If you do a swag light, you can leave the existing hardwiring where it is, install a hook closer to your table and swag a light fixture over to center over it 😄
All you have to do is find the center where you want the light and install a hook with a hood anchor. Then bring the light over. You can change out the fixture if you don’t like it. Cheaper than hiring an electrician. They have extra chain at hardware stores.
Great result. You'll be so busy enjoying your beautiful new space the light won't bother you nearly as much... from a voice who had the same experience. 😁
Love your assistant lol... I love when your cat makes an appearance. I think your dining area turned out really nice, the pictures are so beautiful and I love the placement of them. I was going to suggest you can swag your light, I just noticed someone suggest it, it is a great idea. 🥰
I really like how you give encouragement to your viewer. Learning to live with one’s limits (financially) is really talked about or even encouraged in today’s society. Increased debt load will strangle your creativity and self worth. Thank you for encouraging financial responsibility. ❤
Thanks so much! I know social media can present such unrealistic standards sometimes, so it’s important to see real homes and projects that aren’t always 100% perfect.
I think your shelf styling looks great. Have you ever seen the ways people hang a new fixture in the existing place, but do it on a chain and then hang it over where they want it to be? It’s a good temporary fix until you get it done professionally.
Your dining area looks really nice! You are not alone in styling your shelves multiple times! I’ve been known to rearrange my shelves at night when my family has gone to bed. Love your videos!
Don't worry about light over table just put and use some beautiful candles. About anyone would just change the light for you and put up a flush mount. Hope this may help love your videos.
I would just swap out the hanging light for a flush mount light, put the table where you want it and add a hanging plug in light over where the table is appropriately located, or dispense with the hanging light idea all together and simply style the table with candles or some battery operated LED lights. I'm enjoying your videos because I really like how your make over projects turn out. Thanks for posting!
Good advice on moving forward even if a space isn’t perfect! Isn’t it ridiculous how one little quirk in a space can be so paralyzing? You have such a knack for shelf styling and I believe you are your worst critic! Lol The room looks amazing and the rug pulls it all together! Enjoy your new space! 😊
Thank you for the kind words! It’s so true, one issue can really make it feel like we can’t work on a space. I’m sure you’re right about the shelves- I never seem to feel like this piece is styled well 🫣
You might be able to put a hook in the ceiling and drape the light over some. At least it would be in the right place. I love the dining room. It turned out great. I have a whole lot of built in shelves in my living room around my tv. I change them all the time. So if I don’t really like what I have styled. I just change it up a few months later with whatever I have to put on them.
Looks beautiful! Thanks for the tip with the frames, never thought of that. Have you thought about maybe swagging the light? I have the same problem in my kitchen. Just a thought. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Thank you for sharing you're not alone I changed my styling each time I go or some time when I get something new that the best working then when it's right you know it have a wonderful day
If you change the light to one with a chain you can swag it over to where you would like it to hang. That would probably save a lot of cost and effort especially if you can thrift a new one.
Hi Chelsea 👋 Congrats on 12k ❤ the dining room looks so nice, love those chairs ! I had a similar issue in my hallway & i bought one of those clip on rattan pendants from Ikea it was pretty inexpensive & i turned out absolutely loving it.
🇬🇧 Don’t know how much it costs in America but it’s fairly simple and inexpensive in the UK to move a light fitting and so worth it. The room looks lovely, so welcoming.
Thank you so much! The other part of the issue that I didn’t mention in the video is that there are 3 different lighting styles in our ceiling in this room. 🤦🏻♀️ I’d like them all to be more cohesive so it’s probably at least 2 projects. I do hope it’s not super expensive like you said though!
Thank you! That is a consideration. We have another light in the kitchen that’s flush mount, but then there is also recessed. So right now we have 3 different lighting styles in one space 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Hiii friends! I don’t know why I avoided this space for so long over a light lol. Do you have a space in your home you’re avoiding?
If you do a swag light, you can leave the existing hardwiring where it is, install a hook closer to your table and swag a light fixture over to center over it 😄
This is definitely an option, but I have to replace the chain. This one is hanging by a thread 😅😂😂
All you have to do is find the center where you want the light and install a hook with a hood anchor. Then bring the light over. You can change out the fixture if you don’t like it. Cheaper than hiring an electrician. They have extra chain at hardware stores.
You’ve got a vibe going! Adding plants will add another layer of texture and dimension!
Your dining room is so beautiful! You have a special talent for making a gallery wall look amazing!
Great result. You'll be so busy enjoying your beautiful new space the light won't bother you nearly as much... from a voice who had the same experience. 😁
That’s a great perspective, thank you!
The experts say three things together…..I also like books on a table……great job girlie!

Thanks so much! I love having the boys in my videos too 🖤😺😺
A beautiful table runner would only enhance this stunning makeover! Congratulations
Thank you ☺️☺️
Love your gallery wall and the atmosphere of things you're drawn to❤
Thank you so much 🤗☺️

Thank you! Yes, totally know what you mean. I might have to get a new chain to try that- this one has seen better days 😂
Your dining area looks really nice! You are not alone in styling your shelves multiple times! I’ve been known to rearrange my shelves at night when my family has gone to bed. Love your videos!
Thank you, Karen! Shelves are so tricky sometimes 😅
I do the same 😂
Hi Chelsea, your dining room turned out beautiful 😍 and your shelf styling is on point IMO😊
Aww thanks so much! 🖤🖤
I love your beautiful dining room chairs. Unique.
Don't worry about light over table just put and use some beautiful candles. About anyone would just change the light for you and put up a flush mount. Hope this may help love your videos.
Thank you! I do love candles that’s for sure. ☺️

I love how your dining room turned out!!
Thank you so much!
I love it, especially the gallery wall. I’m trying to thrift antique frames. I’ve got 1 so far… lol
Thank you! I know it can take time to get a good group of frames together 😅

Just georgeous. I just love your style so much and can't wait for your videos 😘
The room looks great 😀
It's lovely and fresh. 🎉
Thank you so much! 🖤🖤
Lovely, I DO the same when styling a piece of furniture, I will finish it, and days later change the look by moving things! 😂😂
I’m glad I’m not the only one perpetually moving things around every few days 😂😂

Thank you so much! The chain isn’t the best, and it’s not very long so that might be hard. But, I appreciate the idea!! ☺️🤗🤗
Your room looks great...take care.

Your dining room looks great! I especially love your rug! May I ask where you bought it from? 😊
Thank you! 🤗 The rug is from Amazon. There is a link for it in the description box if you’d like to check it out.
@@thisgirlathome Thank you so much! I appreciate your reply. I don't know how I missed the link! 🤭

Thanks so much love! I’ll have to see if that could be an option for me. There are 3 different styles of lighting in the kitchen ceiling 😂😂😂
So pretty 😍 😊
Thanks lovely xoxo
Nice

Where are your dining chairs from?
They were thrifted
❤❤
Looks great !! What about swapping the pendant for a flush mount ??
