For Genshin fps is actually quite similar. I got around 35 FPS in my recent test in the inazuma region with the s21 ultra SD 888. I’ll have to test the pixel in the same area to be fair. Inazuma is the most demanding region in the game.
Tensor is not fully custom like an apple soc. It uses 2 Arm Cortex X1 cores, 2 Arm Cortex A76 cores, and a quad-core complex of Arm A55 cores. For GPU it has Arm’s Mali G78 GPU cores. And a custom ISP for signal processing. so its not entirely custom. It is somewhat like the Samsung's exynos.
I think these games need to be optimized for the Tensor & GPU combination. Plus the phone isn't officially out until Thursday so there is still time for updates. The most gaming I do on my phone anyway is cloud streaming so I'm liking what I'm seeing.
@Od1sseas Mali GPU (20 Cores) that doesn't exist in any other phone. Also, there are two cortex X1 so if developers use both of them properly, it'll easily outperform all other chips with similar configuration
As with any new tech, its best to wait out. This being google very 1st custom processor means that it will take them time to optimize to its full potential. but if you dont game on your phone than Pixel 6 is a no brainer.
For all people saying that it needs optimization. Let’s get real the tensor cores are not custom made they are made by arm and already used in different SoCs. The tensor chip uses Cortex-A76 cores that are found in kirin 980, exynos 990, so theoretically everything is already “optimized” don’t expect anything more, maybe a ffew more frames and slightly better battery life, but software isn’t magic.

Also there's a claim that no benchmark optimized for Tensor, in my head is okay better numbers but by how much? Apple is in god tier and android is always 2 years behind when it comes to raw performance.
Apple can pump out expensive designs for their SoC because they are for internal use, and not really competing with others for pricepoint. They are actually larger than Android counterparts in terms of die sizes too. Helps with high IPC and much more proprietary features since they are vertically integrated. Tensor might be "custom" as well; but they are kinda like PS5/XBox processors where the core designs are derived from already existing commercial products, but just with more architectural tweaks to fit their use. Tensor uses core design largely same as Exynos 2100, though configuration of (2 + 2 +4) is different.

I love how RUclips wannabe "engineers" here in the comment section think they know more than the engineers of one of the biggest tech companies in the world. Only the best of the best work at Google.
Steer clear of the 1st gen Tensor chips. Wait for a year, Get the Pixel 5 instead with a SD Pixel Fans.
Hopefully with an update it will play better and more battery time...
Try running antutu Test 5 times back to back, Viola u have a oven now. Start cooking em breakfast eggs and bacon any where anytime.
Thanks for the video..is the 120 Hz of the Pro very different from the 90 Hz?
Thank you
Actually Exynos 2100 gets around solid 1050 in single and around 3300 on multi-core
Pixel gpu is even worse then snapdragon 855
@@luciferjohnson8495 It's not, go look up a review they ran of the GPUs, the tensor GPU did better than the exynos and SD888
@@chrisodell6107 actually it didn't in the video of garry it showed its worst then the snapdragon 855 I'm talking about the gpu not the cpu and its not the tensor gpu it's Mali
@@gospodintokarev it's not tensors gpu it's Mali it's arms gpu
@@gospodintokarev pixel is a phone. You said tencer gpu and cpu like Google made it from scratch like apple. They didn't they borrowed everything from exynos /arm. It's not a new chip it's just hype
The cases be giving Note 8 vibes on the 6 and 6 pro
Wait someone actually tested Pixel 6 on Vainglory
Had no clue the Pixel had its own Game Dashboard built into the software, that's awesome 😮
it came with android 12
@@emmanuelgxlden7170 hmm might have to switch back to Team Android then haha
@@justinma4539 same but i have always been team android but i'm currently on the Iphone Xr cuz i love testing devices but I have seen several Google pixel 6 & pro review and they are basically perfect for me there are some little flaws but not that annoying
How do you get all those gaming statistics? I would like to know how the performance is in Call of Duty Mobile Battle Royal. MP is not as demanding as Battle Royal.
Which apps you using for fps test???
Any word on if we can do ultra HD on pixel 6?? Wanna know before I get it. No use for me if it'll play just like my Google pixel 3XL
Has anyone tested gaming using a USB-C to HDMI cable? I typically play CoD Mobile on my monitor using an Xbox controller. I know this feature is missing in older Pixel phones. Did they include it here?
Isn't display out can run in usb 3.1 type c already? 🤔,I casually casting my mobile game thru type c -hdmi in 60fps with 15-20ms delay.
Why don’t you just play your Xbox…?
@@monke5198 because I play with my brother every weekend and he does not own a console or a PC.
@@gunturpasopatipamungkas2340 This is a feature that most USB-C phones have (including my Samsung Note 9 that I'm currently using) but it's missing in the latest Pixel phones. I'm hoping they changed that in the Pixel 6.
Hope I get an answer for this, does pixel 6 pro unlock 90 fps in either low or medium?
This is in line with my expectations
Who will buy pixel phone for serious gaming anyways most of the people should buy it for the camera that's it
kishi works with pixel if you remove the rubber bumps and use a thin case
Cod mobile has always been a very optimized game.
Agreed, even $200 budget phones can run the game smoothly
is 107 degrees considered normal? i've seen a few other reviews that also mention the

I have the pixel 6 pro and it does get very hot and the battery drains very fast

You should make tests of some emulators as well like dolphin, damonPs2,PPSSPP and egg NS emulators, please

The genshin performance is really dissappointing, i thought the low score on benchmark doesn’t really reflect real life use, but apparently it is
No genshin is game that makes a15 struggle
Which watch is he wearing?
I like the pixel 6 cus of the flat screen
It has a 20 core GPU. Most apps and games aren't optimized for Android 12 not the tensor chip. Still dont see a issue. I seen it okay emulators with no issue.
I consider pixel 6 soc is mid range performance
@@wandywan2444 that's what you consider. It benchmarks around the 888+ and 888 nothing mid-range about that. Plus it uses one more high-end X1 core then the 888. They is it to handle completely separate task. This won't show in the benchmarks. Besides benchmarks are so misleading. The reason my 4xl does some task faster then my s21 ultra.
@@Eazidosit just because it's got 20 cores doesn't make it good, for instance playing games on a 5950x with 16 cores will be great, but you'll also have 8 cores with nothing to do and 4 under pretty small loads and lowered clocks, plus is a mali based chip which don't have credit for being good and not a first choice for most devices... As far as optimization goes that's the only other area that's lacking but even still the gains may well be small, this chip was designed to work with android really well and do what Google wants their phones to do really well, like ambient computing, pre loading apps ect
@@fewik8567 it's obvious games were considered which is why it has a game mode. They highlighted what most users care about. Besides optimization is everything. If the game or any app isn't optimized it will run like crap. Developers have to do their part. The mali gpu in the 6 pro outperformed the gpu in the 888, eyxnos 2100, and kirin 9000. The snapdragon and others run these games with lower performance. You know it's optimization is the issue. The tensor cpu is more then lighty clocked lower for battery life which is why multi core is a few hundred points lower which is nothing. The gap between the GPU performance between the 888 and tensor is slightly larger like. The 888 gpu scores 5600and the tensor score 6600
@@Eazidosit I do not recall games being any part of their presentation, far more concerned about the camera and material you and the new features the assistant brings, my pixel 4 has had a game mode for quite some time, I already agreed with your statement that optimization does need to happen but don't expect a big improvement, games despite benefiting from multi core CPUs more and more still only need a 4c 8t product to run smoothly on desktop, adding cores doesn't just give you more performance, otherwise I'd be using a thread ripper or epyc with 64+ cores, I don't know why your so adamant this is going to be the strongest chip on the market or whatever it is your trying to claim but it's not, gaming never was and probably never will be a focus for google, they didn't once show Benchmarks or indicate it's ability to game or anything alike, just about every device has a game mode it's become more of a standard piece of software to implement, it just puts the phone on do not disturb and forces background apps using lots of resources to stop, nothing more
Pixel 6 pro keep stable those 120 hz in game??
on my 5, every game runs well but it's always locked to 90fps, y'all got a way to change this?? I feel like if the 5 and 6 are the same hz then there must be a way to unlock more frames because surely they can't be the same over a years difference - it's like saying the iPhone SE 2 is the iPhone 7
I love how the watch strap and buckle match the pixel
Was about to comment on his watch matching the phone
How well does the Pixel 6 run call of duty in battle royal?
Because in multiplayer every smartphone run better than in battle royal. It always has a better frame rate. So I wanna know if it's smooth on BR
That's my question to...
Genshin impact is an alien of a game.

why youtube 1080p60 look like @30 on this video playback ?
I think because it's a new phone usually CODM get 90fps in 120fps phone this has got only 60fps
What the f**k you mean it doesn't come with a charger. What a scam.
Not a gaming device bro
But this video will be useful to ask those gamers
Thank you and God bless
The Tensor cip is new and the apps aren't optimized for it yet, I'm sure after some months of updates it will perform better
I have one.
It's literally unusable for gaming due to heat and input precision.
iF you're moving, it's extremely precise. If you're static or trying to correct a small amount, like to control recoil, it won't work. Like at all. It's literally unplayable, despite solid graphic performance.
Also screen is locked at 60 Hz in COD:M.
Damn bro exactlyyy.. I was facing the same issue and I just bought the phone 2 days ago. I am really disappointed with gaming on this device. Wish I had seen your comment sooner
It's a brand new chip on a phone that's not even out yet. I'd wait until developers get a chance to update for the new chip before I judge. I think he should retest in a month or so
Devs don't update their apps for chips.. that's not how it works.
Do pixel 6 pro compare to iphone 13 pro
Also there's a claim that no benchmark optimized for Tensor, in my head is okay better numbers but by how much? Apple is in god tier and android is always 2 years behind when it comes to raw performance.
Well they're also made to push 2 completely different OS. Android is MUCH heavier
Both the same in real world usage.
Thanks for this
Shame the Razer Kishi doesn't fit. Can anyone suggest anything else for the pixel 6 pro?
why my game not add on dashboard on pixel 6 ??
Great video but it makes me uncomfortable when your sitting on slightly left side in frame
Its weird how they didn't use snapdragon
Since it's a custom chip it has to be optimized, I'm pretty sure that's all.
They've had years to do it and it's not like entirely custom cores or anything.. I just don't think Google can actually make a proper flagship ATM.
It’s a rebranded Exynos 2100 with custom ISP.
My dad got me a google pixel 6 a and i can confirm in my opinion its not suitable reasons
The touch sensitivity was so bad it made me want throw it the camera sets off my ocd
The edges have been no touch sensitivity meaning it won't work when pressed the phone is smaller which means less fov some phone cases make the phone uncomfortable to use the one i had, had no gaming feature's
But some good things to note
Good performance good fps good graphics and some games but i would recommend a better phone like Samsung Galaxy as they are bigger and better for gaming
You should try inazuma while Testing Genshin that’s more demanding
what is the website name game benchmarks
Does it get hot after gaming?
107°f, watch the video...
I already order my Pixel 6 and it will arrive tomorrow. BTW, it looks lag to me on Pubg, maybe I just go ahead to play Pubg on my iPad pro.
Ultra and 90fps only available for oneplus devices currently it's not the pixel (pubg mobile)
This chip isn't really a custom chip but I had say it is semi custom. Google uses the cpu cores and gpu from arm. Apple is the one that makes the custom chip.
In my opinion phone is not using the actual more cores....I think it is because of heat or something....on paper tensor is beast when it comes to real life its lacking behind...
I think that the games still have to be adapted to the new processor
That's not how it works...
Next time try Arena of Valor cause vainglory is pretty much dead, really hope for genshin it's just optimizations cause those numbers ain't much better than SD 855, pixel looking to be my next device but gotta see what Samsung and AMD cooking.
I'd have mine if google would hurry up and ship it. :(
Good review! there were have on iPhone that you couldn't change graphic settings on but good on Android. Does that mean it isn't compatible with other high end phones?
The gpu is astonishing but the CPU less
