Thanks a ton for this video. I ran through all the pioneer/serato documentation and i couldn't find those button presses anywhere. It's a great feature as I don't want to replace stems with any feature on my pads. Keep up the great vids!

Great video. I've got the REV7 arriving soon so this was really helpful. Thanks for demoing the EQ stems feature. Would be great to see a text overlay of what you were doing during the demo as the effects were quite subtle. Oh, and your studio setup is dope!

Oh mayn, they gave the sauce to the REV 7 now LOL. I was hoping they did, and in future updates for the DJM S7 and S11 mixers to have the same Stem EQ feature. That is a feature i use over and over on my Rev 5. Good video, subscribed now, looking forward to your future videos.

It’s pretty great. I played out with it Saturday night and was impressed. Stem levels is a feature I was jealous of in Virtual. Here’s to hoping they add it or at least make it midi mappable on the S11.

Would love to try out the stem EQs, but I use tidal a fair amount and I like using stems on them, if I update it will go!

Yo, they need to bring Stem EQs to the DJM-S11 mixer for real. That mixer costs so much money it should have all of their top of the line tech. I'm sure it has to be possible when using Serato in DVS mode. Get on it Pioneer!

this makes me excited almost bought a rev 5 for those features. no need now since pioneer has updated the firmware. How long have you been running the updated versions?
The day they dropped I used em for a while, made the video and then put the rev7 away since them to be honest. I usually keep my techs and s11 out here in the studio.

Thanks for this! Thinking about getting a Rev 7 soon but I seen people complaining about different things about it and saying its over rated for the price so now Im not sure. Have you had any problems with it?
My pleasure man. Thanks for watching! Honestly, I love this thing and I NEVER thought I would say that about a controller. For me (a 20 year turntable user) its by far the most fun controller to play on and thats important to me. No problems as of yet.

Okay, so I have an unrelated question. I just got the rev 7, and it's up to date with firmware and everything. But I noticed i can't select relative or internal mode when I'm using serato dj. Am I missing something?
Hey! Yeah so Relative is for DVS. When using your Rev7 serato should be in internal mode just like in this video!

I'm having issue on utility settings where time mode keeps reverting to elapsed and the 33/45 RPM keeps reverting to normal when switching to long press. Any idea on how to fix this?
Hey - yeah unfortunately that is an issue. Pioneer is aware and it should be addressed in the next firmware update.
VirtualDJ users hv been using this feature with the eqs on even the beginner controllers from day 1. So why is serato limiting which controllers can use it?
I have a feeling that going forward most if not all pioneer controllers / mixers will have the ability. I spoke to an alpha theta dev about if it was coming to the S7/9/11 mixers and was told no due to hardware incompatibility.
Bro i have a question , why my left deck sometimes stops rotating it happens 1 time on maybe 2 months . Its that a problem of the energy at the place a play or is a defect in rev 7 ?
Oooh good question! Do you only noticing it happening at a certain venue? That happened to me recently actually. The power in the venue couldm't hold up and my turntables were unusable because they weren't getting enough power to properly rotate!.

Absolutely - Ive played pretty much exclusively on technics turntables since 2002. The rev 5 was my first controller I ever bought. I really missed spinning platters and pioneer on board effects.

I think I noticed that as well but I put the controller away right after making the video! I'm wondering if somehow saving things in the setting utility can fix that?
@@djdoubledown Yes when you restart the machine and the laptop it does work. Am loving it tho am seeing many people still having problems with Rev7 mine has never given me any problems now or b4..

Honestly, I need the spinning platters and pioneer onboard effects. The Rev 5 Is a great unit and terrific bang for buck value, but its just not for me!

A bit yes.
What does “low speed stabilization” do?
A stability improvement I suppose! I haven't noticed any difference there however I'm not often playing at very low speeds.
