Interesting video. As always. For average salary in my experience : It starts from Rs 5k to Rs 30k max, may or may not include transport fare. This includes both all of jobs. Restaurants or office For working hours: for full time students its 20 hrs a week. For part time students (master's studentsmostly) 45hrs a week.
How do you start to find work? I normally ask about and get no where and then when we hire a car for the day 2000rs for the day I ask about as I'm out but no one gives me any information. Unfortunately everyone wants to talk about football that I have no interest in or want to tell me where the beach is which is nothing to do with finding a job. Job hunting in this country is very frustrating!
Hi and good day, please I'd to ask a question. As a student in mauritius, can I take care of feeding, accommodation and tuition fees all by myself with the salary I get working as a student? I'm currently in nigeria
Hi Theodosia, im struggling to find a clear answer to this question - are part time students allowed to work in Mauritius? Middlesex university informed me that only full-time students are allowed to work.
You can actually work as a part-time student. Middlesex has that stupid law but the government doesn't restrict you from working as a student. I was a part time masters student and I was working. Only issue is you will not inform school that you are working and where. Hope this helps
As a student in Mauritis, can i take care of my feeding, accomodation and tuition fees all by myself with the salary i get working as a student? I am currently in Nigeria
As a student you can pay for hour food and rent but not tuition fees. Remember, you are only allowed to work 20hours a week legally. And salaries are not that high. Get your tuition fees paid and you can handle the rest.
Hello there, I bumped into your video as I was searching for schools in Mauritius. I want to study English Language Education at the Mauritius Institute of Education and they have asked me to send my results for 'equivalence of qualification' to the Ministry of Education and Human resources (National Equivalence Committee) I read through the website and nothing talks about how the application form for equivalence and my supporting results be submitted. I don't know if it's by courier service or email. Please could you help me out by explaining what processes I should follow? Thank you in anticipation.
I don't know what is the maximum amount a student should make but a student is only allowed to work 20 hours a week (except during holidays), but as a student I used to make 18 thousands and a friend of mine was making 30k. It depends on the company and your skills. You should definitely bargain if you have the skills, and if you feel the company can afford the amount you want.
