The skill on show is rediculous. People pay thousands to see a bunch of clapped out musicians play songs heard 1000000's of times (Freebird! Sandman!) when an aging surrealist comedian can whip together an ensamble piece of entertainment like this played for goofs, but also knocks your socks off. I'd go to a Judas Priest, or Black Sabbath (One last time we mean it, totally final) concert if Bill Bailey was event organiser and Compare.

This man never ceases to amaze me. He crossed a cultural barrier that has been around for hundreds of years through music and sheer joy, which is so infectious that everyone around him can't help but feel it as well.
lol i love how Bill is playing a Rogue, which is one of the cheapest sitar-guitars you can buy. No matter, he still plays deftly. And the actual sitar player is brilliant, i'd say his finesse is on par with the Shenkars absolutely virtuosic.
Music used to unite. Love it. Had some Indian colleagues over when a band named Bloodywood was in my suggected, thought what the heck, likely trash but give it a go. Absolutely awesome, Metal with Punjabi influence. One of their motto t-shirts 'Divided by borders, united by metal.' There are enough people out there telling us to isolate. It's brilliant to see anyone calling for collaboration.
Not being funny, but there was a pub in Wolverhampton that was owned by an Indian family. They kept good beer, served great curries and the music sounded like this.....
12 years after it appeared here, I've just discovered this. Better late than never. Absolutely epic, fantastic video. Shows the true joy that comes from performing music together and proves that different cultures can come together and have the most brilliant time together
Was really good to see the backing group really get into the swing of this and enjoy themselves without feeling that Bill Bailey was taking the piss out of them.
