- It's funny how this guy, Akira from Raideen and Ryoma from Getter they all have the same voice actor and these three are in Alpha 3. Their VA must be one of the oldest in the anime industry, a true living legend!

Akira Kamiya (who voiced Ryoma, Akira, Kazuya) also did the voice of the main character from Gaiking, along with Kenshiro, Kinnikuman, Ryo Saeba, Roy Focker, and etc. He's been voice acting since the 70s. He's probably my favorite VA of all time.

Me too. Akira Kamiya's voice is epic and so badass, I loved Asgard Saga from Saint Seiya when I got to know he was Siegfried de Dubhe, he was one of my badass and heroic characters! Dragon Bravest Blizzard!! (Doragon Burebesuto Burizaaaaadooooo!!)

Daimos is the originator of the Sooryuken before the shoryuken was given to Ryu and Ken in Street Fighter.
I'm one of the few fortunate enough to watch Daimos as a kid in its original Japanese audio back in the late 70s and early 80s. And I have no qualms in saying it has so much passion, guile and emotion. The English dub was horrible and didn't do it justice. Hearing Kazuya's battle cries and exclamations gives me goosebumps as well as inspires the fighting spirit in me whenever I hit the gym. Thank you Japan for a priceless childhood filled with inspiration and artistic creativity.
I'd love to see Daimos again the future games... kinda miss it's tune and all...
Yeah..unless it's a non-voiced game or someone remade Daimos, it's going to be difficult since Akira Kamiya (Kazuya's seiyuu) is retired.
SMAXZO they still have his audio recordings from previous games... if ever they'll need him, it'll only be for a few lines and not full dialogues...

@@SMAXZOy mate, facts. If we got a Daimos remake, then I felt like Katsuyuki Konishi can be Kazuya and if it's all possible enough, then we can imagine Suzuko Mimori as Erika.
i love the fire blizzard attack only because the first time i saw it when i was watching daimos on phillipine TV was when kazuya fought a very tough enemy and he has to freeze it first then melt its ass to get through its armor. i was still a wee bit young to trully understand english back then so its a bit hazy how that really happen but with how infrequent i watch daimos(due to the fact that i can barely understand it and sometimes i miss it because of school), i barely remember anything from the damn show but the awesome kill-cams. it really shows the robotic innards of the enemies and i love thise things when i was just a kid.
Hmm I kinda miss the Dai Ji SRT 4 Daimos "fist goight through metal" animation, that would have added a great touch to his final attack...

I have only seen the English dub of Daimos and maybe one episode of the original Japanese version so I am learning the names of these attacks for the first time and so far...I kind of prefer the English names. Normally I’m a sub only guy but the dub really grew on me, despite its cheesiness!

Too bad SRW A portable will be my only opportunity to play as him... I don't play non translated SRW... I am all for real robots but I have a soft spot to martial arts robots(soulgain and God Gundam too)

I don't know that Kazuya chad but just by his design I was sure he was voiced by Akira Kamiya.

why they always looks short and chiby?
that was the banpresto style robot animation. that was change since the z titles begin.
They're still chibi in the Z-series, but convey SIZE a bit better.
Cheaper license fee and easier to animate. Later games improved the proportions but SD will *always* be in SRW. Always. A lot of fans will be very upset if they got rid of it.
Also, it erases the canon sizes of the robots (Gunbuster is huge comparing to Mazinger Z). To be fair, they did non chibi versions for SRW Scramble Commander but I don't think it clicked given there are only two games about it.
