wait for the new cielo to drop. Mach x3 is basically a whole year till we gonna see these is stores. Would ve loved ro see them earlier

I’ve wanted and wished many things for the Clifton over all these years. A higher drop wasn’t one of them.
Agreed, the clifton looks very underwhelming. And it has a new formulation of the old foam instead of supercritical.
I don't understand why they didn't put the supercritical in the Clifton.
They can't. It would compete with the skyflow. The skyflow is basically the new clifton
@@berthein5476 Basically, it's their new running retailer exclusive shoe. But it's a bit sad that such a legendary shoe with 10 editions has kind of taken the backseat for them instead of being given the premium treatment.

The toebox of the 9 was terrible. The one on the 10 looks very promising!

Officially will not be buying another Clifton, RIP my favorite ever trainer
Although I switched to the Mach range 2 years ago, I wouldn't buy the new Clifton just because anything with 8+ mm drop kills my knees :)
This da one we’ve been waiting for
wheres the rocket x 3 @ ?? are they discontinuing?
Ooooh more volume in the clifton. That's what I need :)
Low key excited about the Bondi 9. The 8 was great after breaknin for comfoy protective ride but it has no bounce. The 9 looks to be a great upgrade for us heavier joggers
Wow. I'm impressed with Brooks and Hokas new offerings. Looks like the Cielo X1 2.0 is going to be my racer for 2025.
Love this time of year…little early christmas gift from BITR! Did you guys get a release date for the Cielo X1 2.0?
They said it will be released mid-Feb from another video I saw
I’m so glad they fixed the heel on the Mach X3

any date for the cielos?
I'm reading online February 2025

Am so excited you met my work colleagues Sam and Raf from Perth West Australia 🎉
I rotate between my Clifton and Rincon. Not sure I want a 8mm drop. May just rotate 2 pairs of Rincons.
go with the SKYFLOW to replace the Clifton, it's a better shoe
Or the Mach 6 which is better still
Cielo X1 was shoe of the year for me. The extra ounce didn’t bother me. I hope that cutout moving doesn’t affect pronation.
One of the reasons why I hated the Clifton was the low drop. Hopefully with this new 8mm drop, it's better.
Best shoe company ❤😊
I've never got on with any Hoka shoe and not entirely sure why 🤔 I do however like the look of that new Cielo
Mach 7?
No update for Rocket X2 ?

Where's the next Rocket X3? 😢
At this point it’s not even a guaranteed thing that the new carbon racer would be better than the previous generation. Rocket X 2 was so good that I’d prefer that they don’t mess with it much
Hope foam better on Clifton 10, as my 9 died very fast. Liked 9 a lot other than that.

Like from Spain. Have a great day.
Gracias señor
Hate that they increased the drop…
Idk I just can’t get on board with how Hokas look.
Big fan of adidas and brooks designs
they really struggle with colorways. they always start with these carnival colors and the release a cool color after you finally buy the clown shoe. Bute great shoes otherwise. So if you like the colors get em'.
@ agree. The crazy carnival colors is just too much. I like a more monochromatic colorway with traditional colors (ex adidas Evo sl )
Did she say when Cielo x1 2.0 is expected to be released?
Exciting indeed. No new foam on Clifton?
Waiting for Mach X3 😊
Are those shoes like a size 16 ??
When are we expecting the Cielo X1.2 to drop please?
i would guess late winter/early spring. the way they were discussing the MX3 being later than the others and being a fall release, i'd think late winter/early spring. the X1 came out in february

Anyone know if the Rocket X2 is getting an update?
Looks like the new Cielo is a cross between the original Cielo X1 and the lighter Rocket X2. I have the Rocket X2 and was looking at getting the Cielo X1 for marathons, but I might hold out for this new one now.
Pencil me in for 10 pairs of Clifton’s 👍
Haters goin hate (7mm would be PERFECT but I’ll take 8mm 🙏)
The prices are going crazy here....
Clifton with 8mm?? Instead of keeping everything the same and update the foam with a double PB/EVA blend or something alike, they increased the signature 5mm drop that makes a hoka a hoka. Baffled.
The Cielo looks more like the Rocket x2?
What foam on Clifton ???
Standard eva
So again, technically, the Skyflow is the Clifton 10, and the Clifton 10 is the Skyflow?
Really
Don’t understand why the mach x 3 has a late release , hoka knows they messed up the heel so why fix it and delay the release. Just own up to the mistake and fox asap.
Makes no sense considering the midsole/outsole is exactly the same. It’s not like they have to spin up a totally new shoe from scratch
Just when the Clifton could get any more outdated…Hoka “hold my beer”. Bondi “Critical Eva” = brick
The Clifton looks like a moon boot!?! 👢 Higher drop not on list of desirables...
I have Mach x and I absolutely hate them so uncomfortable upper feels tight ankle colar is so uncomfortable
Why the f is hoka waiting for the mach 3 till 2025. Just do a salomon and release a damn mach x 2 v2. And fix the upper now.
Their upper is too much thick. Should use rocketx2 upper like instead.
Tone it down on rizz my boi, you're taken.
Let me set aside $190 for next fall
I have been using the Clifton for years........higher drop......I may be out
Not about shoes, I love the chemistry between these two.
Hoka should really stick to trail shoes. Road shoe colorways are terrible. Cielo X1 2.0 is the only slightly interesting shoe to me. I'll buy the X1 for a marathon trainer when they go on sale...
Why is it a X1 2.0??? What an odd choice
Totally agree! Cielo X2 would have made much more sense
They studied the competition and realized their models were trailing Adidas by several words.
hoka had never released a X shoe as X1. everyone has been just X. and then X2. so when released as X1 i thought it was odd. so not surprised it's now X1 2.0. X1 is part of the name, not iteration
please for the love of all that is holy, lose the elf heel flairs. or at least reduce them. geezus
I love Hoka but these all look disgusting. I don’t understand the colours and some of the design choices.
Hopefully these updates help revive Hoka. They have been getting there but kicked in their own game for some time now. So many better options in other brands these days.
I feel like its the complete opposite! They have been absolutely killing it with everything lately lol

Definitely killed it this year. Mach 6, x2 been fantastic and still love my rocket x2
