This reaction is exactly like when you reacted to “new”, the same emotion and awe, almost ignoring the MV because of how much you liked the song. It really is nostalgic, only Yves can do that
This song feels like the manifestation of Yves. It fits her sooo well, I don't know how to describe it. It's just when I look at her face and think of her personality and her personal style and how she presents herself, it all culminates into this song.
I was there for your very first LOONA reaction, I remember 😆 The MV is good, the song is good, but the album as a whole is excellent. Her vocals on Diorama are heavenly, and Goldfish is one of my favorite post-LOONA b-sides
Exactly. You can just tell that Yves has no interest in releasing any filler. She's going to be an "album oriented" artist. I'm glad that she didn't sign with the same companies as the other girls, because it means that everything we're going to hear from her is 100%, what she feels like doing, and this amazing album shows that she made exactly the right move. Even the cover songs that she did along the way are mandatory listening/watching... btw, speaking of great listens, PD's first Marathon Loona reaction was quite a ride. I'm starting to feel like it's time to re-watch it :)... Now is a great time to be an Orbit/C.Loo/OURII...
to me this is soty. i know yves is too small of an artist to actually snatch awards by the end of the year, but in my house loop already went 3x platinum
THIS IS YVES! i know she has a long career ahead of her but i’m so incredibly happy that she’s shaping her sound to fit her personal style. i love seeing her find herself through music and she looks absolutely beautiful!
So great that PD noted the influences of the tunnel and how the song felt it had an interesting darkness to it just like New did, because Yves confirmed in a behind-the-scenes video that this is the EXACT same tunnel she filmed parts of New in! In a way, it's almost full circle. Just as Yves met a dejected and alone Choerry in the tunnel in the Cinema Theory footage all those years ago, Yves walks through the same tunnel and drops her own baggage, embracing herself before joining up with... Lil' Cherry.
i think loop is a perfect (re)debut, fun and a bit mysterious to get you hooked and shows yves personality, and i feel like we’re gonna get new-esque emotionally resonant tracks in the future
I love when a song is so good that gets PD distracted from the video itself 😆😆 Loop has been on loop on my playlists since it was released, its just so good, YVes took her time to come back and it was definetly worth it
Yves was amazing during showcases!! she was literally singing and dancing without backtrack (like when we have all the vocals behind) she was singing live and Queen! She's so stable!!
thank u for saying that yves is one of the best vocalist in loona but overlooked by her dance skills (which is phenomenal), but i never saw many people appreciate her vocals 😢
Yves has always worked hard and I knew she was going to wow me with this redebut. I wasn't expecting her to be performing on live stages with live vocals and no backing track. She's definitely going above and beyond. If you liked the MV and EP, I highly suggest watching the two videos leading up to the release, "하수영 (Ha Soo-young)" and "Yves (이브)" on Paix Per Mil's channel. The first is Yves discussing some of her struggles over the past few years, and the second is a breakdown of the tracks on the EP with her thoughts on them. They aren't necessary viewing but they are beautifully filmed and offer insight to her mindset and goals for this project.
i loved this song for yves!! i've always thought she got one of the best solo debuts in loona, like bbc reallu struck gold when they found yves, she & new/d-1 were a perfect match immediately. loop feels like it's beuilding on that & also just the fact that yves has way more control as an artist now. the whole ep is great, yves did so good in all of it, but i especially liked diorama. i'm really glad with the way paix per mil is handling her re-dubut so far & she seems very happy at her new label too
Im glad you had the same thought as me when it came to the feature! The juxtaposition of their voices makes the song really cool to listen to! But I do wish the rap lyrics were better 😭
I liked the song very much, including the brief intro and ending rap parts by Lil Cherry… However, i really wished that the longer middle rap was either replaced by a different arrangement, or was softened / shortened in some way! Btw, if you watch any of the Loop stages you will notice that the show lowers the rap volume so as to fit Yves song tone better… that’s one way to quickly improve the song arrangement.
PD!! I discovered you through the predebut loona reactions, time flies so fast 🥲🥲 it really is a bittersweet feeling watching this reaction now, with the circumstances. Thank you for liking loona and for always providing awesome content
Finally someone that actually TRIES to think of lil' cherry's role in the song and how she MAJORLY contributes to it instead of "haha funny voice mudda mukbang girl ruins the song", that's what having your opinion separate from social media looks like.
Funny i keep hearing that in Instagram. that app turned brainrot in a very unpleasant way. They don't even think. Never skipping Lil cherry's parts cus my mouth just automatically sing that
I agree (besides how weirdly bitter u sound about it) her verse is super good and is a great break in the song. Hate that she says stank tho, ruins the whole vibe for me, like it’s such a sharp word and feels like it comes out of nowhere
@fruit4evr agreed! i love her part before the chorus because it's a nice change of pace and transition, but it's hard to listen to her actual verse because of "stank" 😭😭
@@rosyjupiter yeah the Sstank" line is kinda goofy but i kinda learned to love it lol, but i never actualy cared about one verse rap lyrics in kpop so there's that also
I KNEWWW YOU WERE GOING TO LOVE THIS. ngl one of the main reasons I enjoy your reactions is that we have veeeery similar taste lmao. This was honestly the post bbc loona project i was the most excited about because seeing yves developing her own styler and aesthetic throughout the years has been so cool. the video, the outfits and THE SOUND it's sooo so uniquely yves, it's just so perfect. And i agree completely with the feature thing, I like lil cherry as a hypewoman but her actual verse did feel a bit disruptive (i don't mind it and with more listens i got used to it) but her in the pre chorus is great.
I mean this in the best way possible, but I would soooo love Yves to feature her singing voice for a game soundtrack, because I intantly thought of the Persona series. Loop is just masterful. It hits all the right spots, its decadent. Not too much, not too little, just perfect enough to play on loop (like you would in game osts!!)
My brain is like yours, PD-nim. Especially if I want to learn the lyrics or if there's a cool dance breakdown in the song. I will listen to it on repeat for a longggg time. Then one day I'll still like it but it's not "oh need to start my playlist with this song" anymore.
It felt so freaking good watching someone react to it just like i did!! Ahh, this song deserves way more recognition and appreciation!!! It's too good!!!!
yessss I'd been waiting for PD's reaction to this. Easily my favourite of the post-Loona releases by any of the members. She suits the solo concept so well!
I was actually wondering what kind of debut musically and aesthetically it would be. But honestly it’s fits her a lot, in so many ways. I knew since we kinda have the similar taste in music PD-nim you would be loving it.
LOONA , I remember , still my favorite Kpop girls and music.,,lil cherry is awesome, she has swag and creative genius,,,you should of added on the dance version back to back.,,,and yes we want lil cherry in the videos everytime...girl is the cherry on top , lovable and adorable pure fire.
Does someone knows if PD will ever listen to [One Of A Kind] album ? I know they already react to the MV and they released [DALL] and [LOOP] listening party, but I can't find [OOAK] listening party ^^'
I actually listen to her album more than ARTMS. I like all her songs, they are soothing. ARTMS Birth, of course. And some others. But Yves is my cup of tea. I am looking forward to Chuu.
I wasn't subscribed until now for some reason, but I was there!!! I caught up on loona with your video when it came out. As a new orbit myself, it was so nice to watch along with your commentary! I got away from watching kpop reactions, but I'm glad I saw this and subscribed right away :)
Thank you for playing my song! 🍒
omg hi yves ❤️❤️
hi queen!!
Imagine Yves watching your reaction😳 We love you girl🩷
hi queen
OMG PD LOOK
This reaction is exactly like when you reacted to “new”, the same emotion and awe, almost ignoring the MV because of how much you liked the song. It really is nostalgic, only Yves can do that
I’ll tell you this reaction FELT exactly like when I reacted to “new”. Truly only Yves can do that
Loooveeed Lil Cherry's parts. I don't even know her but her parts were so groovy to me that it complements Yves voice.
i love her parts too, orbits on twitter were getting too brave hating on my girl lil cherry 👑
@@moonlight-mh5omnow they like her lmaooo

The fact that this song is perfect in between C and C# Minor makes this so nostalgic for some reason
PD you’re so right. The whole thing is so grungy and campy. I love seeing idols stray away from the K-pop standards to deliver something different

Lil Cherry is kind of a camp rapper. A lot of her raps don’t make sense but in a good way😅 I recommend her song Mukbang
