So did the clockspring need to be replaced to fix the horn issue? I am having the same issue and no one seems to have a fix. I was originally looking into doing the TIPM but thank God i found your video cause now I’m second guessing it. So was the wire just shorting and that’s it or does the clock spring need to be replaced in order to fix it?

Jim Gangi , not the clock sorting no. It’s that plastic square piece with the little ribbon. Usually easier and cheaper to get a whole steering wheel with it all still in it. You can use a avenger,200 or liberty one as well as a journey.

So what was the actual fix for the horn going off randomly? It sounds more like the alarm going off, parked or driving, and kills the battery

Jim Gangi , that plastic horn ring would short against the steering wheel at the top corner so basically every time you turned the wheel, it’d get closer and eventually contact it and blow the horn

Wish I read these comments before replacing the clock spring...🥲. That little horn ribbon on the back of the mount causing so many headaches. Poor design for sure.
