Vietnam's MEKONG Food | BONE MARROW Hủ Tiếu Mỹ Tho + Exotic Fruit Market

  • I have been meaning to make this video series for a very long time!
My Tho Market- The first of the Mekong series is going to come form My Tho. A place about an hour and a half south of Saigon.
My Tho Fruit Market- Famous for its traditional morning market full of every fruit imaginable. I got to taste a variety of fruits which I had not eaten before, plus explore the rest of the market. Make sure to come in the morning if you want to see it at its peak level of business! Just a note as well this isn’t My Tho Market but instead a more traditional market mainly for fruit.
Just north of the hu tieu restaurant (address below)
Hủ tiếu Mỹ Tho- After the market, I headed right outside to eat some famous Hu tieu. This place has been open for more than 60 years and after eating a bowl of this hu tieu, I quickly realized why. A little different from all the Hu tieu nam vang I am used to seeing in Saigon. The broth is a little lighter, but that is until you get a huge bone filled with bone marrow butter. About as decadent as it comes and worth a stop in the city just to try this iconic bowl of noodles.
10 Trần Quốc Toản, Phường 7, Thành phố Mỹ Tho, Tiền Giang, Vietnam
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just a guy from Arkansas chasing his dreams of traveling the world, meeting amazing people, and trying all the delicious food I can find!
I am from a small farm in the states, I am now taking advantage of the opportunities I have to travel the world in search of some of the most delicious foods, unique places, and friendliest people.
A lover of street food, good laughs, and learning about other cultures. I hope to indulge in all these things and more as I bring you along with me on my epic journeys.

Vietnam is the world's top exporter of fruits and agricultural products because of its favorable natural conditions. Vietnam and Brazil are the two largest coffee exporting countries, Vietnam and Thailand are the two largest rice exporting countries. Vietnam has dozens of ethnic communities and the center of the Asian region, so the culinary diversity is very diverse, with the intersection of Chinese and Indian cultures.

You can make "rau càng cua" salad, very juicy, sweet and yum.
You'd need a big pan, oil , beef ( slices ) and fish sauce.
Add oil and fish sauce first, then add a bit of water then you put beef in there and low down the fire, then turn off fire after 8-10 seconds.
Then u wait for cooling the pan for 2-3 minutes, put the "rau càng cua" into the pan then add lime juice, sugar ( 2 spoons ) , salt ( 1/3 a spoon ), then mix all the ingredients ( slowly to not break the plant texture ).
Enjoy with "nước mắm ớt tỏi" ( chili&garlic fish sauce ) , with peanuts if u have.
x10 times better when you eat with rice.

the milk apple, you cut a small hole on the top, get a teaspoon, scoop it out and eat is thes best way to eat it. They have different texture, soft of the meat, crunchy chewy from the part that covering the seed. And ofcourse, give it a nice massage before u eat to release all the milk.
