Absolutely. I agree Ermes has trained way harder & longer for this fight but what shocked me that Matt having just trained 6 weeks or so, could pin this Stronger version of Ermes once atleast.
The refs manipulated their entire bodies right into the actual pulling..the rounds that matt lost the refs had him starting more opened up while ermes was starting fully tight/close to body. Not saying it was intentional but basically you could see he was gonna lose based on their relative starting positions before the rounds even started

Anyway Matt gave credit to Ermes and said the better man won that day and thanks to Ermes it lit a fire in him to train harder and get stronger. Matt plans to continue training and plans to reach 275- 280lbs. He has the frame to do it imo at 6’5. Other than that Matt and Ermes are two great athletes.
