A few things you can change that are either underutilized or redundant. Perception: Really only need 1 in concentrated fire to hit specific limbs. Your perception is likely so high from unyielding/mutations that your chance to hit a target is likely very good already. Green thumb seems like a card u can swap in when farming veggies and not on all the time. Use those points for something like Ground Pounder that gives faster reload and accuracy when not in Vats. Endurance: Not sure if you're using mentats 24/7, but if it's just when farming xp at west tek & such another alternative when not xp grinding is rejuvenated. Being full hydrated gives 45% AP regen, 1 end, 45% disease resist. Fully fed gives 45 hp, 1str, 45% disease resist. That further increases thirst quencher since less likely to be diseases and even more AP regen. Just make sure to keep up on food/drink or perfect bubble gum. - Charisma: Use Tenderizer for more damage to enemies that don't die in 1 hit like super mutants, mirelurks (queen), bosses etc. - Intelligence: No batteries included? How much ammo are you running with because that can add significant amount to your weight. Also, no Gunsmith to prevent weapon breaking quicker? Demolition expert only adds a small amount to explosion part which not really worth unless using grenades. - Agility: sneak card basically useless when your agility is so high from unyielding. Basically does the job of the card and makes it redundant. I would suggest maxing out adrenaline for more damage. Can use left over for evasive for more energy resist. - Luck: with unyielding, strange in numbers, crit savvy and food or camp buff you should hit 32 luck which should give you a a crit every other hit. So cards like psychopath & 4 leaf clover kinda redundant. Instead put that into bloody mess for more damage. If you can move any more around I'd say use class freak to less all the str, Int, end, hp, you will lose from negative effect of mutations unless you chugging them every hour to negate negatives.
couple things about the build (PER) 'Concentrated fire' could be dropped to 1 star, diminishing returns for commando at full rank. id bump Tank killer at max (INT) personally, id remove 'science master' and 'scrapper' for 'Batteries included' (AGI) 'Gun fu' drop to 1 star, remove 'covert operative' and 'escape artist' and max out 'Adrenaline'. last 3 pts could be used on 'thru hiker' *if* you're running company tea, and the herbivore crit food (Luck) wayyy overkill on crit meter perks, if you're running bloodied you should be running Unyielding armor (32 Luck will give you a crit every 2 shots with 'savvy'). to revamp id go 'Better criticals', 'critical savvy', 'class freak', 'starched Genes', 'Serendipity' and 1 star 'ricochet' that last point in (PER) could probably be used for 'travel agent' or something
also, for extra 10 pts, id get Legendary Strength and Legendary Perception 4 pts could go for 'Lifegiver' for more hp 2pts for 'rejuvenated' for +45 hp and +45% ap regen (maxes endurance for disease resist and ap consumption while running) 2pts for 'Field surgeon' (this helps when backed into a wall and you can share a 1 star perk card) Last 2 pts could be used anywhere else but if you want even more damage, 2 star tenderizer
@@theslayer4050 i swear it was 33 luck i only get a crit every 2 shots with 33 luck otherwise its every other shot and then i have 1 shot where its not right sometimes
I think bloody mess usually beats psychopath in damage output even for VATS builds, and class freak is a huge buff with a mutation loadout like that. I also feel like I get more mileage out of grim reapers sprint than four leaf clover, but if your AP use is manageable without it I get it as a choice
Just a warning about this weapon. If you end up in a situation where you have to jump into your PA. The explosive damage in close quarters procs the power core drain against yourself and chews up your cores like unbelievably fast.
This is just a superb video! Carefully crafted, easily followed….and full of incredible attention to detail. Well done! Challenge for you. You have done a great job that covers half of the gaming population in Fallout 76. …… the Bloodied, low health side of the fence. How about doing this entire sequence looking at it from a full health commandos point of view?? Also, a carnivore tip. Smoked Mierluck Fillets from a Mierluck steamer with carnivore gives a huge carry weight bonus of +60 I believe….very easily acquired even if you don’t have one. … most vendors have them in their camps unlocked..

You must be golden! I just crafted and scrapped 35 Medical Malpractice and didn't get a single mod or crafting ability. In fact, lately, it seems like very few mods are resulting from scrapping legendary items.
This is great and right in time as I have an explosive plasma, Thanks a million. By chance can you do a vid on hunting down explosive Bobble heads to craft explosive mods?
I recommend dropping sneak and covert operative. Stealth just seems really buggy to me and sneak attack often does not work. If bloodied stats high enough that you are very sneaky already.
For daily driver, covert operative is still recommended as it would prevent you from getting any aggro even when running around outside events. Decryption DO is the only event where I don't like to use covert operative because I want to draw the aggro of the enemy for them to find me instead of me trying to find them

In regards to your perks. 1/3 concentrade fire is just as good as 3/3. Drop 2 points in that an get max tank killer, and maybe something else. Like bobble head finder.
@Sabahes_ASMR That's not true with all weapons. RR, laser rifle/pistol and ultracite variants, and auto plasma rifle/pistol and enclave variants all benefit from more points put into concentrated fire perk. This weapon particularly benefits because the flamer barrel has abysmal vats accuracy at range.
It pairs with the build (link in the description). My VATS head shots default to 5% from far away too, but I can fire off five shots with zero recoil in under a second. By the time they all hit the VATS chance is up to 35% and the target is dead. It also triggers critical almost every other round, so just hold the critical button down all the time when firing it. If Far Flung Fireworks hits, then their explosion will kill everything around them and even blow up cars. Like the Cremator its projectiles arc and follow targets, and I regularly kill things that moved behind cover and have a 0% VATS chance for head shots. I’ve been playing this again for the last week, and it’s still killer. We will have another video out about it and the V63 Laser Carbine today or tomorrow, and you can see its performance again. It definitely requires some extra help from the build and how you play it.
Good question. I don’t remember where I got it, but it looks like it’s actually listed as a plan for the plasma caster that works on plasma rifles (non-Enclave). You can get it from Regs or Minerva, though she won’t have it again until next March.
@@Gamer_Aviator Cheers for the reply, I have the enclave version with the flamer mod. I went to the Enclave bunker and could not see the cap mod anywhere for sale. I guess I will just craft a non-enclave version and I assume the flamer mod (as well as the cap mod) if available from Regs.
I am new to Fallout 76. Well, i got it on release and hated it. So, actually, a returning new player. I recently got to lvl50, having trouble figuring out all of this. I started as a shotgunner (was recommended as new player best option" did great for lvling. If anyone has suggestions on what to focus on to do this build commando / gunsliger for someone with limited crafting / resources. Please leave comment. For INT column. I run batteries included for the ammo weight. Gunsmith 5 and demo expert 1 since the gun breaks so damn fast. Nerd rage and fill the rest with sciene perks.

You should have put on the Aligned flamer barrel for best stats! Either way, my EPR with the aligned flamer barrel still outshines this as far as damage is concerned. This is a cool gimick weapon though! 🤘🏻
Yeah I’ve seen a few creators say aligned so mine is aligned. I was going to ask why you went flamer barrel and not aligned but this says it :) I finally got an explosive mod last night - afraid to put it on for fear of them nerfing it the next patch
@@xlejux4115 I do. I just prioritize being nigh unkillable. My son runs a bloodied build and he is used to getting killed by all kinds of dumb stuff including hot dogs. I often have to stand him back up.
A new tip incase you didn’t know. But you need to get rid of that dumb auto infiltrator perk card and add on the legendary endurance card. Bump that endurance up. I have 36 endurance and I have over 600 ap and my flamer ap use is barely noticed cause u drink a few coffees or a scorched beast lung and company tea. Your ap is almost unlimited just suck down a nuka quantum if you deplete it. It’s really awesome
I have the legendary END. I took out ammo factory for it, but I need another 250 perk coins to level it all the way up. I love infiltrator bc I can’t be bothered to unlock doors and terminals.
This Rocks! Finally, this week was able to buy a **Explosive Mod and built this gun. It does rip thru ammo like a flamer tho as opposed to regular…but no biggie there, pick up ammo and mostly good. My question is, with Halloween Scary Scorched coming up-if I change the gun to run Ultracite Plasma will it mess things up with the capacitor (or whatever the part) change-out?? I've been running a two shot explosive vats charge one of these with a few tweaked perk cards, every super mutant etc i kill fully recharges the crits, so running crit hits all the way. Soo much fun. renamed it to 'The Painful Painballer'. 😆
Been grinding for another explosive mod. First one I got I immediately put it on my quad railway. Love using it when I do solo expeditions. Love using it period. lol. Still no luck on getting another mod or learning to craft it.
You could swap demolition expert for more points in Charisma and use happy go lucky and party boy for the sweetwater special blend, sweet mutruit tea, and company tea trifecta
Wrote the following comment, but before i submitted it i logged out and logged back in and it’s working!!!!! But posting this in case someone else has the same bad experience --- Already nerfed? I just made an Instigating - Explosive - Vats Opt Plasma Rifle with Pulse Capacitor, Aligned Flamer Barred Aligned Stock Reflex Site - range is 48 … and no projectiles are come out no less at far range. I was MAYBE 55 feet from a mob, didn’t touch him, just wasted plasma carts.
Glad it worked. The only issue we've seen is that you have to add the pulse capacitor _after_ the flamer barrel. If you do it the other way around, it doesn't work.
yeah I prob did it in the wrong order and that was why it wasn’t working but changing servers has it working nicely. I’m not bloody and my armor isn’t perfectly set up for this type of build - but it’s doing nicely. I put my quad/ffr/15ap railway away for this.
You shouldn't need 3 in 4 leaf clover so long as you are able to get 33 luck with buffs. 1 point in 4 leaf clover is all you need in order to hit that sweet spot where you get a crit every other time. Also the critical savvy perk. But yeah, if you are bloodied, you are likely using unyielding, and so you should be close to 33 luck anyways. So just 1 point in 4LC.
I went and got the plans, added legendary, and got explosive ammo and ap regen right off the bat, but i got some 1star where you get 25%damage for being healthy. Im gonna swap that when I can. But still pretty lucky I think.
the 2shot version makes 36x2 damage have only 1 Xplo mod and dont want 2 add it since the risk of nerfings... FUN UPDATE ... just rolled me a Xplo version with 1st attempt
Why choose the Flamer Barrel over Aligned Flamer Barrel? The former has less accuracy and higher V.A.T.S cost, and I see that you have the plan for both.
Fireproof doesnt do anything with this weapon btw. Its not fire damage. Its plasma. Thats why it doesnt heal team mates when using friendly fire. Beef up on dense armor. That will give you the protection you were worried about.
Part about dmg resist isn't true - what happened is that dmg REDUCTION got removed but dmg resist and hp got increased significantly. Iirc bosses now have like almost 2k dmg resist so pushing armor penetration is defo good idea
RUclipsr after RUclipsr is getting this WRONG. The bonus is that I can scoop anti-armor mods for cheap because people think that it’s useless now thanks to half a*s RUclipsrs like this 😅

Thank you for a highly exciting and informative video. Former railway commando player here. So keen to switch to this Science Dweeb commando. My question is you simply applied a normal Flamer mod. I only have the Aligned Flamer Barrel. Where did you get or find your normal Flamer mod?
@@Gamer_Aviator Thank you. I now have the Flamer mod and True Stock. Both actually add +1 to AP regen. Very very happy. This Plasma Rifle melts the enemies.
So it's been a week since I watched this video. I want this gun bad. I've got my hands on two enclave plasma rifles one is vampire, +50 vats, +3 perception, it has the reflex sight and the pulse capacitor and it stomps it's a headshot machine it is better than any of my fixers. It just doesn't have the silencer.
I honestly doubt them letting us craft this is a mistake. They literally just gave us an update that gave every lvl 50 God tier weapons. Don't wanna hear the complaints that it's "overpowered" open your eyes and look at what people are using right now lol
There aren’t enough points to run all the great luck cards. You’re referring to Class Freak I think, and it’s great. But I would have to remove AP and damage boosting cards to run it, which will do more harm than good for the build.
@@Gamer_Aviator Yeh. It's just the negative effects are so bad. Like bird bones is minus 4 STR. Cancels out other buffs you have. I wouldn't have mutations without that card haha.
They should just let us have the weapons we want and are fun to use instead of nerfing everything. If the game was PVP I would understand but who cares if we kill super mutants or Mirelurks faster
You're not allowed to have the gear you really want because the endless grind is the game's end content. Once you get the best gear in the game you'll stop playing, like i did.
Unless the weapons are so much fun like this one. I’m happy to run expeditions now because it’s so satisfying to let my fingers fly across the controller without any conscious thought.
It’s not going to be nerf your going to need this for raids I’ve been using this build and don’t come across others using this but I found another broken gun with this kind of build.
Nope, nothing changed, I just didn't realize order of assembly mattered. Barrel first, then capacitor. Now I have a Zealot's blickie for the Scorched event!!
idk man this could actually make the game fun, so I don't see why they won't nerf it… They'll certainly nerf it before they patch the Thirst Quencher perk bug that won't let your AP regen when you take rad damage.
I saw someone post in the comments of a video that said if you have 15 Agility that you don't need the Sneak Perk Card because your Sneak is Already MAXED Out. Don't know if that's true thought I would throw that out there in case anyone else Knows for sure.
OK, I’m coming late to this game. I am a newbie and I have a simple question. If I spend everything I have to make this and then they Nerf it, Does it Nerf ones that have already been made or does it only prevent new ones from being made? Thanks in advance.
It depends. In the past they made it impossible to craft new weapons of a certain configuration but left existing ones alone. Those became “legacy weapons.” They’ve also straight up removed mods from weapons that were too powerful, disabling them or turning them into something else. In this case I don’t think that it’s _too_ powerful, but the configuration of explosive + flamer isn’t supposed to be possible. If I had to bet, I would bet that they remove the explosive mod from existing weapons or just disable it so that it doesn’t do anything, like if you put it on a holy fire now.
But its a flamer still even with the pulse mod. Surely its the marksman perk you need over commando? At least that what was needed when then the pulse mod first came out a couple years ago and people started using it.
Bingo, all the new plasma guys still learning I guess. Funny thing is this is still less damage than a quad railway even after the nerf. But pretty lights.
@@Oldmanmatt it's much more accurate when shooting, line of sight. The bullets take much longer to hit the target than the enclave pulse capacitor does. So often you'll find yourself having to aim it as you would a shotgun in real life. Meaning aim where your target is heading. Not where your target is at in the present moment. Like I said though. Test it out. Even when the target is stationary, your pelts will often soar above its head rather than hitting it when using vats. This gun works especially well with non vats commando builds for this reason. I'd be willing to guarantee the reason he is so accurate in the video is because of the roll. He has the 50 percent chance to hit target in vats applied. It's basically an auto aim bot. But again, that's just my opinion. However this was my favorite weapon for over a year. So I have experience with it to say the least. One thing I would also change however. Don't bother with deep pocketed. I use batteries included 3 star and it lightens the ammo load of 2000 rounds to one lb. The gun itself is also 4 lbs without any type of carry weight card. So in my opinion he's wasting useful perk points where they could be better utilized for other things. Replace the deep pocketed with the dense mod on the armor. It will protect you from the explosive damage. And Incase you didn't notice my other comments. The fire proof card isn't needed. It doesn't deal fire damage. It deals plasma damage. That's why you can't heal your team mates with the friendly fire perk. Love that he did a video on this. And I don't mean to nitpick, but I just have a very specific build for plasma. This gun breaks quick also. So don't hold down the trigger. Fire in short bursts, this is why he stated a quad is useless with it. Because you'd break your gun within one clip with a quad roll. To extend its life use the perception gunsmith perk extending it's life by 50 percent, the luck perk lucky break, and if you really want to ensure it's lifespan, use the civil engineer armor. It extends the life of weapons by 35 percent when wearing a full set. It seems like a lot of requirements to have this weapon and it is, but it's such a powerful weapon it's worth it. Absolutely no recoil. Low weight weapon, and you can practically feel how agile your character is while using it. It's a thing of beauty and I sincerely hope they don't patch it again. There aren't very many weapons like this in the game that actually require the player to dedicate themself to their card layout and in my opinion we need more weapons that require the dedication to the craft.

So before I tweak can You do same with enclave rifle or does it need to be only plain plasma rifle. I have the mods but want to make sure on right rifle
As cool as this is I haven’t found anything that works better for me then the cold shoulder though I do keep a quantum thrist zapper and holy fire on hand for boss events I as have a creamator but rarely use it.
We need to ban together and write tickets thanking bethesda for bringing this back. Stand together people. Maybe they will then stop nerfing our favorite weapons.
Just out of curiosity. I have this plasma caster with aristocrats, explosive and vats enhanced. And for some reason ever since I got it it literally I drain fusion cores in minutes, I went back to the holy fire build and haven't had that problem. Anyone know what's up with that? Maybe a Bethesda glitch or is it the build?
That’s an interesting glitch. Plasma caster shouldn’t be connected to fusion cores at all. If you can recorded that happening, it would be worth opening a ticket with B support to report it.
@@Gamer_Aviator I figured it out. It's not a glitch, the pulse capacitor mod drains "target" Power armor battery by 5% and if you damage yourself with the blast radius you'll drain your own fusion cores. Maybe a note to all power armor users?

@@Gamer_Aviator With 33 luck you can crit every other shot. If you have 15 vats crit charge as 3rd star you can crit every other shot with 23 luck.
By the time I get the explosive mod it’ll be nerfed!

You must be golden! I just crafted and scrapped 35 Medical Malpractice and didn't get a single mod or crafting ability. In fact, lately, it seems like very few mods are resulting from scrapping legendary items.

I recommend dropping sneak and covert operative. Stealth just seems really buggy to me and sneak attack often does not work. If bloodied stats high enough that you are very sneaky already.
in certain events sneak is turned off automatically no matter how high ur skill is
other than that i find sneak to be amazing it obliterates enemies
For daily driver, covert operative is still recommended as it would prevent you from getting any aggro even when running around outside events. Decryption DO is the only event where I don't like to use covert operative because I want to draw the aggro of the enemy for them to find me instead of me trying to find them
Not to mention that the plasma rifle is LOUD, especially with a flamer. Sneak is non existent with this gun!

In regards to your perks. 1/3 concentrade fire is just as good as 3/3. Drop 2 points in that an get max tank killer, and maybe something else. Like bobble head finder.

RR, laser rifle/pistol and ultracite variants, and auto plasma rifle/pistol and enclave variants all benefit from more points put into concentrated fire perk. This weapon particularly benefits because the flamer barrel has abysmal vats accuracy at range.

I just learned explosive yesterday and I have a perfect plasma rifle to add it to 😁
I built this today and the explosive area is extremely small. VATS to the head defaults at 5% at a mid distance. It's strong, but only from up close.
It pairs with the build (link in the description). My VATS head shots default to 5% from far away too, but I can fire off five shots with zero recoil in under a second. By the time they all hit the VATS chance is up to 35% and the target is dead. It also triggers critical almost every other round, so just hold the critical button down all the time when firing it. If Far Flung Fireworks hits, then their explosion will kill everything around them and even blow up cars. Like the Cremator its projectiles arc and follow targets, and I regularly kill things that moved behind cover and have a 0% VATS chance for head shots.
I’ve been playing this again for the last week, and it’s still killer. We will have another video out about it and the V63 Laser Carbine today or tomorrow, and you can see its performance again. It definitely requires some extra help from the build and how you play it.
Just add grenadier. One point in it should be enough, 2 if you really are lazy.

Good question. I don’t remember where I got it, but it looks like it’s actually listed as a plan for the plasma caster that works on plasma rifles (non-Enclave). You can get it from Regs or Minerva, though she won’t have it again until next March.

I am new to Fallout 76. Well, i got it on release and hated it. So, actually, a returning new player.
I recently got to lvl50, having trouble figuring out all of this. I started as a shotgunner (was recommended as new player best option" did great for lvling.

For INT column. I run batteries included for the ammo weight. Gunsmith 5 and demo expert 1 since the gun breaks so damn fast. Nerd rage and fill the rest with sciene perks.

You should have put on the Aligned flamer barrel for best stats! Either way, my EPR with the aligned flamer barrel still outshines this as far as damage is concerned. This is a cool gimick weapon though! 🤘🏻

This looks more like an unintended interaction of the explosive effect with the Pulse Capacitor, rather than explosive on energy guns being "OP"
I have been running plasma rifle for a while. I will use some of this but I don't do bloodied. I lean toward being tougher than a cast -iron radroach.

A new tip incase you didn’t know. But you need to get rid of that dumb auto infiltrator perk card and add on the legendary endurance card. Bump that endurance up. I have 36 endurance and I have over 600 ap and my flamer ap use is barely noticed cause u drink a few coffees or a scorched beast lung and company tea. Your ap is almost unlimited just suck down a nuka quantum if you deplete it. It’s really awesome
I have the legendary END. I took out ammo factory for it, but I need another 250 perk coins to level it all the way up. I love infiltrator bc I can’t be bothered to unlock doors and terminals.
This Rocks! Finally, this week was able to buy a **Explosive Mod and built this gun. It does rip thru ammo like a flamer tho as opposed to regular…but no biggie there, pick up ammo and mostly good. My question is, with Halloween Scary Scorched coming up-if I change the gun to run Ultracite Plasma will it mess things up with the capacitor (or whatever the part) change-out??

I've been running a two shot explosive vats charge one of these with a few tweaked perk cards, every super mutant etc i kill fully recharges the crits, so running crit hits all the way. Soo much fun. renamed it to 'The Painful Painballer'. 😆

I would use Batteries Included and class Freak perks to help with carry weight plus Bloody Mess is a better perk than paycopath.
Been grinding for another explosive mod. First one I got I immediately put it on my quad railway. Love using it when I do solo expeditions. Love using it period. lol. Still no luck on getting another mod or learning to craft it.
You could swap demolition expert for more points in Charisma and use happy go lucky and party boy for the sweetwater special blend, sweet mutruit tea, and company tea trifecta

Wrote the following comment, but before i submitted it i logged out and logged back in and it’s working!!!!! But posting this in case someone else has the same bad experience --- Already nerfed? I just made an Instigating - Explosive - Vats Opt Plasma Rifle with Pulse Capacitor, Aligned Flamer Barred Aligned Stock Reflex Site - range is 48 … and no projectiles are come out no less at far range. I was MAYBE 55 feet from a mob, didn’t touch him, just wasted plasma carts.
Glad it worked. The only issue we've seen is that you have to add the pulse capacitor _after_ the flamer barrel. If you do it the other way around, it doesn't work.
yeah I prob did it in the wrong order and that was why it wasn’t working but changing servers has it working nicely. I’m not bloody and my armor isn’t perfectly set up for this type of build - but it’s doing nicely. I put my quad/ffr/15ap railway away for this.
DPS is on par with a bloodied explosive auto EPR. Its not as out of the world OP as you make it out to be. I'd be surprised if it got fixed tbh
You shouldn't need 3 in 4 leaf clover so long as you are able to get 33 luck with buffs. 1 point in 4 leaf clover is all you need in order to hit that sweet spot where you get a crit every other time. Also the critical savvy perk.
But yeah, if you are bloodied, you are likely using unyielding, and so you should be close to 33 luck anyways. So just 1 point in 4LC.

I will never be able to do this again. First try crafting this weapon, my random legendary mods rolled Gourmand's, Explosive, and Resilient.

you don't even need to be bloodied for this gun to destroy, definitely want to go that route to use it in vats though.
I went and got the plans, added legendary, and got explosive ammo and ap regen right off the bat, but i got some 1star where you get 25%damage for being healthy. Im gonna swap that when I can. But still pretty lucky I think.

Fireproof doesnt do anything with this weapon btw. Its not fire damage. Its plasma. Thats why it doesnt heal team mates when using friendly fire. Beef up on dense armor. That will give you the protection you were worried about.
Part about dmg resist isn't true - what happened is that dmg REDUCTION got removed but dmg resist and hp got increased significantly. Iirc bosses now have like almost 2k dmg resist so pushing armor penetration is defo good idea
RUclipsr after RUclipsr is getting this WRONG. The bonus is that I can scoop anti-armor mods for cheap because people think that it’s useless now thanks to half a*s RUclipsrs like this 😅

So it's been a week since I watched this video. I want this gun bad. I've got my hands on two enclave plasma rifles one is vampire, +50 vats, +3 perception, it has the reflex sight and the pulse capacitor and it stomps it's a headshot machine it is better than any of my fixers. It just doesn't have the silencer.
I honestly doubt them letting us craft this is a mistake. They literally just gave us an update that gave every lvl 50 God tier weapons.
Don't wanna hear the complaints that it's "overpowered" open your eyes and look at what people are using right now lol

There aren’t enough points to run all the great luck cards. You’re referring to Class Freak I think, and it’s great. But I would have to remove AP and damage boosting cards to run it, which will do more harm than good for the build.
@@Gamer_Aviator Yeh. It's just the negative effects are so bad. Like bird bones is minus 4 STR. Cancels out other buffs you have. I wouldn't have mutations without that card haha.

You're not allowed to have the gear you really want because the endless grind is the game's end content. Once you get the best gear in the game you'll stop playing, like i did.
Unless the weapons are so much fun like this one. I’m happy to run expeditions now because it’s so satisfying to let my fingers fly across the controller without any conscious thought.

Nope, nothing changed, I just didn't realize order of assembly mattered. Barrel first, then capacitor. Now I have a Zealot's blickie for the Scorched event!!

idk man this could actually make the game fun, so I don't see why they won't nerf it… They'll certainly nerf it before they patch the Thirst Quencher perk bug that won't let your AP regen when you take rad damage.
I saw someone post in the comments of a video that said if you have 15 Agility that you don't need the Sneak Perk Card because your Sneak is Already MAXED Out. Don't know if that's true thought I would throw that out there in case anyone else Knows for sure.

OK, I’m coming late to this game. I am a newbie and I have a simple question. If I spend everything I have to make this and then they Nerf it, Does it Nerf ones that have already been made or does it only prevent new ones from being made? Thanks in advance.
It depends. In the past they made it impossible to craft new weapons of a certain configuration but left existing ones alone. Those became “legacy weapons.” They’ve also straight up removed mods from weapons that were too powerful, disabling them or turning them into something else. In this case I don’t think that it’s _too_ powerful, but the configuration of explosive + flamer isn’t supposed to be possible. If I had to bet, I would bet that they remove the explosive mod from existing weapons or just disable it so that it doesn’t do anything, like if you put it on a holy fire now.

@@Oldmanmatt it's much more accurate when shooting, line of sight. The bullets take much longer to hit the target than the enclave pulse capacitor does. So often you'll find yourself having to aim it as you would a shotgun in real life. Meaning aim where your target is heading. Not where your target is at in the present moment. Like I said though.
Test it out. Even when the target is stationary, your pelts will often soar above its head rather than hitting it when using vats. This gun works especially well with non vats commando builds for this reason. I'd be willing to guarantee the reason he is so accurate in the video is because of the roll.
He has the 50 percent chance to hit target in vats applied. It's basically an auto aim bot. But again, that's just my opinion. However this was my favorite weapon for over a year. So I have experience with it to say the least.
One thing I would also change however. Don't bother with deep pocketed. I use batteries included 3 star and it lightens the ammo load of 2000 rounds to one lb. The gun itself is also 4 lbs without any type of carry weight card. So in my opinion he's wasting useful perk points where they could be better utilized for other things. Replace the deep pocketed with the dense mod on the armor. It will protect you from the explosive damage. And Incase you didn't notice my other comments. The fire proof card isn't needed. It doesn't deal fire damage. It deals plasma damage. That's why you can't heal your team mates with the friendly fire perk.
Love that he did a video on this. And I don't mean to nitpick, but I just have a very specific build for plasma.
This gun breaks quick also. So don't hold down the trigger. Fire in short bursts, this is why he stated a quad is useless with it. Because you'd break your gun within one clip with a quad roll.
To extend its life use the perception gunsmith perk extending it's life by 50 percent, the luck perk lucky break, and if you really want to ensure it's lifespan, use the civil engineer armor. It extends the life of weapons by 35 percent when wearing a full set.
It seems like a lot of requirements to have this weapon and it is, but it's such a powerful weapon it's worth it.
Absolutely no recoil. Low weight weapon, and you can practically feel how agile your character is while using it. It's a thing of beauty and I sincerely hope they don't patch it again.
There aren't very many weapons like this in the game that actually require the player to dedicate themself to their card layout and in my opinion we need more weapons that require the dedication to the craft.

Just out of curiosity. I have this plasma caster with aristocrats, explosive and vats enhanced. And for some reason ever since I got it it literally I drain fusion cores in minutes, I went back to the holy fire build and haven't had that problem. Anyone know what's up with that? Maybe a Bethesda glitch or is it the build?
That’s an interesting glitch. Plasma caster shouldn’t be connected to fusion cores at all. If you can recorded that happening, it would be worth opening a ticket with B support to report it.
@@Gamer_Aviator I figured it out. It's not a glitch, the pulse capacitor mod drains "target" Power armor battery by 5% and if you damage yourself with the blast radius you'll drain your own fusion cores. Maybe a note to all power armor users?
