BAM first comment! Haha! Hey, did anybody ever win that painting giveaway? I haven't been able to figure out if so or not. And so far, loving this video and certainly kickass idea, thanks!
Just came across your site and subscribed, I haven’t as yet created a website for my art, I’m doing incredibly well as a RUclips artist, I started with 100 subscribers in February 2019 and now I’m just under 44,000 and making a good income from my channel with add revenue. What would be the benefit of me having a website as a RUclips artist? Love your abstract awesomeness
Thanks Gilly; much appreciated. For you the opportunity for attracting an additional revenue stream is huge considering the size of your audience already. How many raving fans would like the opportunity of buying a print or an original? Or other merchandise with your beautiful creations? For me these two things go hand in hand. Hope that helps...
Amazing. I'm right in the middle of setting up my website so this is dead handy! I'm using a pretty limited platform because it's paid up for the next 14 months from my last business but this video is really helpful. Thanks. (Perhaps when I have something worth checking out, you would be willing to check it out and give an opinion?)
Love your rolodex analogy. It speaks to older people like myself who actually know what they are (were). In terms of key search words, is it a matter of using all of them in one sentence somewhere on my website? In other words, does there have to be at least one sentence chock full of descriptors embedded in the text of my website somewhere for Google to pick it up? Or does it only pick up the most frequently used terms in my text, whether they are used in the same sentence or not? Or is this something you cover in the videos to follow?
Please don't do that! if you try to spam in all your words somewhere Google will recognize that and penalize you. Instead look for a more holistic approach. Use keywords to determine the tone and writing on your page so that you can concentrate on making it relevant to them. Use them in your titles and descriptions too. But write naturally, not with the search engines in mind. If you search for the Google Beginner Guide to SEO you will learn a lot.
You should be using keywords to define yourself to begin with then forming what you do around that. Most often you'll need a page title and page description and you content/website dashboard should allow you to input this somewhere. Construct them wisely and search online for tips on how to create page titles and compelling descriptions. That would be a great place to start!
Where do you get your freestanding art stands for display. I was planning on building something similar outbof wood, but those would work well. I wanted to do art shows at hotel venues that would not intrude or damage walls.
What do you suggest if I have a goal to offer larger paintings than what I currently have. Also if I have some paintings as nature and some abstract what you suggest to combine them
If you want to do larger paintings then I'm not sure what to suggest other than buying larger canvases and painting them...! That's all I did. Apart from space to work and store what else is stopping you? If you paint in multiple genres why do you want to combine them? I don't understand what you mean sorry. If you have clear distinctions between your work then simply reflect that on your site/media accounts/photographs and categorize/organise and describe them appropriately. That's only my opinion of course. Hope that helps!
@@SwarezArt Sorry to confuse you. Yes, I am working towards doing larger paintings, clearing space to do so etc. What I meant was for the page with the description of what my art is. My art is not just one category, I have a range of sizes and a few different mediums with a goal to do large canvases of nature or abstracts. I have several mediums and I have printed some of my art onto products. To me the categories make sense. How do you respond to those who say one category or type of art only?
Exactly the same. Ask yourself what it is you do and what services you provide. Composer: what do you compose for? Events? Film/TV? Backing music? Specialist areas? Instruments? Musicians: instruments played? Travel service? Composing? Commissioned scores? Session work? Production?
