    Jack doesn't know but he might if he sees this. Cornell is one of the most depressive/harming schools. At least it was 20 years ago. I went to clarkson and heard stories of that place through a few school mates. One of which went there. It was stacking bodies. There is little sun in middle/west and north in NY. In general. Friends from rochester were all very depressed in winter. Yes that school is tough for sure. Way more prestigious than my pea brain school. If only i knew when going to school why i was gaining 10 lbs per year while working out fairly consistent. 2001 was the start and cell phones were becoming more common, i had one and stuck it to my head 20-30 min a day. The phone was on fire at the end of the call and about dead.
    Thanks for teasing out more of the fine man Jack. I can't get enough.

    This is interesting stuff and I don't disagree with the majority of it, but some stuff doesn't quite add up- how can we evolve to thrive on Icelandic water and equatorial sun at the same time? Should all the NLRTC guys move to Tempe for a more optimal environment? That seems to be where elite wrestlers go to stagnate.... Dagestan is doing pretty well on the 43rd parallel all things considered- maybe its their stronger Mitochondrial DNA...

    • @NickMarshallMusic
      @NickMarshallMusic 23 дня назад +5

      Icelandic water and equatorial sun both deplete duetrium, optimising mitochondria

    • @MeansJustifyEnds
      @MeansJustifyEnds 22 дня назад +3

      @@NickMarshallMusic Yes, and Brawndo has electrolytes, I know. My point was that his "you've evolved for this to be optimal" doesn't quite hold unless he means that mythical ancestors could sun bathe on the Equator all day and then quench their thirst on one of the poles later. Gotta pick one. I don't dispute the benefits of 90% of what he's saying but some of his rationale needs to be a little more fleshed out. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a crypto timeshare presentation to attend. 😂

    • @dylle8262
      @dylle8262 22 дня назад +4

      @@MeansJustifyEnds i would recommend you listen to him more on other pods, he addresses a lot regarding your questions. Has do with your mitochondrial haplotype. Europeans typically have an uncoupled haplotype - an adaptation that allowed their ancestors to survive after migrating from the equator in a low uv yield and cold environment. Long story short, their biology has adapted to thrive in the cold, so if you were to be of an uncoupled haplotype, there would be advantages to you training outside in the cold, and even moreso in a volcanic environment (more magnetism). Northern latitude spring water is also deuterium depleted and deuterium is a heavy hydrogen which slows down atp production in the mitochondria. So lower deuterium, better mitochondrial function, more energy. The thing is, because we all came from the equator originally, so even uncoupled haplotypes have the software so to speak to live and adapt to equatorial environments as well.

Probably one of the few countries that compete in wrestling outside, no matter the temperature or weather and they're mammoths of men. Another note, hes definitely right on the money with grounding and the lack there of in today's world. That's why im taking a massive shift to emphasize my training outside. My strength work will be inside since thats where all the equipment are at, but running, conditioning, wrestling, will be outside and barefoot

    To discuss an idea one needs to be cool calm and connected to explain the ideas and concepts of others but we discover it by seeking why ? No need for shouting nervousness and mixing the ides and become confused. Com. Sorry to say this shouting irritates my meditative mind and gentle ears . Shouting is not healthy and indicates sympathetic nervous system stimulation and high cortisol. Walk the talk and be model for self and others. We are not quarrelling and competing but be positive and no judgement.Please please quiet and learn emotional intelligence. Nothing is new under the sun and if you find it it is not yours or mine.

      For your own sake put down your ego and listen. Who cares if he is a bit rough around the edges.

My aim was please we want to understand these big good ideas which are lost in what you call roughness of the edges. The intention was good. Thanks

      I discovered him 4 years ago and WOW OH WOW has he revolutionized the way I think and fits like a puzzle perfectly with what I do as a stem cell activation specialist. Especially since we use photobiomodulation as the mechanics to effectuate that. He's brilliant at explaining photobiomodulation.
