The skill on show is rediculous. People pay thousands to see a bunch of clapped out musicians play songs heard 1000000's of times (Freebird! Sandman!) when an aging surrealist comedian can whip together an ensamble piece of entertainment like this played for goofs, but also knocks your socks off. I'd go to a Judas Priest, or Black Sabbath (One last time we mean it, totally final) concert if Bill Bailey was event organiser and Compare.
12 years after it appeared here, I've just discovered this. Better late than never. Absolutely epic, fantastic video. Shows the true joy that comes from performing music together and proves that different cultures can come together and have the most brilliant time together

lol i love how Bill is playing a Rogue, which is one of the cheapest sitar-guitars you can buy. No matter, he still plays deftly. And the actual sitar player is brilliant, i'd say his finesse is on par with the Shenkars absolutely virtuosic.
Was really good to see the backing group really get into the swing of this and enjoy themselves without feeling that Bill Bailey was taking the piss out of them.
Paul Walters The frisson of pure joy when you get to participate in something spontaneous and collaborative and bloody *good*. You can see it in their faces, it's so great.
