What's a better setup a pair of Pioneer XDJ-1000 players with a Pioneer DJM-900SRT mixer, a Pioneer DDJ-SP1 Midi Controller and a Pioneer RMX-500/1000 (I don't know which is better) or a pair of Pioneer XDJ-1000 players with a Rane 62 mixer, a Pioneer DDJ-SP1 Midi Controller and a Pioneer RMX-500/1000?
My RMX is stuck in what looks like "midi" mode or something. The only options on display are "btN" or "trG" or "CH". I can't get the RMX to go back into standard mode. Tried to update firmware but when I follow your steps and hold "HOLD" and "TAP" and turn it on it just stays in this current mode. ANY help is appreciated
Hey Pulse, have the rmx connected via USB to laptop, got my SD card inserted into the laptop, added the RMX2200.upd to the memory card, do i add it back to rmx before trying to update firmware? Or does the firmware update from laptop and sd via usb then add the sd card when its complete? stuck on 1.31.
Hi I can't hear any RMX effects in my Headphones...can U help me with that...I have connected it to DJM 900 send and rerun ,tried dmx output to speakers also.... I can hear the DJM 900 effects in headphones but not RMX Thanks
That would depend on the mixer and the routing of the send/return; some will send and return the audio pre-fader (like an insert) whereas others will send the audio post fader, so then the effects would also be post.
HELP PLEASE! using djm 800 and send /return feature. 1: should you have your efx button on the djm turn on all the time or just when using the rmx? Because THE PROBLEM IS that when you turn off or on the rmx by pressing efx button on djm , THE SOUND CHANGES a little bit, but it can be noticed and it is LOW QUALITY SOUND , and a bit quieter, but even if you turn rmx output a bit more it is louder but sounds bad. Not as original. Does anyone have this problem? And how to solve this? Thanks!
King Kong I'm getting the same problem actually on my mixer right when I hit the effects on button I have a formula sound FF 4000 it makes a slight pop sound what you can hear every time you engage the effects on switch I mean that's completely useless it that's the case you know it's going to be hearing that shit
Hi I was wondering if you might know reasons as to why my SD Card won't be recognized. Its brand new out of the package but no matter what I do it doesn't show it on my PC (win 7). Does this mean I won't be able to update the device? Thank you if you can shed some light on this, thanks!
Hello,I just got this bad boy updated firmware and software,everything works,but when I turn it on and the SD card is inserted and or detected,it opens windows media player which starts scanning the wave samples and it plays them.why is this happening and how can I stop this wierd reaction?
+mastertracker510 > You probably have Windows Media Player configured to automatically mount and start playback from those devices when media files are found. Try this link to see if the instructions help in disabling the auto play: bit.ly/1PGTc1r
Sorry, this assumes you already know how to connect a send/return to your mixer - as many mixers use different types of send/return, or have none at all, it's up to your setup, this is more about the levels and firmware than the actual in/out cabling.

You need to put the firmware file on the SD card and then perform the update on the RMX itself with the SD card in the RMX.

@Navid > What is the SD card type / capacity? SDHC are supported, but SDXC are not, and they should be formatted to FAT32.

No, you need to bring your own cables. I recommend just regular ol' 1/4" TS (not TRS).

where does the USB connect to on the mixer I'm gathering?
The RMX-1000 does not connect to the mixer via USB, you have to use the audio connections.

The USB connects between the computer and RMX for updating the firmware or using it as a controller for the software plugin.
You show the connections to the RMX and you do not explain where do these cables come from....

its too loud without sending to a dedicated return channel. :(
Just turn down the output level.
Pulse yep then the volume changes when send/return channel is engaged/disengaged (on Rane MP2015)
@@wpf312 As demonstrated in the video, if you adjust the in/out levels on the RMX you can get it so the level doesn't change on the mixer.
