  • It has been a few days since my last update, but without much new info I haven’t made one until yesterday… hence the forgetfulness part. Enjoy.

I swore to myself I wouldn't respond to your videos after drinking craft beers...but I love craft beers, I'm off work tomorrrow, and I love me some Brett Simmons. You said to send stories and I remeber you telling us(Bob Gallo & I) about meeting Steff. Such a cool story except for the working-out-on-the-open-ocean-the-next-day part. Good things happen to good people. You're a lucky man Brett to have met her.
So...Brett, Bob & I worked on the American LeMans Series (sports car endurance racing) for 13 years, 2003-2016. So much fun!! We went to the coolest road courses America has to offer...Laguna Seca, Road America, COTA, Sebring, Road Atlanta, Mid-Ohio, Mosport(Canada), Long Beach, etc... and some very interesting places as well...Houston, Detroit, Baltimore. Our first race together EVER was the 12 hours of Sebring(Oh, THAT 12 hours of Sebring). Our Producer, Jim Roller, introduced our tape producer Brett Simmons, to Bob & I. Now, Bob & I sorta knew each other having worked a few events togther. Plus, my brother Lee lived & worked in television in Pittsburgh, Bob's home town. In walks this very tall bald dude with tats & piercings & ball bearings around his necks. Uhhh..OK? Brett worked for Wheeler TV & hadn't done a ton of remote work, at least not out of a TV production truck. But as soon as we all started talking, explainging this & that, we realized he knew his shit. And it only got better as time went on. We had so much fun...young TV crew of 50 or so professionals traveling the country, instant party on travel-days, I'm surprised my liver even functions to this day. Seriously, we had an amazing time.
Brett & I started talking about our personal lives...where you're from, how you grew up, have you travelked much? Brett told me he & his folks hadn't really traveled too much. I told him my Mother was a teacher & she planned our vacations every year. My Father had 6 weeks off from the steel company he worked for. I told him we're gonna see some amazing places this country has to offer. A few years go by, our schedule comes out for the upcoming year, and it includes the usual Laguna Sace race...followed by a race the next weekend in Portland Oregon! I looked at him & said, "we are gonna stay on the left coast & drive from San Fran to Portland, so get all your pre-pro done for Portland asap!" He did just that, our ops manager gave us a Mustang to drive, and we had an epic(in my mind) roadtrip. Redwoods, Pacific coastline, drinking in a logging town local bar & getting everyone to sing songs, Crater Lake Natiomal Park, volcano lava fields, freinds in Springfield OR, 100 mph. through central Oregon(trust me, no one around), Columbia River Valley west into Portland. So much fun...& we lived!!! I could go on...& on. So many stories, so many memories. Thank you BMF. You'll never realize the impact you had on my life. I'm sure Stef would agreee. Love the coffee cup, I'll work on getting your car back to your house, talk soon, SK
(how can we upload fotos to this website? would love to send ALMS pics (what is you, ig'nant? he said the phone in the limo is busted! (Trading Places))

Hello luvvie, I think being forgetful is a sign of intelligence, or perhaps, in my case, being over 50 😅 So pleased your Mum and Dad are coming up. If I was there I'd happily drive your car back, or drive you to the hospital. One of my first cars needed a double de-clutch manoeuvre.......nailed it 😂 I'm the same as you, don't like visitors when in hospital. See me when I'm better, not when I've got tubes coming out of everywhere! Much love as always, Stef xx

Thanks again for the v-log. I don't care if you don't have an earth shattering announcement, I just like to see your smile and hear your voice. Love you. Hugs and prayers as always. 💜🙏😘
