    On rewatching this I can't help but think the same thing as the first time I saw it.
    It's like he started in the stone age, built simple huts and houses, learnt a few skills, made some really nifty primitive stuff, and suddenly he's building in brick and concrete.
    Brick and concrete that he made himself I remind myself, and in the next bunch of videos he turns what began as a stone age survival situation into something like a holiday resort. Hell, I'd pay good money to stay there over some hotel.
    Kudos on you, man. 10/10, would survive the apocalypse.

    Best survival video-series ever. Would be nice to know the names of rocks and mixes. And don't worry, you can upload 200 parts and I would still be watching them with pleasure.
    Kindest regards,

  • @ShawnBean

    Excellent workmanship, especially considering that you are not using any metal tools! And don't worry about how long this project is taking; lime is indeed a game-changer in primitive societies, but it can't be rushed. It takes a long time to set up and cure. Of course, once it has cured, it lasts for hundreds of generations.
    Looking forward to your next video. I especially want to see how you construct the roof over your clean water tank.

    May I suggest using some type of sealant (resin) to coat the inside of the clean tank to waterproof it, in order to preserve the water better. You will have to go inside the tank once again and apply this manually to the walls carefully. Take care.

    • @g.v.m7935
      @g.v.m7935 6 лет назад

      Edy's Adventures I always wonder where can you find such natural resin material in a area like his, im interrested in knowing that.

    • @edyvanea
      @edyvanea 6 лет назад +1

      There are numerous plants that secrete sap/resin and you can experiment with them in many ways. In my area the most commonly found is the pine resin. Also you could use things like animal fat, beeswax, fatwood pitch or even coal tar. By trying out various bonding powders (maybe something like ash) you can create a paste which hardens when dries and stays hard when it gets wet again (a bit like plastic). I'm just speaking from my knowledge and experience, but with some research, I'm sure you can find loads of ways to waterproof materials in the nature. I hope this helps. Stay safe.

    Primitive Life Btw I was thinking about most of you guys out there making these videos,
    does not make foundations underneath structures.
    Is it because you cant build foundations by law in you area?
    Or is it because it has to be easy to demolish if you move from that spot?
    Btw how does it work in your country do you own that land can you just build what ever you want?
    If anyone else can answer my question feel free to do so, i wanna learn.🤓
    I wish i had the rules of your country,
    For building on our land we had in Holland.
    For every shed you need permit this permit that,
    or if your land is farming destination you have to change its destination plan if you would wanna build a house instead on the land you have and it will cost money.
    And the people in the city hall can reject it if they think its not needed.

    некоторые моменты немного смотрятся не логично, например накладывание смеси какой то маленькой дощечкой, хотя вполне удобнее делать это более широкой или например носит он в этом горше от реки, где река хз как далеко, он мог спокойно сделать коромысло и таскать в два раза больше, у него куча камней возле реки, какой смысл тратить раствор на изготовление блоков, если он может выложить все из камней...

      Saying “humanity” did is a bit of a stretch.
      It was German scientists.
      Countries like India are barely at the same point after 70 years, and they are following in others’ footsteps and using computer models and simulations to get there.

    You have done A LOT in 7 months! Beautiful builds :)
    I see many other primitive builders are using live plants to decorate their houses by putting the plant into fresh, wet clay formed on house wall. I wonder if the grasses/plants will grow in solid clay. :(
    I appreciate your attention to detail and how you show enough in your videos that we can also build many things you do - if we have the raw materials. So I am wondering IF YOU are thinking of making a garden for you and your birds?
    I would use outside of chicken coop to grow vine foods - so chickens can eat food on inside and you eat food from outside :)
    Also IS there a way to grow plants (air plants / bromalades) ON a house wall? I think a simple, living structure would be a beautiful addition to your home.
    Have a great day and keep up doing such great builds/videos - I think YOU honor the Primitive Technology channel excellently!
