- Dropping in to Waffle Haus in Christchurch, New Zealand to take on their legendary Waffle Eating Record Challenge! Extremely hungry breakfast lovers have 1 hour to eat as many waffles as possible in an attempt to break the current record! The All-You-Can-Eat Waffles cost $30NZD, but record holders earn their meal for free, a $50NZD Gift Card, and a proud spot up on the Waffle Haus' Wall of Fame!

Katina i knew you could easily set a new record I never doubted you. Testing yourself by doing 13 in my opinion was a good thing because it showed that you have made major progress as a competitive eater.
I'm headed to New Zealand next month and after watching you and Randy do this challenge I've added it as a must stop and try for my vacation keep up the amazing content.

Even with the yummy factor (and waffles are hands down superior to pancakes by the by) I would have struggled with 1 1/2. Actually I would have tapped out at one once it settled.
Each one of those waffle blocks feels like 2 kilos once it hits the belly. It's a delicious lead cannonball.
After one, I would have laid down and requested to be rolled to my car. 😂😂

Waffles and pancakes are not worth eating without lots and lots of real (softened or melted) butter imo. Lol. Not a big chunk on top like in pictures, either. Lol.
I just dont get all these places serving their waffles or pancakes without butter. So strange to me. Ive always been served lots of butter with them at restaurants.
Butter buffers the syrup, makes them taste much much better, makes them easier to swallow, and you dont need near as much syrup. Keeps you from feeling really gross from too many carbs.
