    I didn’t understand a word out of your mouth. I’m just letting this play and commenting to boost the algorithm. Glad you like your new dirt bike(?) Whatever it is you sound excited and look like you had fun and that’s all that matters

    Well, when I tune in, I’m sitting on the old Chesterfield and thinking what is going on! You leaned over your bike, in the Sprinter, with a chest protector on! Well that’s just a knucklehead move! Of course the bike is going to start if you fixed that starter switch issue! 😂😂😂
    Enjoy the time off Chris! Loved all the race coverage this season, your insights are second to none!

    • @ChrisHornerCycling
      @ChrisHornerCycling  10 месяцев назад

      Right. When I first got the sprinter I would burn my pants with the knee touching the pipe while leaning over the bike to grab the straps. After the knee got really hot I learned to stop doing it. But the starter switch doesn’t burn the the knee, so for some reason I still keep hitting the starter while it’s in the sprinter and I’m strapping the bike down. 😂🔥

    Can we all just appreciate how much Chris has developed into a super entertaining presenter. Today I watched his coverage of MSR2021 - what a change 😅
    Keep going Chris 💪🦋

      I thought he was just ex has been Road head. (it’s OK I’m an ex has been myself)..😂😂
      Quite possibly one of the only or very few roadies that ride off-road on dirt bikes.
      I started watching your stuff during this years tour and enjoyed it, found it entertaining and a great perspective from someone who’s been there and done that. But after this, newfound respect. 😂

    Got a mint 2020 XCF-W 500 in January. My first "modern" dirt bike. Suspension needs work, but thats on the backburner until I can ride again. Destroyed my left ankle in August. No weight bearing until after Thanksgiving. Cant wait to start PT, then get out to pedal. Typing this on a Saturday, wish I could be riding instead.
    Great to see someone stoked on a new bike.

    Excellent! I just bought my first KTM after half a century of riding Japanese bikes. I needed a small adventure motorcycle to ride the dirt roads and explore here in Southern Utah. I bought the 23 KTM 390 Adventure SW. I've never had a big single that revved to 10,000 RPMs. It makes an awesome sound. Have fun riding Chris. I do love the motorcycle vids.

    Hello, what do you think of a 24 350 xcf as a first bike? Would like Cross courtyard riding, wide open trails in midwest for now, but also need it to work in AZ high desert. 46y, just want to cruise, nothing crazy.
    Sold on a 4t, and thought I’d 250/350 xcfw. Any thoughts?

      @@nathanshaw428 I got exactly the same! 24 350 Xcf. Still 0.2 hours on it it’s been in my garage for a month. Almost done installing new plastics as I know I’ll need them. Wasn’t planning on it, but seemed like a good first upgrade. polysport was 100-ish, exact fit.

    • @ChrisHornerCycling
      @ChrisHornerCycling  10 месяцев назад +1

      If you crash on the road bike you know it’s going to hurt a lot. If you crash on the dirt bike, most times it doesn’t hurt that much. 😜👍

      I have the 2024 250 xcf and use 17 clicks for enduro. I weigh 190 pounds at 58 years old. Great bike. Also great on the track.

      @@Rick40years Thx Rick, 17 front and back? And fast compression, how many turns out?

    • @Rick40years
      @Rick40years 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@goncalosilva15 I'm using 17 front and back for softer suspension. The clicks on the top of the front fork controls the preload, which makes the compression stiffer or softer. The clicker at the bottom of the front forks controls the rebound. You will want a faster rebound if you are racing or riding fast. Depending on your weight and riding style, you might want to just experiment. There is a 160 page manual online that briefly describes the settings. Have fun.
