White people don’t need as much lotion. We have more oily skin ( evolved to keep us warmer in colder climes in Europe.) and too much lotion will just makes break out in white heads. Black people have less oil ( oil conducts heat which you don’t need in hot Africa). Black peoples bodies are made to perspire with less oil and that dries out their skin. That’s also why we have to wash our hair at least every other day or it turns into a oily mess. In winter with the dry heat and less humidity we need some lotion. Oh, the subtleties of environmental evolution!

I literally never heard the word ashy before until I saw this Bill Burr bit a few years ago! Unfortunately I live in a very rural area that is mostly white people so I don't know as much about other groups of people as I wish I did. There is a somewhat significant portion of the population close to where I live that is Hispanic and I've dated some people who have immigrated from Mexico and I have some Filipino friends but that's really about it. 😕 I mean obviously I have met people of pretty much every race but as far as close friends there is just really a limited population of people where I live. Great reaction 😅💖
That's ok. You can find diversity just about anywhere in the world. So if you enjoy traveling, definitely embrace other races, cultures, etc. You'll be glad you did. 😊
I first learned about lotion working at a janitorial service as a teenager. Most of my co workers were black and there were bottles of Corn Husker's Lotion (Reallllllyyy thick jelly looking lotion that keeps moisturizing for quite a while) everywhere in the shop. One of the ladies I worked with was slathering it on and telling another that the heat had made her all Husky (Ashy). I made no comment but took it in. Dawned on me in that moment that, melanin content aside, Her skin and mine were pretty much the same except she could see the dry skin easily and I couldn't. I've used lotion ever since.
Wow! I like how observant you were in that moment. A lot of folks would have thought nothing of a random comment they overheard. This is a unique way to learn from another race. I truly enjoyed reading this. Thank you for sharing and adding some positivity to the comments section! 😊😊

It's about the moisture, but it ain't about being ashy.
I love how you said "I guess you get dry and ashy there too", showing you knew the magic therein before he even explained it, lol
The first time I saw this routine I thought it was really funny . Then I realized why I get itchy . Be damned if he isn't right , lol !
😂🤣
😂
lol these ladies are too funny, even finishing each other sentences haha
Thank you! We find ourselves doing that a lot LOL 😊😊
Oh, the subtleties of environmental evolution!

white a.f. woman here, and I cannot live without my Gold Bond lotion and my Blistex lip ointment. Also, I missed the mom's name, but I bet we're close in age, and I want to say you're both gorgeous! And Mom, your hair here is classic, it takes me back, I love it! Be well, both of you!

Thank you!! 😊 So glad to hear that you enjoyed the video. Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you again soon!
I love that you do this with your mom. I havnt seen my mom for 3 years now.
Why don't you visit your mom?

I love too laugh with both of you lovely ladies, thank you for your company, don't stop!
