Great video Denise. Thank you for sharing the prices. My spouse is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel so we get access to the commissary on base near our home in the Seattle area. The prices at the commissary are so much cheaper than regular chain stores. It helps make up for all those long deployments and years apart I guess. Love your channel and the community you have built
I’ve gotten creamed corn by accident before. My husband and kids do not like it. It’s been awhile, but I think I put it in other recipes, like corn chowder and corn bread.

Grocery hauls are some of my favorite videos! They give me ideas for what things I can buy/recipes I can make. Also, whenever I see things for long term storage I am always inspired to keep up on mine even if small.
I like grocery hauls too. I’m just nosy. I like seeing what other homemakers purchase and how they might use the items.

The “Kroger family” store here in Tucson had 93/7 burger for $3.77 # in 2# packs 😃. I bought 4 packs. Since I was shopping on the first Wednesday of the month, it was Senior 10% off day…so I saved even more off my total grocery bill. 🥳🥳🥳🥳
We also use the Kroger brand 90 second rice. We think it’s a good substitute for Uncle Ben’s😁
I didn't know about Senior day. I'm going to look into that. I am definitely a senior. I missed that low price. Now for the Kroger rice, the jury is still out on that one. One of the packs was kind of lumpy. It didn't seem to cook as smoothly as the Ben's original but let me use it more and then decide. I will make a review about it.

Kroger has ground beef 80%lean for $3.79 a pound. Sam's and Costco have their rotessier chicken $4.98 and the chicken is approx 3lbs.
Oh...those are good beef prices. By the time I get back there the prices may not be the same. Hmmmm. Ill see what's what. Thank you.
I love fried Fish! We try to have some type of fish on Sunday. That's our day off vegan. The Big Guy looks forward to a day off. Thank you for reminding our friends to keep their pantries stocked.

It is good…especially when one has a sore throat.
It amazes me how tiring grocery shopping has become for me. More often than not, I self-checkout. The stores are larger, and it makes it more difficult to cover everything, backtracking if something is forgotten. I have one small store near me, and shopping there, so much easier, and they check me out, even offer carry out service if needed. A delight! I haven't done on-line ordering as yet. ...love the avocado purchase. Didn't know that was available.
Terri, I hear you. By the time one gets home with the groceries and gets them put away, you can be worn out. That's why I picked up that rotisserie chicken for dinner. And its great for leftovers. Do consider online shopping. It's a transition but it is totally worth it on some days. Walmart, Kroger, and so many stores offer that service. Try it at least twice then decide how you like it. Let me know your thoughts.

Thank you for sharing your grocery haul, Denise. Prices are so high right now. I use smoked turkey wings or legs in my greens, green beans, and when I make a pot of beans. My oldest daughter has a beef and pork allergy from a tick bite so I can't use either of those when she's here. The smoked turkey has been a good substitute for pork in those dishes.
