Cool, autistic and trans, me too. 🤗 It's always nice finding others on RUclips. You're pretty brave keeping comments open. I always disable mine. My sensory issues are pretty minimum tbh. Like it's only Casinos and people smoking that really get to me.

I have autism too and I struggle with sensory needs. I couldn't get the vaccine because I'm so shit with needles, one point I needed filling in my teeth and they numbed my gumline so I wouldn't feel it, I had no idea that it involved an injection and I was still feeling really offput after coming out. More prominently, however, I cannot wear shirts otherwise I just don't say anything. My mum reckons that it's from an incident in infant school where the staff tried to forcibly change me, honestly she pulled me out of that school early because of how appalling they were with me and I didn't have a school for a few months after that. But anyway, they had to adapt my uniform in secondary school, and now I'm at that age where I'm about to go into work I don't know if I'll be able to overcome it it still affects me today.

Tell you something else I realised last night, so my dad took me out to eat and I found myself struggling to get comfortable and I kept rush eating. I do understand that it may be the seating position as I'm not used to sitting up straight properly, but I think also that it might be another sensory thing from the atmosphere. When I went to use the loo, I felt a sense of relief as I was away from all the noise. I also remembered those times people would tell me I was speaking too loudly as I would perceive myself as quiet despite them being able to hear me just fine. I actually asked dad if I was doing that last night as I felt like I had, but he said I wasn't. But over all, it's little things like that that you need to actually realise you should be managing better.
