So any censorship is happening more to the original US expanded script in the game and moving further away from Japanese script…. There is a bit that Vivian who was the butt of trans jokes in Japanese version (characters made fun of the the character pointing out “he” was a man) , but censored to be female in the original Western release, rather than trans. Apparently they have made the character trans again n remake… some of the old old jokes are there like in Japanese…. But it’s unclear how far they will handle the jokes about the character…. Could get a day one patch? ------ The original Japanese script translated to: In original Japanese: Hey, I see you got a cutie with you." "How about playing with us cutie?" I don't think Nintendo is ever going to get as bad as SBI but I agree that the censorship is not really great. Personally I think the original dialogue was better and funnier then what they changed it to. One thing I want to mention is that this is not the first time that Nintendo has censored or changed things thats related to topics that could potentially be considered political. They changed a few of the treasure names in the release of Pikmin 2 on Switch because they were referencing traditional gender roles. They changed the "Gem Star wife" and "Gem Star husband" Treasures to something else that I don't remember. I don't think the censorship is like a major deal breaker for buying the Thousand Year Door remake or anything but it is important to point out. Good video though, not sure why it has so many dislikes in comparison to likes. Hopefully my comment helps you get recommended more.
I literally said multiple times in the video that I don't claim to understand paper Mario whatsoever, also, I thought it was pretty clear the main video was less about the quality of the game and more so of censorship potentially affecting future Nintendo projects. Especially seeing as Nintendo of America now is hiring Western translators, and those same Western translators changed Fire Emblem Echos to take out any and ALL gendered language. I've been playing Steller Blade for a couple of days now. The game, despite the controversy, is great. It's honestly the first PS5 game I've played that's made me actually have fun, and it's beefy. I hope Shift UP is able to work something out with Sony to ensure the game gets uncensored. Most of the problems I've seen happen to good Playstation titles (recently Helldivers) has been because of Sony just being the worst company of all time and oddly acting like Nintendo back during the Wii days.

Well, thank goodness I have my copy of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door that I bought for $55 in 2004 and am playing it on my GameCube, and enjoying it immensely. Keep playing your older games, folks. Lift the proverbial finger to the woke.
Well I was already gonna skip buying it after it was confirmed to actually run at 30 fps. The original ran at 60 fps and I will not accept such a major downgrade on a modern system for a remaster/remake. The extra censorship is already the cream on top, though the original was already a bit too censored as it to be honest. This would've been their chance to decensor it, but instead they go for more censorship.
