  • Classical Pianist Opeth Burden Reaction
Today I will be reacting to Opeth Burden. I know that a lot of you guys love Opeth and some of you have rec recommended Burden to react to. Opeth Burden piano parts are very simple but rich in sound and color. Also, Opeth Burden acoustic parts give a change in the mood every minute leaving you with a taste of wanting more.
Opeth burden lyrics can be found online or even here on youtube if you want to read while you listen to the track. Also, this is not an Opeth burden live performance, only a recorded mastered track. Enjoy!

Yeah the end is a metric modulation from like a slow 2/4 to 6/8 and it's so damn smooth.
At the very end he's literally got someone detuning the strings as he's playing the same riff over and over.

Yep, it’s like it was a prank but then they were like “that is kind of cool let’s put it in the album” kind of thing

@@PJAlphaMusic he's not even joking. Although Opeth has the advantage of having less songs per album compared to your standard radio length stuff since 6 minutes is about the shortest you'll hear on an entire album.

@@Bobbias which is good. The freedom to make music and not obey to a 3 min short song it’s a blessing.

I would love to see your reactions to all of the classics of Opeth (studio first, definitely) - like Ghost of Perdition, Bleak, Blackwater Park, The Moor, Godhead's Lament, The Leper Affinity, When, Demon of the Fall, ah man you can't really go wrong no matter what you choose. If I listen to Opeth, I listen to them an album at a time. But if possible do 1999 - 2008 stuff first, before you do the earliest and latest stuff.

First of sick reaction definitely a new subscriber! Also the end part of this song, Mikael was playing it and I'm not sure who it was but while recording he de tuned his guitar while he was playing, it's Mikaels laugh at the end and they decided to keep it in the song!

The solo at 3:30 where u were moving your hands as you're playing a guitar, that was actually a keyboard/organ solo.......

Any, and all Opeth is great. I'm subscribing for, hopefully more.
If you want ballads, Harvest is great, and Benighted too.
If you want clean & growl combined, then Hessian Peel is a great start. 🤘🙂🤘

The part where you talk about dorian is incorrect.
The harmony just modulates. It starts in A natural minor then it modulates (in a weird way)
to G minor but uses the major dominant with the leading tone.
