His advice isn't all the way correct. He's insisting on certain elements not every woman subscribes to. Submission for one. Not every woman is submissive, and that's just a fact. So go date a woman whose values mirror the ones you want, and shut up about the rest that don't have the same. So while he made a good decision getting a submissive wife, he has no business talking down on the women that aren't submissive. There's someone for everyone. There's men that need their women obedient, and serving if them, and that believe in leading. A category he belongs to. And there's women that believe in the same. They should marry one another. Then there's men that don't need women to be obedient and shrink themselves to make him feel like a man. Men that don't view women in their uncompressed element as a threat or as a "disruption to nature". That's who those women he's bashing work best with. Those women he called "impractical". He should let everyone make their own choices.

You can't bring activism in marriage
Benjamin Zulu is brilliant but I feel he is talking from another generation, he relates very closely with teenagers and post -teenagers of the 70/80s which I am myself. Now a mother of straight As university graduate, I feel he is a bit removed from the current times where love issues are approached from a 3D dimension. His generation which is mine too had preconceived ideas what a boy/girl can do or cant do. Times have changed girls approach boys they fancy, have boyfriends at younger ages, get straight As, get pregnant in education and this isnt the end if life. Girls pursue dreams relentlessly, may get hurt but again its not the end of life they crawl, stumble, walk and run. Akothee nows best. Sure, lets be realistic with the current times lets not pretend love issues are stagnant, same as it was when Zulu was teenager in grandmothers times.

I agree mostly with your observations but i rarely agree with your conclusions ... Go to the village and you will be surprised, a girl at 20 straight from high school is ready for marriage both physically, mentally and emotionally ... your conclusion only applies to Nairobi women and men
Seemingly acting older than your age does not mean you are ready for complexity in marriage. Further living in the village and the unique hardships existing means the girl has to work even harder to overcome those hardships hence mature brain is a necessity.
And who said age determines maturity

Environment is everything, environment molds people, in somalia at 16 girls are ready for marriage, they are trained from the age of 9. In coast women are trained to be wives .. therefore saying at 25 a man or a woman is not ready for marriage is misleading

Persons with capacity to submitting to marriage after attaining individual potential. Not just a matter of being trained into a role but defining the role from a point of choice and personal definition.

Benjamin talks alot of sence. It is interesting I got married at 20 through a church wedding. My husband was 28. I was still in college. By God's grace, I am still married to the same man. But I told my 15 years old daughter not to get married below the age of 25. My hubby was very patient with me.... I know what I am saying.....

Personally, I don't think there's any issue marrying a straight A's gal...we are all graced differently academically. Our intellectual capacities are also not the same. As long as you know what to do with that grade, (A,B,C,D,E,F) after school, you're on the right track. As it is, after high school, the school of life grades us all differently. E.g. I've seen straight A students make it big in life, while others can't make head or tail what to do with their A. I've also seen those who scored C's and D's etc. make it big as well, the route may be different, but they still make a good living for themselves. Character is not necessarily shaped by a grade, neither is a wife or hubby. You can have an arrogant and proud wife who got a D or A or an irresponsible, insecure man who got an A or D and the opposite can also be true.
