- Found another cool old (1968) vintage Riot shotgun.
The serial number on this dates to early to mid 1968, and is in the serial range for shotguns purchased by the government.
Show signs of wear from sitting on its sides sliding around in a trunk for many years.
Doesn’t have any military markings or PD markings, but the receiver was repainted and the stock was refinished so maybe some markings may have been worn off.
This is a pretty complicated action for a pump shotgun, but I was able to clean it and get it back together.
Another cool military/riot shotgun to add to the collection. I need to do a separate series on my shotguns…
Your channel has become a go-to for nostalgia trips. 🍻
The wife came with a 1200 and it quickly became my favorite pump action.
Tracked down a cherry 1993 1300 Defender just before the virus hit for a steal.
Awesome! Thanks for stopping in! I need to take mine out again
My first shotgun. My 1200 didnt have an RIOT stamped on it. Cool find. You're correct on over manufacturing. I bought a 500 in 1983 and never looked back.
Nice old school shotgun A good find. Definitely have shopping skills. Lol
Thanks! I just have an eye for old cool blued and wood :)
I had a 1300 Defender it was an absolutely awesome shotgun.
Yeah I have heard good things about the 1300’s as well
@@crankygunreviewsI had one given to me made in 1987. Corncob forstock. The speed pump takes getting used to, for me anyway. But, great shotgun.
All the cooler for sure.
Thanks Buffalo!
Holy Ski Daddler that's a nice looking scatter gun!
Lol! That ski Daddler tag is gonna stick now
@@crankygunreviews It sure is.
Sweet thumbs 👍
Thanks!
Got a model 12, looking for the 1200 and 1300 next. Just went to a gun show and they had some 12s, but no 1200 or 1300s. Definitely the next pumps im getting when i find some
I didn’t even know this existed… may have a 1912 coming though 😎
Apparently me and you both love combat shotguns
Very much! I have several vintage ones together for a history video, but haven’t had time to assemble footage and info yet.
