Green Lantern Front Row POV Warner Bros. Movie World Australia | 120.5° Drop!
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 14 июл 2023
- This is the 3rd steepest coaster in the world, only missing out on the #1 spot by one degree! Green Lantern sends you over a 120.5° first drop, and into several outer banked turns and inversions! It's one of the El Loco models from S&S Worldwide, but unlike the others, this one features 4 across trains!

Usually roller coasters are all about speed but I love how slooooww this one looks. Those inversions look to hang you there for an eternity
Ever heard of something called hangtime
@@Goliath146yeah I did, and I always wondered why so few coasters feature it. I mean come on! It cannot be that difficult from an engineering point of view to make an inversion and just keep it for a few seconds!
@@JustRememberWhoYoureWorkingFor nah a lot of them feature it
Just like the real green lantern movie too
I’ve been on it and it’s so fun
I love the design of this coaster in such a compact area, and it actually looks really fun without relying if high speeds and extreme heights!
I wish this was more popular then wild mouse.
Wild mouses are underated.
But this is more of intense ride than wild mouse coasters.
Wild Mouse coasters are more popular among companies because they're family-oriented rides. An El Loco is an enthusiast's model, but because of its design it doesn't really have the stats to attract the GP. So a lot of park owners overlook them.
@VestedUTuber Probably not in terms of laterals.
@@maxhagenauer24they cannot be underrated, they are at almost every park, in fact they are overrated if anything, it’s impossible for them to be underrated when they are that common.
This genuinely looks incredible and it’s packed into such a small space. I’m impressed!
This one is for sure on the bucket list. That looks so different and unique. Also, INSANE that it fits in such a tight area.
It’s so good, I went a little bit ago, would recommend all of the coasters there
this is just such a fun and enjoyable ride at the park, not too intense but still a good thrill
As someone who’s been on this ride many times, it’s defs worth the 30min wait. The inversions feel like an eternity
WOW, this is the only Green Lantern named ride that looks worth a damn, color me shocked and surprised, as this looks pretty fun and scary.
That looks like a ton of fun even not being super intense. Those out banked turns are bonkers
Can't go wrong with El Loco, awesome little coaster
This looks brilliant. Man, I love roller coasters, I don't get to ride them nearly enough.
The way it shows you the drop before launching you down it omfg
I love the air times and the sharp turns on this ride
Fun ride! Not too intense for the GP but still has plenty going on for enthusiasts to enjoy. Overall a great addition to any park.
Wonderful job on this POV.
Looks good I've always wanted to ride one of these
This is the real life version of the knex roller coasters we all built as kids
Wild Mouse evolved into ENRAGED RAT
It reminds me of El Loco at Adventuredome sooo I LOVE IT
That's because it basically is El Loco. This is a standard El Loco layout.
I always go on this ride. I'm usually not a fan of drops on rollercoasters but this ones so fun
This is an exact copy of Mumbo Jumbo at Flamingo Land
This looks amazing 😯
This is the nicest coaster I´ve seen so far. Greetz
Never seen one of these with that type of Gerstlauer-style trains. Very cool.
loved this rollercoaster! also if you’re afraid, don’t be, after the drop, it’s pretty fun!
I went to this exact park 4 days ago! All the rides are super fun and I really loved this one! The funnest in opinion would have to be the big joker one.
This looks sick!
I did took this ride when I was in goldcoast ! It does brings back memories!
Same
Amazing and enjoyable roller coaster
Looks awsome
It's exactly like Steel Hawg in Indiana, only a different color.
It's an off-the-shelf model from S&S called the El Loco. There are many across the world. Green lantern is the only one with lap bars though so it's considered the best one
Every time I go to movie world that is always my favourite ride. It looks all intimidating but once you get on it’s one hell of a rush
Way better than Magic Mountain's Green Lantern
Facts
I’m glad it got torn down and replaced with an actual good ride
I legit think a wacky worm is better then that pile of trash
Tbh six flags green lantern is good, it has potential but due to standing up it HURTS
@@koshii959 that’s the one at great adventure
One of the most underrated rides in Australia. On par with superman escape imo and much more unique with better restraints
Looks fun to me!
Impressive ❤
This is very similar to El Loco in the Adventure Dome in Vegas. I love it.
Done a Clone of this Ride and Loved it!
Since the Green Lantern's power is from courage/willpower, it makes sense this ride has some pretty intense moments for a wild mouse.
I was there the nostalgia😊
This is the scariest color themed roller coaster. When I was younger, I went on those type of rides at Allentown's Dorney Park in the USA. I survived each drop on the roller coasters.
This model would make a good indoor roller coaster with some theming
if only these coaster types were more popular
Looks like fun
as someone whos been on this ride, i truly recommend it as it is now too fast but still has thrills
I love when the ride was full of scream, like they made it for that
The shadiness of S&S by selling the same coaster model but changing the drop angle by half a degree each time to they can make it the new steepest...
This was good fun
Cool roller coaster I wanna ride it
It was closed/out of order when I went. Glad to see a simulation of what it could've been.
S&S El Loco's are awesome.
I'm a kid rn and this was my first roller coaster
S&S el locos are great, the only one ive been on is mumbo jumbo at flamingo land but they pack in some amazing elements in a tiny space.
OMG I’ve been on this ride when I was in Australia😂!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
Indiana Beach has one - Steel Hawg ... I was on it a couple weeks ago. When it was first built it was a little more reserved now it seems a lot faster.
Love it!!!!!
This is just like the rollercoaster in flamingo land
FR it's literally just the same
Movie World is my (honorary) home park yet I've never been on this. A combination of maintenance issues and the urge to reride Superman Escape have stopped me from riding. Hopefully I get to ride next time I go.
It’s funny how a simple looking coaster is more unreliable than an intamin accelerator at the same park
For anyone who needs more information it is Warner bros movie world in the Gold Coast Queensland Australia!
I went on that ride when I was little kid
Nice! The steepest rollercoaster I"ve been on is Saw - The Ride at Thorpe Park! (100 degrees)
Mine was Hangtime at Knotts (95 degrees)
Tnmt shellraiser (forgot how steep just a sec ltpet me check) edit: 121.5 degrees
Spoiler alert: you can’t go steeper than 90 degrees.
@@MoneyManHolmesyes you can, so many coasters do 😂
I went on this April last year, and boy when I tell you😭😭 it is terrifying
22 yrs old and it’s still holding up
Those drive wheels are TINY
When I was waiting for this ride, at 1:15 a man screamed "I LIKE MEN"
The way the lady was saying noo
i live close to the park and that ride is great that drop is harsh thou
Rode this irl it’s pretty fun and it doesn’t hurt at all
This looks like a fun one! Except for the 2 brakes in the middle.
OMG THE GREEN LANTERN IS RIGHT DOWN THE COAST FROM ME it’s near the Gold Coast my mum has rid it she said she hates it and uh yeh I can kinda see why but have any of you guys been to movie world if not you should go it is really fun!
Annoyingly this one was under maintenance the day we went to movie world, looks awesome. We still got to ride DC Rivals and Superman though :)
A larger Steel Hawg. Good hang time. 👍
I’ve been on this roller coaster!
These are fun. Indiana beach has one
Been on this coaster was very fun and mainly just trying to find our car lol
This one is easier than it looks while superman is harder than it looks. This one is quite slow - you really feel the inversions and it’s so much fun.
Looked like the same ride pattern as El Loco in Las Vegas Adventuredome, Circus Circus.
Hmmmm I’m not sure about that one tbh, looks a bit short but I bet it’s a great fit for a park that only has a small footprint to fill 👍
lol and for parks that dont have unlimited bank.
this looks affordable for mid size parks that could never afford a b&m hyper.
Compact layout ✔️
Novel elements ✔️
Decent ride time ✔️
Not sure how much these cost but looks affordable. Seems like an obvious choice for smaller theme parks. Why do we not see these more often?
Indiana Beach
theres one in Adventuredome in las vegas that is the same track layout but mirrored and indoors
@@thepoppinggenerationgap6365 "same track layout" bro el loco isnt even beyond vertical, this one is the 3rd steepest IN THE WORLD
this is literally mumbo jumbo at flamingo land but green
Yep, apparently all the coasters made by them are the same.
Rollercoaster: 15mph
Girl: scraaaaaaaeem
Would be a great Layout for a travelling coaster
I CONSTANTLY FELT LIKE FALLING OFF THE CAR LOL
This one is extremely similar to El Loco in Las Vegas Adventure Dome
I feel like the negative gs on that 120 drop would be insane without that brake 😅
For those who don't know there's a ride in the UK called mumbo jumbo which is made by S&S I believe which is almost a 1:1 replica of this ride
I do think mumbo jumbo was released before this ride tho
The drop on the red coaster in background looks funner.
super man escape
The green lantern is a good idea I wonder why they haven't made more movies
My ride is actually so high but i think this roller coaster better then what i ride😌
I ended up forgetting to take my phone out of my back pocket on this one. Not sure how it stayed in 😂.
The green lantern in New Jersey is a stand up coaster
Wild mouse next level
I remember getting stuck on Green Lantern.
This is a ride in England at a theme park called cleaning land the ride is called mumbo mumbo
Indiana Beach has a clone of this, called "Steel Hawg". It's not quite the same. It's a little smaller, a tiny bit less steep but actually notably more intense. If I remember the stats correctly, it's a little faster. But I could be wrong about that.
A little bit better than Steel Hawg probably with the 4 across seats and lap bars.
my friend managed to do almost all the rides including this one what a dare devil i barely did any
This is the mumbojumbo at flamingo land in the uk.
El Locos are basically mutant wild mice
The first drop is scary and after its fine
oh my god
